Sarajevo Opposes Sanctions Against Iran, Seeks All-Out Ties With Islamic States

SARAJEVO, Bosnian/Croat Federation — New Bosnian Foreign Minister Sven Alkalay said that “his country” was against imposing any kind of sanction on Iran as a solution to the country’s nuclear activities, IRNA reported. Thinking, of course, Republic of Srpska part of Bosnia is also “his country” and that he can speak in the name of Bosnian Serbs too.
In a meeting with Iran’s Ambassador to Sarajevo, Mohammad-Reza Morshedzadeh, he reiterated Tehran’s “inalienable right to pursue peaceful nuclear technology” and called for settlement of Iran’s nuclear case through diplomatic channels, Iranian news agency IRNA reports.
He further “praised Iran’s humanitarian support for the Bosnian people during his country’s war and reconstruction period,” but said nothing about the Iranian mujahedeen sent to Bosnia during war to join the Muslim slaughter of Serbs — for which, no doubt, he is even more grateful.
Alkalay voiced his country’s interest in boosting all-out ties with Islamic states, Iran in particular, and said “Sarajevo is ready to utilize Iran’s valuable experiences and potentials in economic, industrial and scientific fields,” IRNA says.
Underscoring the importance of exchange of visits between the two countries’ officials in promotion of bilateral ties, he announced his readiness to visit Tehran in the near future.
The Iranian envoy, for his part, briefed the Bosnian foreign minister on the latest developments in Iran’s nuclear activities. He expressed hope that Tehran-Sarajevo cooperation would further bolster in all fields. As if it could be bolstered more!
By the way, this is exactly the kind of nightmare Bosnian Serbs did not want to live out and the reason why the Izetbegovic war in Bosnia was waged in the first place: Dhimmitude never was a Serbian cup of tea and being forced to embrace as your own the country that defines its interest as “boosting all-out ties with Islamic states, Iran in particular” is more akin to a deadly grip, than to a rosy future Serbs can look forward to.

Germans Scared of Us

Here’s an unsurprising statistic from Spiegel Online, in an article about Europe’s incredibly dysfunctional, deranged anti-Americanism: Opinion: Evil Americans, Poor Mullahs. (Hat tip: St. Pancake.)
Forty-eight percent of Germans think the United States is more dangerous than Iran, a new survey shows, with only 31 percent believing the opposite. Germans’ fundamental hypocrisy about the US suggests that it’s high time for a new bout of re-education.
Yes, since that last bout of re-education was so successful.
Here’s the important bit:
The German political establishment, which will no doubt loudly lament the result of the poll, is largely responsible for this wave of anti-Americanism. For years the country’s foreign ministers fed the Germans the fairy tale of what they called a “critical dialogue” between Europe and Iran. It went something like this: If we are nice to the ayatollahs, cuddle up to them a bit and occasionally wag our fingers at them when they’ve been naughty, they’ll stop condemning their women to death for “unchaste behavior” and they’ll stop building the atom bomb.
Another word for this is “appeasement”—the European malady.

Forfeiting Nothing: Main Argument for Kosovo’s Secession Bogus

Article by Nebojsa Malic
Despite fierce opposition from Belgrade and Moscow, the UN-designated “mediator” for Kosovo, former Finnish president and ICG board member [link to ICG available in the original article] Martti Ahtisaari submitted his proposal this week to the UN Security Council. Ahtisaari told Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon that “supervised independence” was the “only viable option” for the Serbian province, occupied since June 1999 by NATO and administered by a UN mission and a “provisional” ethnic Albanian government.
Washington has declared its ironclad support to Ahtisaari’s proposal, rejecting out of hand any further negotiations. According to NATO Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, the Alliance also fully supports Ahtisaari.
After a 78-day illegal war, followed by almost eight years of violent occupation, the Empire is finally making a move to separate Kosovo from Serbia. The decision is in line with its systematic violations of international law, NATO and UN charter, the U.S. Constitution, and even the very UN resolution that created a precarious legal cover for the occupation.
What is even worse, the reasoning invoked to justify this criminal act is cynical and duplicitous, bearing no relationship to truth or logic.

Germany: Paving the Way for a Muslim Parallel Society

More on the German Qur'an case: "Paving the Way for a Muslim Parallel Society," from Spiegel Online, with thanks to all who sent this in:
A recent ruling in Germany by a judge who cited the Koran underscores the dilemma the country faces in reconciling Western values with a growing immigrant population. A disturbing number of rulings are helping to create a parallel Muslim world in Germany that is welcoming to Islamic fundamentalists.
She didn't know it, nor did she even expect it. She had good intentions. Perhaps it was a mistake. In fact, it was most certainly a mistake. The best thing to do would be to wipe the slate clean.
Last week, in the middle of the storm, Christa Datz-Winter, a judge on Frankfurt's family court, was speechless. But Bernhard Olp, a spokesman for the city's municipal court, was quick to jump in. Olp reported that the judge had been under emotional stress stemming from a murder that had been committed in her office 10 years ago, and that she was now planning to take a break to recuperate. He also mentioned that she was "outraged" -- not about herself or her scandalous ruling, but over the reactions the case has triggered.
The reactions were so fierce that one could have been forgiven for mistakenly thinking that Germany's Muslims had won the headscarf dispute and the controversy over the Mohammed cartoons on a single day and, in one fell swoop, had taken a substantial bite out of the legal foundations of Western civilization.

Cat Stevens: The Singing Taliban Misogynist & His Islamic Cultural Imperialism

The Moderate Mr. Islam shows his immoderation yet again. Rusty Shackleford has the story:
Cat Stevens, aka ‘Yusuf Islam', is back on the radar screen. This time, for refusing to talk to women who were unveiled. Apparently, he was at an awards ceremony in Germany where he was the honored guest for 'building bridges betwen the West and Muslim world', but he refused to talk to his unveiled hosts. Charles Johnson has the details.
Building bridges? Perhaps, but the only bridges being built by 'Mr. Islam' seem to lead back to the 15th century.
Cat Stevens is held up by the press and entertainment industry as a 'model Muslim'. In addition to the German award, this year he performed at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony!

