Obama appointed Muslim visits “future British leaders” in Trojan Horse school

WTF? What business does the Obama regime have to send a ‘Muslim representative” to a British school that has been infiltrated by MuBro operatives? People, is anyone awake?
“It’s great to meet the future British leaders that will work with our American leaders.”–Shaarik Zafar, US Secretary of State John Kerry’s special representative to Muslim Communities,
Trojan Horse school in visit by top US diplomat to improve Muslim relations
Shaarik Zafar, US Secretary of State John Kerry’s special representative to Muslim Communities, met with pupils and staff at Park View – one of the five schools plunged in special measures by education watchdog Ofsted in April last year.

Poll Shows More than Half of Western European Muslims Harbor Antisemitic Beliefs

Though antisemitic attitudes in France, Germany and Belgium have dipped dramatically so far this year, more than half of all Muslims in Western Europe harbor antisemitic beliefs, a survey released by the Anti-Defamation League revealed on Tuesday.
“An average of 55 percent of Western European Muslims harbored antisemitic attitudes. Acceptance of antisemitic stereotypes by Muslims in these countries was substantially higher than among the national population in each country,” said the ADL report.
The survey, which ADL said was the first to document antisemitic attitudes among Western European Muslims, revealed Belgian Muslims to be the most antisemitic, with 68 percent harboring antisemitic beliefs. This is compared to 21 percent overall in the country.
In Germany — where an MP recently came under fire for saying Muslim students should not be made to visit concentration camps like the rest of the country’s students — the number was lower, but still above half, at 56 percent compared to the country’s 16 percent, which was down from 27 percent in 2014.
And in France — where a lone terrorist staged the deadliest attack against Jews this year, at a kosher supermarket — about 49% of Muslims showed antisemitic beliefs, compared to 17 percent of the overall population.
“Most prevalent was the belief that ‘Jews have too much power in international financial markets’ – an anti-Jewish canard affirmed by 70 percent of Western European Muslims,” the ADL said, adding that the European Muslim group showed much less affiliation with ideas critical of Jewish “character,” such as “people hate Jews because of the way they behave” and “Jews think they are better than other people,” than their coreligionists in the Middle East.
While a little more than half of Western European Muslims were found to be antisemitic, this is below the 74 percent of Muslims in the Middle East and North Africa region who showed antisemitic attitudes according to ADL’s 2014 survey.
The poll also measured antisemitic attitudes among Western European Muslims in Spain (62 percent), Italy (56 percent) and the U.K. (54 percent).

London: Ax Attack on Jewish Man's Car Raises Anti-Semitism Fears

A Jewish man's car was attacked outside a synagogue by an ax-wielding man in London, just hours after a Jewish elementary school nearby was vandalized with sickening anti-Semitic graffiti.
The two incidents took place Tuesday in the London neighborhood of Stamford Hill, which is home to a large Orthodox Jewish community.
Graffiti reading "f*** the Jews" was found Tuesday morning scrawled in black marker pen at Simon Marks primary school, according to the Evening Standard.
The offensive message was quickly cleaned off before children began arriving for the start of the school day, but a spokesperson for the Shomrim neighborhood watch patrol said it was "disturbing" nonetheless.
"It's disturbing," Shomrim committee supervisor Chaim Hochhauser told the Standard. "They were nasty words.
"It's being investigated at the moment - we're checking out CCTV but no one has been caught yet."
Hours later, at a synagogue situated just a few minutes away, an unidentified man smashed the windows of a car parked outside the Beth Hamedrash Skver Synagogue.
"He parked up his car and walked into the synagogue and he was there for quite a while," Hochhauser said of the car's owner.
"He was notified by some witnesses that a guy with an axe had smashed up his windows."
The attacker did not try to steal anything from the car, but simply attacked it viciously, leading to suspicions the incident was an anti-Semitic hate crime as well.
"He was walking up and down the road with an axe," Hochhauser said, describing the scene - which was caught on camera by a nearby Shomrim patrol car. He urged residents to "keep an eye open and look out. If you see anything, report it straightaway."
Police are currently studying the footage.
The incidents come as British Jews scored a victory against attempts by neo-Nazis to hold a provocative rally in the heart of London's Jewish community.
Far-right activists were told by police earlier Tuesday that their planned "de-Jewification" rally this Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath, could not take place in Golders Green as previously planned. Instead, it will be relocated to a central London location far from the Jewish community, and would be restricted to one hour only, after which it will be dispersed.
Arutz Sheva has learned that a key factor in that decision was the predicted number of counter-demonstrators - primarily from the local Jewish community but also from other locals and anti-fascist campaigners - which police said would have been impossible to control together with the provocative rally.
Anti-hate groups and Jewish organizations have hailed the developments as a victory.

