Albanian duo responsible for 126 crimes in Austria

Two Albanian men arrested early last September in Salzburg were responsible for 126 break-ins in Austria, including 88 in Lower Austria, police said today (Tues).The men, aged 38 and 36, broke into apartments and inns in Upper and Lower Austria, Styria and Burgenland, causing damage amounting to 176,000 Euros.Police said the search for the suspects was intensified after a series of break-ins in Lower Austria last August that often featured the theft of cars and their use in additional break-ins.The two suspects are in detention in Burgenland capital Eisenstadt. Police believe they may also be responsible for crimes in Germany, France and Switzerland.