Cat Stevens, aka Yusuf Islam, aka Fanatic Misogynist

The singer formerly known as Cat Stevens, now known as either ‘Yusuf Islam’ or ‘Yusuf’ depending on which audience is watching, accepted a “lifetime achivement” award in Germany over the weekend, for “building bridges” between Islam and the West—and refused to speak with the infidel female guides at the event, because they weren’t wearing the badge of submission: Yusuf Islam Ignores Bare-Headed Women.
Muslim singer YUSUF ISLAM reportedly refused to speak with the female guides at a German event over the weekend (24-25MAR07) because they weren’t veiled - despite accepting an honour for building bridges between Eastern and Western cultures.
The star, formerly known as CAT STEVENS, received a special prize at the Echo Awards last night (25MAR07) in Berlin for his musical, social and political work and was praised as a bridge-builder between the West and the Islamic world.
However, when the FATHER AND SON singer, 58, rehearsed his appearance the day before the prize giving (24MAR07), he acted rather narrow minded, according to German publication B.Z.
When the hostesses approached Islam, who arrived with his management and his veiled wife FAEZIA, telling him that they were his guides, he simply ignored them and didn’t even take a look at the women.
Islam’s manager explains, “Mr Islam doesn’t speak with women except his wife. Least of all if they don’t wear a headscarf. Things like that only happen via an intermediary.”

More Muslims arrested in anti-terror sweep in Serbia

BELGRADE, Serbia-A Muslim man was arrested in Serbia on Saturday for allegedly planning terror attacks, police said Saturday.
Jasmin Smailovic, a Serbian citizen from the tense southern Sandzak region, joins four other Muslims who were arrested last week for preparing attacks "against the state" in a secret training camp.
Police said they had found large quantities of plastic explosives, ammunition, face masks, military uniforms and other equipment in a mountain cave that they believe served as a training ground for Wahhabis, Muslims who practice an austere brand of Sunni Islam promoted by extremists, including al-Qaida.
Western intelligence reports leaked recently have suggested that Sandzak, as well as Muslim-dominated regions in neighboring Bosnia, could serve as a recruitment spot for the so-called "white al-Qaida", Muslims with Western features who could easily blend into European or U.S. cities and carry out attacks.
Several incidents have been reported recently in Sandzak, with the Wahhabis accusing local Muslim clerics of failing to practice "true" Islam and disrupting prayers at local mosques.

One hopes that this is not just now occurring to Western intelligence. It would have been nice had it occurred to somebody back in the 90s before we bombed Christian Serbs in support of Muslim terrorists.

Austrian FM: Islam a reality in Europe

From PressTV:
Austrian Foreign Minister Ursula Plassnik says European Muslims should play more pronounced social roles in Europe.
Frau Plassnik seems likely to get her wish.
She made the remarks at the inaugural ceremony of the conference "Islam in Europe" which was sponsored by the Austrian foreign ministry and aimed at reviewing avenues to bolster positive understanding between the West and Islam.
The Austrian Foreign Minister added that Islamic models of life at personal and social spheres should be given ample room.
Is the Atlantic Ocean enough room?
Also contributing to the conference were the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna and religious as well as social science experts from both Islamic and non-Islamic countries.
"Experts" -- thy name is Legion.
Plassnik noted that any body in Europe should accept Islam as a social reality, while calling on Muslim communities to try to integrate their communal beliefs and convictions into the social fabric of the European culture.
Super. Be sure to let us know how that goes.
Elsewhere in her speech, the Austrian FM called for an increased social presence by Muslim women in Europe, and promised that a future conference themed "Women in the Middle East" will be held in Vienna in the coming months to explore the issue.
Speaking at the meeting, the head of the Islamic Religious Authority in Austria Anas al-Shafqa referred to a recent case in which a German judge reportedly cited the Muslim holy book, The Quran, for turning down a Muslim woman's divorce plea on the grounds that her husband beat her. Al-Shafqa said such a case is by no means a representation of the Muslim faith.
Well, thank goodness for that!

Serbian Jewish group offers help in prosecuting WWII Nazi

BELGRADE, Serbia-A Jewish group on Wednesday offered to help Hungarian authorities prosecute a Hungarian man accused of the World War II killings of more than 1,000 Jews and Serbs in a Serbian town.
The Union of Jewish Communities in Serbia said it could offer several witnesses and wartime documents of the 1942 massacre of some 800 Jews and 400 Serbs in Novi Sad, north of Belgrade, allegedly conducted by Hungarian Nazi troops which controlled the area at the time.
The Simon Wiesenthal Center and its Nazi hunters said in a statement that one of those responsible was Hungarian citizen Sandor Kepiro, now 93. Kepiro, who was a gendarmerie lieutenant in Novi Sad at the time, emigrated to Argentina after the war but returned to Hungary in 1996.
The Jewish group said it "strongly supports demands that Sandor Kepiro be charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity for the massacre that was conducted under his command in 1942 in Novi Sad."
Hungarian prosecutors recently opened an investigation into Kepiro following demands by the Wiesenthal Center and after researchers in Belgrade found a copy of a 1944 Hungarian court verdict that found him guilty of disloyalty to Hungary.
Last month, the Budapest Municipal Court said the 1944 ruling sentencing Kepiro to 10 years in prison could not be enforced because a retrial shortly afterward annulled the sentence.
Kepiro has denied the accusations, saying he was a scapegoat in a show trial.

Bush authorizes arming of Serbia

In a memorandum to the Secretary of State, President Bush has authorized arming of Serbia and its once partner, Montenegro.
According to the White House Press Release, President Bush has authorized "furnishing defense articles and defense services" to both, Montenegro and Serbia.
"Pursuant to the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, including section 503(a) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended, and section 3(a)(1) of the Arms Export Control Act, as amended, I hereby find that the furnishing of defense articles and defense services to the Republic of Montenegro and the Republic of Serbia will strengthen the security of the United States and promote world peace," says the George Bush memo to the Secretary of State.
It is not clear whether "furnishing" implies sale of arms or a grant of arms to Serbia.
Addressing the Secretary of State, President George Bush further orders that "You are authorized and directed to transmit this determination to the Congress and to arrange for the publication of this determination in the Federal Register."