BBC Peddles Anti-Israel Lies, Helps Whitewash Hamas

 http://49yzp92imhtx8radn224z7y1.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/unnamed2.jpg
By Hadar Sela

The June 17 edition of the BBC World Service radio program ‘Newshour’ – presented by James Coomarasamy – included an item (from 14:00 here) introduced as follows:
Last year’s conflict between Israel and Gaza lasted 51 days and claimed more than two thousand lives. Israel and Hamas continue to argue about who was responsible, over the number of casualties and over each other’s conflict during the war. But the impact on Gaza’s infrastructure was undeniably considerable. Its only power station was hit by an airstrike.
That portrayal is, of course, inaccurate: the fuel tanks at the Gaza power plant (not the structure itself) were hit by errant tank shells (not by “an airstrike”), whilst the IDF tried to prevent an imminent attack by terrorists carrying anti-tank missiles. Additionally, the conflict was not “between Israel and Gaza” but between Israel and terrorist organizations based in the Gaza Strip, and Coomarasamy’s bizarre and unsourced ‘they’re each as bad as the other’ claim that “Israel and Hamas continue to argue” actively hinders audience understanding of the facts behind the conflict.
WERBUNG
All that, however, was merely the entrée to the real purpose of this item: license-fee funded promotion of a new book by the BBC’s long-time favorite medic-cum-terrorist supporter, Mads Gilbert. Coomarasamy continues:
One man who witnessed that war at close hand is a Norwegian doctor, Mads Gilbert. He returned to Gaza to work in al Shifa hospital as he’d done in three previous conflicts there. He documented his experiences – he’s collated them in a new book called ‘Night in Gaza’. So why did he think it was important to do that?
Coomarasamy makes no effort to relieve listeners of the misleading impressions created by Gilbert’s inaccurate claim of a ‘siege’ on the Gaza Strip or to inform them that the descriptions they hear of shortages of medical supplies actually have nothing to do with Israel.
Gilbert: “I had been in Gaza for two weeks in June to make a report for the UN about the situation in the healthcare system and basically the whole civilian sector in Gaza was down on its knees because of the siege and then on top of that came this horrific 51 days. Shifa was totally drained of supplies, drugs, equipment – everything you need to run a hospital.”
One of the issues regularly raised on my blog is the BBC’s frequent breaching of its own editorial guidelines on impartiality due to its failure to inform audiences of the “viewpoint” of interviewees. At one point during the item listeners hear Coomarasamy say to Gilbert:
“You are a medical doctor but you are an activist. You are a pro-Palestinian activist. Would you say that’s fair?”
Gilbert answers:
“Like many others I support the Palestinian people’s right to resist occupation and I think that’s part of my medical duty. Medicine and politics are Siamese twins – you can’t separate the one from the other.”
Unfortunately, rather than clarifying to audiences that the Gaza Strip has not been under occupation for a decade and instead of pursuing the subject of what Gilbert really means when he talks of a “right to resist” (in a recent interview with the Guardian, Gilbert stated that “[t]he right to resist implies also the right to resist with arms, if you’re occupied”), Coomarasamy gets into a futile academic discussion with Gilbert about medicine and politics before providing him with the opportunity to whitewash Hamas abuses.
JC: “What about…I mean have you tried to understand the point of view of Hamas and what they were doing in the hospital? Because if you look at the Amnesty International report from last month they very clearly say ‘Hamas forces used the abandoned areas of Shifa, including the outpatients clinic area, to detain, interrogate torture and otherwise ill-treat suspects even as other parts of the hospital continued to function as a medical centre’. And first of all, do you recognize that portrait?”
MG: “I don’t support Hamas. I don’t support Fatah. I don’t support any Palestinian faction. I support the Palestinian people.”
JC: “But do you recognize the Amnesty International characterization of what was happening in the hospital when you were there?”
MG: “Bear in mind that Amnesty was not allowed to enter Gaza. I am not saying that this is not taking place. I’m saying that where I worked it was a proper hospital. And yes, the Palestinian Authorities had their press conferences outside. I am allowed to work freely. I walk around wherever I want. I’m never controlled. I never have my pictures controlled. So from what I have seen in Shifa hospital and in the other Palestinian hospitals in Gaza, this is not the picture I recognize.”
Coomarasamy ends the interview there and, as has so often been the case in the past, BBC audiences have once again been fed Gilbert’s unhindered falsehoods and propaganda – as well as promotion of his book.
Mads Gilbert is not a “pro-Palestinian” activist as claimed by Coomarasamy in his ostensible impartiality box-tick. Those who are truly pro-Palestinian (and perhaps especially those supposedly bound by a professional oath) would not whitewash Hamas’ torture of its political opponents, its exploitation of patients as human shields or its diversion of resources which could improve the lives of ordinary Palestinians for the purposes of terrorism. Sadly, the BBC continues to avoid telling Mads Gilbert as he really is.

