Israel refuses to recognize Kosovo

Israel will not recognize Kosovo as an independent state, confirms Israeli Interior Minister Eliyahu Yishai. During the meeting with the Serbian Interior Minister, Ivica Dacic, Yishai reiterated Israel’s position that there will be no recognition of the unilateral declaration ethnic Albanian separatists made last year in Serbia’s Kosovo province. Israeli officials have confirmed that Israel will remain firm in its stand.