Bosnians Turn on Terrorists

Bosnian police recently discovered, and shut down, a terrorist training camp run by local Wahabi Moslems. The Wahabi sect of Islam developed in Arabia two centuries ago, and is supported by the monarchy in Saudi Arabia. Wahabi money, and volunteers, went to Bosnia in the 1990s, to assist the Bosnians in the Yugoslav civil war. Five of the 19 suicide terrorists in the September 11, 2001 attacks, had served as Whahbi sponsored fighters in Bosnia. While the Saudis spent a lot of money building mosques and supporting Wahabi missionaries, only about three percent of the Bosnian population adopted this more conservative form of Islam. In the last year, the Bosnian media has become increasingly hostile to the intolerant and "holier-than-thou" attitudes of the Bosnian Wahabis, and has criticized the Wahabis for being backward and against the interests of Bosnia. Because of the Wahabi military support in the 1990s, the Bosnian government has been reluctant to crack down on Wahabi religious and military training efforts. But the Bosnians will not tolerate Wahabis planning and training of terror attacks elsewhere in Europe. The Wahabis, being on a mission from God, don't recognize any such favors from the Bosnian government, and refuse to crack down on the terrorists in their midst. Relations between the Wahabis and the government have become more tense, and American and European counter-terrorism organizations have pressured the Bosnians to keep a closer eye on their Wahabis. Most Bosnians are not only opposed to Wahabi terrorism, and terrorist training, but willing to do something about it. The camp recently raided had contained men who had earlier fought with locals over the camp activities. This violence has not involved guns, but had attracted the attention of the police. Police determined that about 30 trainees had been using the terror camp. Three men were arrested when the camp was raided, and another escaped into the nearby forests. Documents in the camp indicated that attacks in other European countries were being planned. Now the Bosnian country will be under even more pressure to identify the Wahabis who are engaged in terrorist activity, and arrest them, rather than just deport them. Foreign counter-terrorism officials have been particularly unhappy with this expulsion policy, as some of these Bosnian terror suspects later show up, often dead, in places like Iraq and Afghanistan. Many others are apparently still alive, and still keen on bringing more terrorist violence to Europe.

German Judge cites Qur'an in divorce case -- to justify wife-beating

A new low in European dhimmitude, although I am one hundred percent certain that this judge's action will in the coming years be widely imitated. "A German Judge Cites Koran in Divorce Case," by Veit Medick and Anna Reimann in Spiegel Online, with thanks to a tea-loving snail:
He beat her and threatened her with murder. But because husband and wife were both from Morocco, a German divorce court judge saw no cause for alarm. It's a religion thing, she argued.
The Koran seems to have become the basis for a court decision in Frankfurt.
The case seems simply too strange to be true. A 26-year-old mother of two wanted to free herself from what had become a miserable and abusive marriage. The police had even been called to their apartment to separate the two -- both of Moroccan origin -- after her husband got violent in May 2006. The husband was forced to move out, but the terror continued: Even after they separated, the spurned husband threatened to kill his wife.
A quick divorce seemed to be the only solution -- the 26-year-old was unwilling to wait the year between separation and divorce mandated by German law. She hoped that as soon as they were no longer married, her husband would leave her alone. Her lawyer, Barbara Becker-Rojczyk agreed and she filed for immediate divorce with a Frankfurt court last October. They both felt that the domestic violence and death threats easily fulfilled the "hardship" criteria necessary for such an accelerated split.
In January, though, a letter arrived from the judge adjudicating the case. The judge rejected the application for a speedy divorce by referring to a passage in the Koran that some have controversially interpreted to mean that a husband can beat his wife. It's a supposed right which is the subject of intense debate among Muslim scholars and clerics alike."The exercise of the right to castigate does not fulfill the hardship criteria as defined by Paragraph 1565 (of German federal law)," the daily Frankfurter Rundschau quoted the judge's letter as saying. It must be taken into account, the judge argued, that both man and wife have Moroccan backgrounds.
"The husband can beat his wife"
"The right to castigate means for me: the husband can beat his wife," Becker-Rojczyk said, interpreting the judge's verdict.
The article goes on to note that there are people in Germany who are angry about this, and so it may not stand. But it will, eventually, unless there is a drastic change in Europe.

Serbs will die if no independence for Kosovo, Official

Kosovo Albanian Agim Ceku, left, with Frank Wisner. Ceku took part in ethnic cleansing of Serbs in Croatia in 1995 and has brought that experience to Kosovo as the Albanian Prime Minister.

US Envoy for Kosovo, Frank Wisner, said that independence for the Serbian province is advisable because if not obtained Serbs will die.
"Kosovo would burn and the victims will be the Serbs," said Wisner in his address to the Belgian Senate.
Wisner said that the UN Special Envoy Martti Ahtisaari has explored "all roads" for finding a solution for the status of Kosovo and that this issue should be referred promptly to the UN Security Council for resolving.
"[U]nfortunately, the events from the 1990s have been so shocking that it is impossible to imagine the Albanians returning under Serb rule," said Wisner.
Serbia has expressed no interest in ruling Kosovo Albanians and has offered them wide autonomy that is short of independence because it seeks to have the the basic international norms, sovereignty and territorial integrity, observed.
Ahtisaari's plan, however, paves the way for a "supervised independence" which violates these internationally recognized norms.
Russian ambassador to Belgium, Vadim Lukov, said that, according to the Helsinki Final Act from 1975, state borders cannot be changed without involved sides giving explicit consent and commented.
"We do not wish to be bigger Serbs than the Serbs themselves, but we believe that not all the options have been explored and that diplomacy should be given a chance," said Lukov.
Since 1999, Kosovo Serbs have been besieged by Muslim Albanians and in 2004 Muslims have initiated a wide-spread pogrom of Christian Serbs across the province killing, looting and burning down churches across.
Head of the Serbian Government Economic Team for Kosovo and southern Serbia Nenad Popovic said that neither the masterminds nor the direct perpetrators of the 2004 pogrom have been brought to justice yet in Kosovo and cites that organized paramilitary groups in black uniforms have already begun to appear as an initial terror campaign against the Kosovo Serbs that have not been expelled out of the province yet.
US official said that the conclusion to the status talks should be expected "at the end of April or the beginning of May, since time is not on our side."