COUNTDOWN TO EUROGEDDON: Greece To Default On €1.6 billion IMF Debt Repayment At Midnight Washington Time

by Sarkis Zeronian

LONDON, United Kingdom, 7.30pm – The stakes are high as at time of writing a last minute deal between Athens and its creditors still appears impossible to reach. In the absence of a deal before midnight Washington time, the country will default on the €1.6 billion debt repayment to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) due tonight risking a domino effect of cross-default clauses and the biggest sovereign bankruptcy in history.
The Greeks have just requested another bailout deal from the eurozone, asking for a new two-year €29.1 billion deal to cover its debt repayments until the end of 2017 from a bailout mechanism for eurozone countries. Eurozone finance ministers will discuss it in a teleconference this evening.
EuroActive.com reports that having already received nearly €240 billion in two bailouts from the EU and IMF since 2010, Athens will lose much needed €16.3 billion funds in the form of three financing sources. Officials said:
“Once it’s gone, it’s gone […] What disappears is 16.3 billion euros. What disappears is the [European Financial Stability Facility] tranche, €1.8 billion, the [Securities Markets Programme] profits, and the remaining amount that had remained from the [Hellenic Financial Stability Fund] buffer, that’s just over €16 billion.”
The European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) is available for reform programme support, covering the government’s fiscal and budget means.  The €10.9 billion remaining in the Hellenic Financial Stability Fund (HFSF) buffer is also derived from the EFSF and will be transferred back to it at midnight.
The European Central Bank’s Securities Markets Programme (SMP) is a complicated system of transferring profits which the ECB has been earning on loans provided to the Greek government. 2014’s SMP funds of €1.85 billion sit in the EFSF ready for disbursement after the sides carry out the review that would then authorise payment. The review has not happened to date and is much delayed. 2015’s profits would normally be transferred in the first week of July. The Greek finance minister, Yannis Varoufakis, asked for the 2014 SMP profits be frontloaded to help avoid default, but this was turned down.
Although the EFSF and HFSF allow the European Commission a range of options in response to default – do nothing but “take note” that the non-payment has happened; accelerate payments, requesting the repayment of the entire amount owed; or postpone a decision to monitor the situation – that would not get Greece out of its hole.
Under normal conditions €16 billion should still be available in the IMF program until Q1 of 2016, but default will also block this. Non-payment means it cannot lend to a country until arrears have been cleared.
EurActiv.com reports that a spokesman for European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said that contacts were “still ongoing” between the EU executive and Athens but there’s no intention to buy time diplomatically by “stopping the clock” at midnight.
Meanwhile in an unprecedented development Greece has threatened to seek a court injunction against the EU institutions to both to block expulsion from the euro. Talking to The Telegraph Varoufakis said:
“The Greek government will make use of all our legal rights. We are taking advice and will certainly consider an injunction at the European Court of Justice. The EU treaties make no provision for euro exit and we refuse to accept it. Our membership is not negotiable.”

Europe Close to ‘Open Conflict’ Over Migrants, ‘Farage and Le Pen Smile as they Watch’ says EU Official

