Vienna: OMV – Murder & More?
No deals with the Iranian regime! Protest at the annual shareholders meeting of OMVWednesday, May 13th 2009, 12.30
Austria Center, Bruno-Kreisky-Platz 1, 1220 Vienna
(U1 Kaisermühlen-VIC)
Despite massive international criticism the Austrian oil and gas company OMV plans to extend its business with the Iranian regime. Although the Austrian government has since relativized its initially unconditional support for the billion Euro deal with Iran, partially state-owned OMV seems to stick to its plans. In addition the company still tries to advance the Nabucco pipeline project - that according to current planning - would only make sense if gas were delivered from Iran. We call upon protesting against a company like OMV that is courting and financing the Iranian regime and we look forward to your participation in this demonstration.