Al-Qaeda Getting Ready for Jihad in Serbia

Albanian al Qaeda Bow-Tie Thug Holbrooke Struts Around Again
Those who are following the tense situation in the Balkans — made powder-keg explosive ever since the U.S.-led NATO drove a knife into the back of the Peninsula, paving the way for al-Qaeda jihadists to penetrate deep into Europe through Bosnia-Herzegovina and Serbian Kosovo province — must have noticed that one of the chief Western bullies with the vision of plunging the region under the new Ottoman rule, Richard Holbrooke, has recently started rearing his ugly head again.
He reached once more for his abundant prophetic powers, foretelling doom, gloom and, of course, Major Bloodletting, in case Russia dares obstruct unleashing Holbrooke’s monstrous baby, ethnically pure Albanian Muslim Kosovo, into the world as an independent state. “If Russia blocks the Ahtisaari plan, the chaos that follows will be Moscow’s responsibility (...) Bloodshed would return to the Balkans,” booms war criminal Ceku’s Rent-a-Prophet from the pages of the New World Order Bible Appendix B, Washington Post. Blood of the Innocent Will be On Moscow’s Hands, he thundered again in a Monday interview to Serbian daily Evening News (Vecernje Novosti).

US should support Serbia, not Kosovo Albanian radicals, expert

US needs to stand on the side of democracy and stop supporting radical and quasi criminal elements with separatist tendencies in Kosovo, says Ariel Cohen, Ph.D., Senior Research Fellow in Russian and Eurasian Studies and International Energy Security at the Sarah and Douglas Allison Center of the Davis Institute for International Studies at the Heritage Foundation.
"We live in a global and a tight communications world with 24 hours of available information on the Internet. Implications of Kosovo's independence can be dangerous if not catastrophic across the world," says Cohen.
Ariel Cohen has often been critical of Russia's President Putin's policies but in case of Kosovo, says Cohen, Russia is on the side of international law and that warrants us to listen.
"It is interesting that Holbrooke blames Russia," for any violence Kosovo Albanians are threatening to initiate if their independence drive is thwarted but "while I do not support President Putin and frequently in my texts I have been critical of Russia, I must say that when Russia stands on the side of the international law and warns that support for separatism in Kosovo would have ramifications not only in Europe but across the world, I think we need to pay attention."
In a recent Washington Post opinion piece, former US Ambassador Richard Holbrooke claimed that the forthcoming Kosovo Albanian violence if the world community does not grant them independence should be blamed on Russia because the Muslim Kosovo Albanian leadership believes that Russia should be blamed for their inability to become independent.
In 2004, Holbrooke hosted a Kosovo Albanian fundraiser which raised over half a million dollars for John Kerry's Presidential campaign and Holbrooke promised there that, if elected, Kerry will pronounce Kosovo independent. That fundraiser was attended by a well-known Kosovo Albanian weapons smuggler.
"We have to be very careful as to the degree and locations of our support for independence movements that can destroy not only sovereign states but also democracy," replies Cohen.
"I think that US should be on the side of democracy and not radical and quasi criminal elements that have predetermined political objectives," advises Cohen.
Kosovo province has been administered by the UN since 1999 and since then Muslim Albanians have expelled over 200,000 Christian Serbs, destroyed over 150 Churches, instigated a widespread pogrom and are now threatening wholesale violence in the province if UN fails to give them independence.
There are over 16,000 NATO troops in the province whose mandate is to, ostensibly, keep peace.
UNs decision on the status of Kosovo province is expected this year.

Kosovo: Russian Foreign Minister: Give Us a Real Negotiator and Let’s Have Real Talks For a Change

Adolfsen: Any similarity with real negotiator is purely coincidental.

MOSCOW, Russian Federation (Source: Tanjug) — Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Saturday proposed that negotiations on the future status of Serbian Kosovo-Metohija province continue under a new UN mediator, the Reuters news agency reported.
Lavrov said that “at this stage, taking into account how these positions have been formulated, it is necessary to continue the negotiations.”
“If Martti Ahtisaari thinks he has done all he can, then almost certainly one can find another person who will do it,” Lavrov told a conference.
Serbia Strongly Supports Russian Initiative, Ahtisaari’s Decision to Terminate Negotiations Wrong
The Serbian government strongly supports Russia’s initiative for continuing the negotiating process aimed at determining the organization of the province of Kosovo-Metohija, Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica said on Saturday.
Speaking for Tanjug, Kostunica said that the “decision of Martti Ahtisaari to end negotiations and send his proposal to the United Nations although there is not a single condition for its review by the Security Council was completely wrong.”
“The Serbian government therefore strongly supports Russia’s initiative to start new negotiations with a new UN mediator on the basis of Resolution 1244,” Kostunica said.
He added that “Serbia will constructively participate in the new negotiating process and take its share of responsibility for finding a compromise and fair solution.”
New and Real Negotiations the Only Way Out
Coordinator of the Serbian team to negotiations on the future status of Kosovo-Metohija province Leon Kojen told Tanjug on Saturday that the “idea voiced on behalf of the Russian Federation by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, offers an acceptable and extremely constructive way out of the present situation.”
“Negotiations would continue with a new mediator who would certainly draw some lessons from Ahtisaari’s failure and give a much needed impetus to the negotiations through new views and ideas,” Kojen said.
In any case, it is important for Serbia that the negotiations continue, remain under UN auspices and to have the possibility for a political compromise examined more seriously than before, he said.
Kojen voiced his belief that this was the only way to avoid a further destabilization of the situation in the region because of southern Serbian province of Kosovo-Metohija.
He said that both the Serbian President and Premier clearly stressed two things in Vienna on March 10 — that Ahtisaari’s proposal is not acceptable for Serbia and that negotiating possibilities were not exhausted.
Ahtisaari Wasted 14 Months Without Trying to Help Reach Compromise
Slobodan Samardzic, also a Coordinator of the Serbian team to negotiations on the future status of Kosovo-Metohija province, said on Saturday that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov’s statement on the need to continue with negotiations on the future status of southern Serbian province under a new mediator was a “voice of sensibility in a rather complicated situation with Kosovo-Metohija province.”
He told Tanjug that this was a “completely correct stand, in view of the fact that Martti Ahtisaari spent 14 months without trying to help reach compromise.”
“For that reason, because it has not satisfied the basic negotiating conditions, Ahtisaari’s document does not satisfy the main preconditions for coming before the Security Council and I think this is clear to everybody,” Samardzic said.