Europe’s failure to solve the Greek debt crisis risks lasting damage to the post-war dream of “ever closer union” at a time when it faces new threats on its borders, analysts said.
The chaos in Greece comes with European leaders already at each other’s throats over a wave of Mediterranean migrants, while the Ukraine conflict has plunged relations with Russia to their worst since the Cold War.
Leaders have warned that the Greek situation is an existential moment for the European project, with German Chancellor Angela Merkel saying on Monday that “if the euro fails, Europe fails”.
But experts say that even if Brussels can keep Athens in the euro, the crisis will sow seeds of distrust deep in the soil of the 60-year-old project to build a unified Europe after two world wars.
“It will leave scars,” Janis Emmanouilidis of the European Policy Centre think-tank in Brussels told AFP. “There is a lot of distrust.”
‘Nightmare’ for Greece
The launch of the European single currency a decade and a half ago was trumpeted as a unifying moment for the continent of 500 million people, but recent days have seen that dream of unity descend into what Emmanouilidis called a “nightmare”.
Banks are closed in Greece, Greek and European leaders have accused each other of lying and at the weekend there was the unprecedented sight of eurozone finance ministers refusing to extend Greece’s bailout and then freezing Greek colleague Yanis Varoufakis out of a meeting.
Both French President Francois Hollande and European Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker warned on Monday that if Greeks vote “No” and reject a bailout proposal in a referendum on Sunday, Athens will have to leave the euro.
“I think this is definitely a big blow for the eurozone project, even if they manage to keep Greece,” said Pieter Cleppe of the Open Europe think-tank.
He said there had not been “permanent damage” to the EU yet as core principles such as the single market were not affected, but added that “there is a danger that this could be undermined”.
“Even if disaster is avoided, the Greek episode will have very profound consequences for the EU, in terms of reforms needed,” added Nicolas Veron of the Breugel think-tank in Brussels.
“The Greek crisis has revealed that our system of government in the European Union… does not work, is extraordinarily inefficient, incapable of taking a decision within a useful timeframe.”
Geopolitical challenges
A frantic week of EU meetings in Brussels last week produced no Greek deal, with leaders instead spending six hours at one summit arguing about how to redistribute the hundreds of thousands of migrants fleeing Syria and North Africa.
A senior European official said it was “close to open conflict” on the migrant issue.
That showed Europe at its most dysfunctional at a time when it should be coming together to deal with unprecedented challenges in an unstable world, said Emmanouilidis.
“If you show that you are not even able to deal with your internal problems… that sends the wrong signal in a geopolitical context,” he said.
“It’s different from 2012 when Greek exit from the euro was last being talked about. When that was happening, the geopolitical situation was not as unstable as it is now with respect to the Middle East, North Africa, the Balkans, Russia, migratory pressure, you name it.”
The chaotic situation could also boost eurosceptics such as Nigel Farage of Britain’s UK Independence Party and Marine Le Pen of France’s National Front, he said.
“Farage and Le Pen, I am sure, have a smile on their faces as they watch this,” he added.
On the other hand, the Greek crisis may actually help the EU deal with the threat of losing another member, namely Britain, Jean Dominique Giuliani of the Robert Schuman Foundation told AFP.
Prime Minister David Cameron is demanding reforms to the EU before holding a referendum on whether to leave the bloc by 2017, but made only a brief, low key speech at a summit last week dominated by migration and Greece.
“Cameron seems to be being a bit more prudent. He doesn’t want to add to a big problem of internal politics by making demands from his European partners,” Giuliani said.

ISIS Beheads Women for First Time, Accusing Them of ‘Sorcery’

by Michael Lucchese

The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS) has beheaded women for the first time, accusing the two of “sorcery,” according to a human rights monitor. “The Islamic State group executed two women by beheading them in the Deir Ezzor province,” Syrian Observatory for Human Rights chief Rami Abdel Rahman said. “This is the first time the observatory has documented women being killed by the group in this manner.
Both women were executed with their husbands, and both were accused of “sorcery.” Witchcraft is considered polytheistic and apostate in Islam, and ISIS takes a hard line against the practice.
Similarly, Saudi Arabia has previously beheaded women accused of sorcery.
Human rights groups claim that the charge of sorcery has been used in Saudi Arabia to punish women for exercising their rights to freedom of religion and freedom of speech.
Others have been executed by ISIS for allegedly practicing magic. Street performers who entertain children, in particular, have been the targets of this violence. Even simple optical illusions count as black magic, according to the strict form of Sharia law ISIS clerics preach.
Previously, ISIS has stoned women for adultery and other offenses, but this is the first known time the group executed female civilians by beheading.
Activists claim that ISIS uses tactics like brutal public executions as a way to inspire fear in local populations, as a means to coerce them into submission.
Although beheadings remain all too common, the terrorist group has committed other atrocities as methods of execution.
In February, a United Nations watchdog reported that the Islamic militants were crucifying and burying children alive. They also claimed that ISIS was using mentally handicapped children as suicide bombers and abducting young girls and selling them as sex slaves.
ISIS has also burned men alive.
The UN reported that the Islamic State was guilty of committing “systematic violence” against ethnic and religious minorities.
Overall, ISIS has executed about 3,000 civilians in its reign of terror across its “Caliphate.”
Last November, ISIS beheaded American aid worker Peter Kassig and posted a graphic video of his execution.
James Foley, an American journalist covering the chaos in the Middle East, was also kidnapped and beheaded. ISIS was later caught trying to sell his body on the Turkey-Syria border.
Some analysts say the brutality of these executions is deliberately meant to be radical so the terror group’s actions have as wide an impact as possible. News of the brutality spreads quickly on social media and contributes to a growing sense of hopelessness faced by those combatting radical Islam in the Middle East and elsewhere.