International Court of Justice: Serbia Cleared of Genocide Charges (II)

Photo:ICJ
What was hailed as “a historical proceeding” where Serbian state was expected to be accused of committing a “genocide” by the U.N. International Court of Justice located also in the Hague, Netherlands, like the NATO Kangaroo Court for former Yugoslavia, has ended today in a ruling that cleared Serbia of Bosnian Muslim charges of genocide.
Indicative of the Western mainstream media’s assurance of a verdict that will finally nail Serbia to the eternal pillar of shame was the flurry of articles and “reports” by the likes of AP, BBC and Reuters’ Serbophobes who could barely contain their delight in announcing the proceeding as “one of the most momentous cases” which could leave “a permanent stain on Serbia in the eyes of history” and, indeed, hoping it would do so, since Bosnian Muslim lawsuit against Serbian state “is not a criminal case, and the standards of proof are looser than ‘beyond a reasonable doubt’ required for a criminal conviction. To hold Serbia liable, it is enough that a majority of judges finds a ‘balance of probabilities’,” as one of the Reuters’ scribes drooled hours before the ruling was issued. (Right after the verdict clearing Serbia of all charges was read, the same British agency went into an apparent toxic shock, spewing a spiteful piece titled “We Know What Happened, Serbians!” — so much for the “sober”, “unbiased”, “unprejudiced” reporting.)
The atmosphere filled with precipitous and palpable gloating by the calcified Serb-bashing choir, as well as the fact that standards the ICJ applies to reach a verdict are significantly “looser,” which would make it far easier to rule against Serbia on all counts of the Bosnian Muslim charge, makes the exonerating ruling overall immeasurably more valuable.

University of Leeds cancels talk on Nazi and Muslim anti-semitism due to "security problems"

"Freedom of speech row as talk on Islamic extremists is banned," by John Steele for the Telegraph:
A leading university has been accused of "selling out" academic freedom of speech by scrapping a talk on links between the Nazis and Islamic anti-semitism after allegedly receiving emails from Muslims protesting about the event.
Matthias Küntzel, a German author and political scientist who specialises in the threat of Islamic fundamentalism, was told yesterday by the University of Leeds that a talk scheduled for yesterday evening, and a two-day workshop, on Hitler's Legacy: Islamic Anti-semitism in the Middle East, had been cancelled because of security fears.
In a statement yesterday, two academics in the Leeds German department, which had organised the event, claimed the university had bowed "to Muslim protests". Dr Küntzel said he had given similar addresses around the world and there had been no problems.
He added: "I was told it was for security reasons - that they cannot shelter my person. But I don't feel in any way threatened.
''I know this is sometimes a controversial topic but I am accustomed to that and I have the ability to calm people down. It's not a problem for me at all.
"My impression was that they wanted to avoid the issue in order to keep the situation calm. My feeling is that this is a kind of censorship.''
He has given the talk at Yale and in universities in Jerusalem and Vienna.
Dr Küntzel said the contents of emails described to him did not overtly threaten violence but "they were very, very strongly worded''.
He added: ''It's stupid, because I also talk about Christian anti-semitism.'' The university last night emphatically denied censorship, saying the organisers had not given it enough notice to arrange for stewards to be on duty at what was bound to be a potentially controversial event.
The university said it only found out about the event on Tuesday, though the organisers claim posters went up weeks ago. Dr Annette Seidel Arpaci and Morten Hunke, both members of the German department, said in a statement yesterday: "Dr Küntzel's talk is part of a series of scholars' and artists' talks at the German department.
''The series is supported by a grant from the School of Modern Languages, who did not raise any issues during the grant application process."
The statement added: "The reason the university gives for the cancellation of the talk and seminars by Dr Küntzel are security concerns.
''These concerns are founded on emails received by the office of the Vice Chancellor. The sudden cancellation is a sell-out of academic freedom, especially freedom of speech, at the University of Leeds."
One of the protest emails, from a student who describes himself as ''of both Middle Eastern and Islamic background", complained that the title of the event was "profoundly offensive''. It added: ''To insinuate that there is a direct link between Islam and anti-semitism is not only a sweeping generalisation but also an erroneous statement that holds no essence of truth."
Someone is lying, or needs to read his Qur'an.
However, last night the university denied the claims. It said: "The decision to cancel the meeting has nothing to do with academic freedom, freedom of speech, anti-semitism or Islamophobia and those claiming that is the case are making mischief.
''Nor are we bowing to threats or protests from interest groups. The meeting has been cancelled on safety grounds alone and because - contrary to our rules - no assessment of risk to people or property has been carried out, no stewarding arrangements are in place and we were not given sufficient notice to ensure safety and public order.''

University of Leeds bows to Muslim protests and at the last minute cancels talk by Dr Matthias Kuentzel...

...on ‘Hitler’s Legacy: Islamic Antisemitism in the Middle East’
This morning, the University of Leeds cancelled a talk, scheduled later for today, and a 2-day workshop series on the topic ‘Hitler’s Legacy: Islamic Antisemitism in the Middle East’ by the German scholar Dr Matthias Kuentzel. The series of events has been well publicised for several weeks. Last November, Dr Kuentzel gave a talk with the same title at Yale University as part of a series entitled ‘Antisemitism in Comparative Perspective’, which also featured talks by other internationally scholars such as Bassam Tibi, Wolfgang Benz, Jan Gross, Milton Shain, Ruth Wisse amongst others. He is a research assistant of one the worlds leading institute in the research of antisemitism, the Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism (SICSA) at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a member of the board of directors of Scholars for Peace in the Middle East, an organisation with about 8000 supporters throughout the world.Dr Kuentzel’s talk is part of a series of scholars’ and artists’ talks at the German Department. The series is supported by a grant form the School of Modern Languages, who did not raise any issues during the grant application process. The reason the University gives for the cancellation of the talk and seminars by Dr Kuentzel are security concerns. These concerns are founded on emails received by the Office of the Vice Chancellor. The sudden cancellation is a sell-out of academic freedom, especially freedom of speech, at the University of Leeds.

The Küntzel Case

Sarajevo Islamic Regime’s Srebrenica Manipulations

Attempted Coup to Dismember Republika Srpska Failed
According to the SINA news agency, judging by the long faces of Bosnian Muslim leaders Haris Silajdzic, Sulejman Tihic, Abdurahman Malkic and others after their meeting with the EU’s High Representative Christian Schwarz-Schilling, Srebrenica municipality will not be snatched away from Republika Srpska.
Bosnia’s High Representative said that there will be no imposed solutions and that possible changes to the status would have to be based on mutual consent. Statements by the Republika Srpska leaders strongly underline that the suggestion of carving Srebrenica out of Republika Srpska is unacceptable.
At the same time, majority of Srebrenica municipality population is against the proposed collective move-out of Bosnian Muslims from Srebrenica, called for March 14. Another proof that Bosnian Muslims are opposed to Sarajevo Islamic regime’s directive is the fact that during the meeting in Srebrenica’s Municipality journalists outnumbered Bosnian Muslims supporting Sarajevo initiative.

Prague jails Kosovo Albanians for drug smuggling

Prague (CTK) - The Prague High Court endorsed, in the appeals proceedings, prison sentences to three Kosovo Albanians and one Czech for smuggling 5 kilos of heroin to the Czech Republic in March and April 2003 that were given to them by the Plzen Regional Court last October.
Two Kosovo Albanians will spend ten years in prison each and the third one will spend 12 years behind bars. Czech Petr Poupal, 27, was sentenced to three years in prison.
The criminal activities of the group were disclosed with the help of police wiretapping.
"The involvement of all four men in drug-smuggling has been proved unambiguously," the chairman of the court panel said.
Brahim Qorri received 12 years in prison, and Zumer Isljanim and Kadrim Kadrjim 10 years each.
Czech customs officers seized the drug in Breclav, south Moravia. The Albanians tried to smuggle heroin from Pristina, Kosovo, to the Czech Republic and then to sell it in Germany. They used the services of Czech courier Poupal for the transfer of the drug from Pristina to the Czech Republic.
The court also ruled that Qorri, the main organiser of the criminal activities and the only one of the suspects turn up at the court today, will be deported from the Czech Republic.

Bosnian Muslim arrested in al-Qaeda terror camp training

Pakistani intelligence officers have arrested a Bosnian Muslim in the town of Ravalpindi where he was undergoing an al-Qaeda terror training, German weekly magazine Spiegel says.
Shielding his last name, Spiegel says that Nihad C. is a Bosnian Muslim who lived in Pforzheim, south-west Germany, where he was close Micheal N, a German convert to Islam also arrested in Pakistan for attending Islamic terror training camps.
Bosnian Foreign Ministry claims that it has no information about the arrest.
"We have no final information about this arrest. It is possible that Bosnian diplomatic and consular offices in Berlin or Islamabad received information over the weekend, but we cannot verify that now," said Nebojsa Regoje, a spokesman for the Bosnian Muslim Foreign Ministry.
During the 1990s, Bosnian Muslim welcomed a large number of foreign Jihad fighters and many of them were given citizenship or had local Bosnian Muslims marry off their daughters to these fighters. Media and many diplomats are critical of Bosnian Serbs who were battling the Bosnian Muslim mujahedeen.
Last year, Australian authorities arrested another Bosnian Muslim with plans to detonate a nuclear explosion in the Sydney nuclear plant.
Nihad and Mihael, met in a mosque in Pakistan and decided to get some terrorist training in a near-by al-Qaeda training camp.
According to Spiegel, Bosnian Muslim Nihad had connections with al-Qaeda cells in Bosnia.

ISLAMIC JIHADISTS WARN AUSTRIA, GERMANY: BREAK WITH U.S. OR SOMETHING MAY HAPPEN

By Robert Spencer
Rudolf Gollia is right: these are abstract, weaselly threats. Austria "may be among targeted nations" if it doesn't withdraw from Afghanistan? "Germany will face more threats"? Oh, no! Anything but more threats!
If only all the jihadists were of this milquetoast variety.
"Islamic militants warn Austria, Germany," by Salah Nasrawi for
Associated Press, with thanks to the Constantinopolitan Irredentist:
CAIRO, Egypt - Islamic militants threatened to attack Germany and Austria unless the two European nations break ranks with the U.S. and withdraw their personnel from Afghanistan, according to a Web statement.
"Germany will face more threats and dangers if it doesn't withdraw its troops from Afghanistan," an unidentified speaker said in a video statement posted Saturday on an Islamic Web site used by al-Qaida-linked militants.
The authenticity of the video could not be verified, but it was released by the Voice of the Caliphate, which is said to be run byOsama bin Laden's al-Qaida group.
The unidentified speaker, whose face was blurred, said about 2,700 German soldiers in Afghanistan will "not be safe from attacks" by the Taliban and al-Qaida fighters in the war-torn nation. He also threatened that the militants will carry out attacks in Austria and against Austrian personnel in Afghanistan.
"Austria has always been one of the most safe countries in Europe, depending on tourism both in summer and winter," the unidentified speaker said. "But if it doesn't withdraw its troops from Afghanistan, it may be among targeted nations."
Austrian Interior Ministry spokesman Rudolf Gollia was quoted by the Austria Press Agency as saying that the threats were very "abstract." Government representatives were meeting Sunday morning to discuss the situation.