British Jihadi Bride Posts Bizarre Poem Lauding Tunisian Terrorist Attack

Aqsa Mahmood

by Donna Rachel Edmunds

A prominent British jihadi bride who ran away to join ISIS two years ago has posted a poem on her blog rejoicing in last Friday’s murderous terrorist attacks in Tunisia, France and Kuwait. Aqsa Mahmood, a former private schoolgirl from Glasgow penned her bizarre poem in “praise” of the terrorist atrocities, claiming that the jihadis are fighting to oppose oppression by a western culture which celebrates the legalisation of gay marriage.
Referencing America’s Supreme Court decision, she writes: “They are all drowning their future – in a river which flows but to one direction. / It is in Hell they shall reside, taking back what they now call in pride.
“In 3 different locations a family was born. Its name was change, freedom and revenge.
“Change for the life we have been forced to live. Without any freedom or choice, where we cannot practice our creed.
“Revenge. This is an answer to our imprisonment, they try to make us deaf, dumb and blind to the light of Allaah, but it will always outshine.”
She then goes on to accuse the west of atrocities, saying “When you clearly show that you have no pity for all, stop shouting your slogans for peace,” before ending with a warning: “If you show no mercy with us then why should we with you?”
She has previously insisted that there is a war currently being waged against Islam and demanded fellow Muslims “pick a side”.
Her parents have slammed their as “twisted and evil,” and have denounced her words as having nothing to do with their religion.
A statement released on behalf of the family by family solicitor Aamer Anwar, said: “The family of Aqsa Mahmood became aware yesterday of her blog Umm Layth posting praise for the attacks in Tunisia, France and Kuwait. They are full of rage at her latest diatribe masquerading as Islam during the holy month of Ramadhan.
“Whilst their daughter may have destroyed any chance of happiness for her own family, they are sickened that she now celebrates the heartbreak of other families.
“The Mahmood family have a message for any young person attracted to ISIS, they say there is no honour, no glory, no god at work in the cowardly massacre of holiday makers, people at prayer in a Shia mosque or an innocent man at his place of work.
“As for Aqsa’s words they can only be described as twisted and evil, this is not the daughter that they raised.
“The Mahmood’s thoughts and prayers are with the families who are grieving for the loss of their loved ones.”
Asqa rose to prominence as a jihadi bride after publishing her thoughts on her blog, and using Twitter to lure more young girls to Syria to marry jihadi fighters.
Last year it emerged that she was running a brigade of the all-female ISIS police organisation al-Khansaa, which operates as part of ISIS’ sharia police force as well as running a series of brothels selling Yazidi captives for sex.
The Syrian activist group “Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently” observes that local women fear “the female fanatics … particularly due to their use of torture.”
Aqsa has also used Twitter to incite jihadi violence in Britain, tweeting “If you cannot make it to the battlefield, the bring the battlefield to yourself.”
The Metropolitan Police have said that their case against Asqa is ‘well advanced’, and that she could be arrested if she returns to Britain. However, she has vowed to die a martyr.

Tunisia: Islamic State jihadi knelt to pray to Allah after massacring tourists
Nothing to be concerned about. David Cameron and Boris Johnson assure us this has nothing to do with Islam. And they couldn’t possibly be wrong, and leading their country to ruin through their determined willful ignorance of the enemy’s identity, motives and goals, could they?

Jewish history exhibit defaced in Munich

Police in Munich are investigating a graffiti attack on an outdoor exhibit about local Jewish history. The exhibit is located in front of the Jewish museum and community center on Jakobsplatz, called the new Jewish center, in central Munich. The graffiti, which was discovered Monday, includes Hitler mustaches burned on photographs of rabbis and politicians. The department for politically motivated crimes is investigating, according to local reports. Top Headlines The exhibit was erected last week following a public celebration of 200 years since the founding of Munich’s Jewish community and 70 years since its reestablishment after the Holocaust. Bavaria’s minister of culture, Ludwig Spaenle, said in a statement that “the attack on these images must be seen as an attack on the people themselves.” In one image, mustaches were burned on a photo of former Munich Mayor Christian Ude and former German President Horst Kohler during the laying of the foundation stone for the Jewish center. A police spokesman told the Bild daily newspaper that it appeared someone had used a cigarette to burn the Hitler mustaches on the image as well as on a photo of prominent rabbis. Charlotte Knobloch, head of the Jewish Community of Munich and of the umbrella organization for Bavaria, said she was “dismayed” and personally upset about the incident, in part because the image of her own brother-in-law, Rabbi Roman Knobloch, was defaced.