GERMAN SHARI'A WATCH

By Charles Johnson
The cultural jihad proceeds in Germany; banks are abandoning the European tradition of giving “piggy banks” to children, and in a disturbing echo of events here in the US, Muslim cabdrivers are refusing service to passengers based on shari’a law:
Islam is Taking a Grip on Europe.
WETZLAR — Islam is slowly but surely taking a grip on the European culture, warns the German journalist and university lecturer Udo Ulfkotte. Traditional values, customs and judicial standards are gradually customized to meet Muslim requirements.
As Ulfkotte explained at a meeting of Christian Democrats in Wetzlar, March 8, more and more institutions are making allowances for Muslims. Many banks, he said, are abandoning the so-called piggy banks, because they are afraid of losing Muslim customers. Muslims regard the pig as an unclean animal.
German butchers who sell pork are targeted by Muslim extremists, according to Ulfkotte. Muslims occasionally spit on sausages on sale at open-air markets.
In some European cities Muslim taxi drivers refuse to transport dogs, even blind persons with guide dogs. [Sound familiar? —ed.] Two schools in Berlin have installed two separate entrances – one for German Christians and Jews and the other for Muslim Arabs and Turks.
The Muslim Sharia law is also beginning to take hold. Banks are offering Sharia-friendly investments, Ulfkotte said. Authorities in Berlin have recognized a Sharia lawyer, who settles family feuds.
And right behind the cultural jihadis: Islamic militants warn Austria, Germany.
CAIRO, Egypt - Islamic militants threatened to attack Germany and Austria unless the two European nations break ranks with the U.S. and withdraw their personnel from Afghanistan, according to a Web statement.
“Germany will face more threats and dangers if it doesn’t withdraw its troops from Afghanistan,” an unidentified speaker said in a video statement posted Saturday on an Islamic Web site used by al-Qaida-linked militants.

Turk guilty over genocide remarks

"Dogu Perincek's case has strained Swiss-Turkish relations." Laws like this are silly, but denial of the Armenian genocide is a Turkish pathology that needs to be confronted. From the BBC, with thanks to all who sent this in:
A Swiss court has convicted a Turkish politician of racial discrimination for denying that mass killings of Armenians in Turkey in 1915 amounted to genocide.
Nationalist leader Dogu Perincek, 65, was on trial for remarks he made in a public speech in Lausanne in 2005.
He was given a suspended sentence and fined $2,450 (£1,270).
The Swiss parliament, along with more than a dozen countries, has labelled the killings as genocide. Turkey firmly rejects the genocide allegation.
Perincek, the head of the Turkish Workers' Party, had denied the charges.
"I have not denied genocide because there was no genocide," he told the court earlier this week.

Swedish Experts: Ahtisaari’s Proposal Made-to-Order, Unjust, Intellectually Indefensible and Unsustainable

STOCKHOLM, Sweden (Source: Tanjug) — Three leading world experts in the sphere of peace studies — Johan Galtung, Jan Oberg and Hokan Viberg, told Thursday’s issue of Sweden’s daily with the highest circulation, Aftonbladet, that the proposal of UN special envoy Martti Ahtisaari was “made to order, unjust, intellectually indefensible and unsustainable.”
As an instrument of short term power interests, Ahtisaari’s plan would create instability and cause greater violence, the Swedish analysts said.
The experts said that Ahtisaari’s plan was “made to order” and that it does not contain any trace of professional mediation or resolution of the conflict.
Before Serbia and the Serbs are criticized for protesting against Ahtisaari’s plan, one would do well to find at least one sovereign state on the planet whose leaders would not do the same in protest against such arrogance, Galtung, Oberg and Viberg set out.
Swedish analysts also criticized the world media for frequently forgetting to say that current Kosovo-Metohija province’s self-styled “Premier” Agim Ceku took part, as a Croatian Army general, in the massacre of Serbs in the Medak Pocket, in Croatian Krajina.
At the same time, the team of Swedish experts stated, the fact that the ethnic Albanians drove away over 200,000 Serbs out of Serbian Kosovo province is being overlooked, as is another fact — that the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army is behind the unrest in southern Serbia and Macedonia.

Proud Kosovo Albanian Hitler

Article by Julia Gorin

Hitler in Kosovo
First, India brought you the Hitler cafe, then Croatia brought you Hitler sugar. Now, America’s Kosovo brings you Adolf Hitler himself. The text below is from a recently discovered travelblog [link available on Julia’s blog] of an adventurous young British tourist and Balkan enthusiast named Ed Alexander. He may be on the clueless side, but don’t miss a single observation he cluelessly makes, all the while defaulting to the Albanian-slash-terrorist-slash-State Department misspelling of Kosovo (“Kosova”). This takes place in southern Mitrovica, a town divided by a river into a multi-ethnic North, and a violently “purified” Albanian South:
We crossed over into the Albanian part of town and decided to try to fulfill a plan we’d been talking about for the last couple of days. When I was in Belgrade earlier in my trip, my kind host Sasa had recounted a story about a man who owns a restaurant, used to be in the Kosova Liberation Army and believes he is Adolf Hitler incarnate…

German Bishops: Israel = Nazis

The Europeans’ love affair with the Palestinians’ death cult society surfaces again, in an amazingly duplicitous visit to Israel by the German Bishops’ Conference: Bishops equate Israel’s actions to Holocaust. (Hat tip: Moi Aussi.)
BERLIN - “This morning we saw pictures of the Warsaw ghetto at Yad Vashem and this evening we are going to the Ramallah ghetto.” Several hours earlier on Sunday you probably would not have heard German Bishop Gregor Maria Franz Hanke choose such a divisive analogy. But then on Sunday morning he was still in Israel and the rhetoric was considerably different than the one elected by the German Bishops’ Conference once they crossed over in to the Palestinian Authority on Sunday evening.
During their time in Israel the bishops uniformly made moderate and balanced statements, but once in the PA they provided German reporters accompanying them with a plethora of harsh proclamations against Israel. Their criticism received widespread coverage in the German media on Monday.
While crossing one of the checkpoints into East Jerusalem the Archbishop of Cologne, Cardinal Joachim Meisner, told reporters: “This is something that is done to animals, not people.” Meisner, a resident of eastern Germany, said that the fence reminded him of the Berlin Wall and that in his lifetime he did not believe he would see such a thing again. “As the Berlin Wall was brought down so will this wall be brought down,” he said, adding that the fence served no purpose.

Israelis choose song mocking global jihad for European song contest; Eurodhimmis mulling ban

A predictable response from Eurabia. "Israelis Choose Song Mocking Global Jihad For Eurovision," by Ezra HaLevi in Israel National News, with thanks to James:
(IsraelNN.com) Israelis have chosen a song ridiculing Islamic terrorists as their representative entry for the Eurovision song contest - and the Eurovision organizers say they may ban the song and its "inappropriate political message."
The song, called “Push the Button,” was composed by the popular Israeli rock group Teapacks (Tipex), whose members say that they are proud of using the international platform to convey an important message to the world on behalf of the Jewish state. In English, Hebrew and French, the artists humorously dismiss the global Jihad and murderous Iranian nuclear intentions in a fusion of rap, rock and folk music.
“There are some crazy rulers,” an English line in the song sung with a thick Israeli accent says, “they hide and try to fool us, with demonic, technological willingness to harm.”
Teapacks members and their families experience the brunt of Islamic terrorism first-hand. The band was formed in 1988 in the Kassam rocket-pocked city of Sderot.
Lead singer Kobi Oz said that his group knew that the trilingual song crosses accepted norms, but is heartened by the fact that it was chosen by a majority of Israelis in the recent televised voting.
Click here to listen to the song....
Eurovision’s organizers have already begun to consider banning Teapacks from the competition. "It's absolutely clear that this kind of message is not appropriate for the competition," contest organizer Kjell Ekholm said. "We'll have all the delegation leaders here in Helsinki next week, and I'm sure we'll talk about this case within the EBU [European Broadcasting Union] group."

Was there “Genocide” at Srebrenica?

Excerpts from Defense & Foreign Affairs Special Analysis
Unlike US-supported attacks by Croatian troops on Serb-inhabited UN Protected Zones (Western Slavonia and the Krajina), the Bosnian Serb Army’s capture of Srebrenica was a predictable response to military provocations. Unlike the Croatian operations Flash and Storm, the Bosnian Serbs helped arrange a massive safe passage operation to Tuzla for thousands of Srebrenica residents who chose to leave from nearby Potocari where the buses were deployed.
By the first week of August 1995, 35,632 people had registered with the World Health Organization and Bosnian Government as displaced persons, survivors of Srebrenica. If the goal of the Serbs had been genocide, or even an act of genocide, there would have been no safe passage for the civilian population. According to Carlos Martins Branco, “if there had been a premeditated plan of genocide, instead of attacking in only one direction, from the south to the north — which left the possibility of escape to the north, the Serbs would have established a siege in order to ensure that no-one escaped.”
The premise that Serbian forces executed 7,000 to 8,000 people “was never a possibility,” according to former BBC journalist Jonathan Rooper, who has investigated the events that followed the capture of Srebrenica on site and through official records over many years, and whose findings are presented in the upcoming report of the Srebrenica Research Group. He points out that numerous contemporary accounts noted that UN and other independent observers had witnessed fierce battles as the Muslim 28th Division and military age men accompanied them.

Ex-Muslim Spokeswoman: "Islam is Inherently Radical"

Picture: Ex-Muslim Poster
Sugiero has lots of interesting detail on the German organization for ex-Muslims, whose leader recently asked for police protection after receiving death threats from representatives of the Religion of Women’s Rights™: Ex-Muslim Says ‘Islam Inherently Radical’.
Arzu Toker, deputy chairwoman, used a news conference to announce her separation from Islam: ‘I herewith resign from Islam. That’s it.’
Toker, a journalist who was born in 1952 in Turkey’s eastern Anatolia region, is radical in her criticism of Islam. She does not accept its Sharia system of rules at all, saying they contradict both human rights and the values of the German constitution.
She added that Islam was anti-woman.
‘It humiliates women and turns them into servants of the men,’ she said, adding the Islam was anti-man as well.
‘It reduces men to breeding animals controlled by their urges,’ said Toker. She quoted the 19th century German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche: ‘He said, God is dead. One can live fine by taking one’s own responsibility.’
She said she did not distinguish between Islam and fundamentalism. ‘Islam is inherently radical,’ she said.
Ahadi described her life to reporters and said, ‘Political Islam has afflicted my life.’ Born in Iran in 1956, her support for human rights had rapidly put her in opposition to the Islamic Revolution. She refused to wear a headscarf and was expelled from university.
Later her husband was executed. She had lived in Germany since 1996.
‘I know all about political Islam,’ she said. ‘It ends up with us being stoned to death, even here in Germany.’

WIESENTHAL CENTER CALLS FOR RESIGNATION OF TYROL GOVERNOR, INNSBRUCK MAYOR...

...AND SPOE PARTY LEADERS IN WAKE OF HONORS THEY BESTOWED ON FORMER GESTAPO OPERATIVE AND INNSBRUCK DEPUTY MAYOR FERDINAND OBENFELDNER
Jerusalem- The Simon Wiesenthal Center today issued a public call for the immediate resignation of Tyrol Governor Herwig von Staa and other local political leaders in the wake of an event they recently organized to honor former Gestapo operative and Innsbruck deputy mayor Ferdinand Obenfeldner. Among the politicians who gathered in Innsbruck several weeks ago to honour the former SS-man on the occasion of his 90th birthday were Innsbruck mayor Hilde Zoch, the head of the Tyrolean SPÖ, Hannes Gschwentner, the chief of the SPÖ in Innsbruck, Ernst Pechlaner and local SPÖ-politician Marie-Luise Pokorny-Reitter. In a statement issued today in Jerusalem by its chief Nazi-hunter, Israel director Dr. Efraim Zuroff, the Center expressed its anger and frustration that individuals whose deeds during the Nazi period should be publically repudiated, instead are honored by Austrian public figures, who clearly should be acting differently.According to Zuroff:“The fact that a person like Obenfeldner, who helped carry out the Kristallnacht pogrom in Innsbruck, in the course of which innocent Jews were murdered, and who is also suspected of participating in the killing of two Polish forced laborers was able to serve for more than 20 years as deputy mayor of Innsbruck and is still presented as a role model by local public figures clearly shows that Austria today remains a virtual paradise for Nazi war criminals. Such behavior makes it more than obvious why not a single Holocaust perpetrator has been successfully prosecuted in Austria in more than three decades and why the country is protecting escaped Croatian Nazi war criminal Milivoj Ašner (currently residing in Klagenfurt), whose extradition to stand trial for his wartime crimes in Požega has been requested more than a year ago by the Croatian judicial authorities.” “The time has come for Austria not only to acknowledge the truth of extensive complicity in Nazi crimes by Austrians, but also to accept and implement the obvious practical implications,” said Zuroff.