UK: Memorial To Victims of 7/7 Bombing Used As Homeless Migrant Camp on Tenth Anniversary of Attack

 20150630_101609
by Liam Deacon

Migrant rough sleepers have caused outrage after being photographed camping right on top of the memorial (pictured above) to the victims of London’s 7/7 Islamic terror attacks. The migrants, thought to be Romanian, are reported to have used the plaque inscribed with the names of the 52 victims as a dinner table, and turned the immediate vicinity into a makeshift toilet. Several events to mark the ten-year anniversary of the atrocity are planned for next week, and survivors of the attack are said to be angered by the ignorance and disrespect demonstrated by the migrants. One onlooker told the Evening Standard:
“They were [at the 7/7 memorial site] when this poor person went to pay their respects to the dead early one morning. What he saw was basically a rubbish heap and the rough sleepers did not move. They seem ignorant of what the memorial means.
“At one stage they used the memorial plaque as a dinner table, it was disgusting. One of the group was even using the site as a toilet. This is just so out of order.”
Jacqui Putnam, a survivor of the train attack at Edgware Road that killed six, told the Standard: “This is shocking behavior and deeply offensive to the families of those who died and the survivors. It does not matter where these people are from, this is obviously a memorial and they are being deeply disrespectful. More needs to be done to protect the memorial.”
When Breitbart London reached the memorial in Hyde Park this morning, the majority of the migrants had moved back to their more permanent camp on Park Lane by Marble Arch (pictured below). They have been camped at the site on and off since 2012, costing the British taxpayer upwards of £500,000. The number of homeless Romanians in London has almost trebled since boarder controls were lifted a year and a half ago.
20150630_103021
Councilor Nickie Aiken of Westminster City Council said:
“All memorials should be treated with sensitivity and respect, but this one even more so with the tenth anniversary of the London terror attacks just a few days away.
“I was appalled when I saw the photographs. As soon as we knew about the problems, the council notified Royal Parks Police and Immigration Enforcement officers, bringing together the right agencies to address the issue as soon as possible.
“My thoughts are with the family and friends of the victims of 7/7 and hope these pictures do not cause further upset at what must be a very difficult time.”
The memorial was similarly disrespected on the anniversary of the attacks last year, when vandal sprayed the words “Blair lied thousands died”, “Four innocent Muslims” and “July 7 truth” in red and black paint onto the sculpture.

UK: Father forced 14-year-old daughter to marry Bangladeshi man on her birthday

A sick dad forced his 14-year-old daughter to marry a Bangladeshi man in his 30s – who went on to sexually assault her.The father woke the girl in her bed on her 14th birthday and forced her to marry the man in the family living room. A judge at Manchester Crown Court said the dad "betrayed" his schoolgirl daughter before jailing him for 14 weeks. The court heard how the schoolgirl was unknowingly awoken on her birthday by relatives who dressed her in "wedding finery and jewellery". Her siblings were told to go to school so they could not witness the wedding. The ceremony, which took place in 2013, was performed by an Imam in Bengali, causing the girl to have no clue what was going on.Judge Patrick Field QC said the ceremony was "beyond her understanding". She was prompted to talk by a family member who "pinched" her to indicate when she should speak. The girl brought the case to light when she flagged down a police car after running away from home. Prosecutor Elizabeth Nichols said that the girl's father was under "cultural pressures" from others but claimed that he was "uniquely placed" to protect her. Nichols said the schoolgirl had "no alternative" but to go through with it. She said: "She was taken downstairs where the ceremony was performed in Bengali by an Imam. “She says she did not understand the language. An aunt stood behind her and pinched her at the appropriate time for her to speak.” The court heard how she was immediately taken back upstairs and undressed so that when her siblings returned they would not think "anything extraordinary" had happened. Her father was in Bangladesh at the time she ran away but he returned back to the UK and surrendered at once. Bunty Batra, defending, said that the father "did not envisage or wish any harm to come to his daughter". He said: "He would never have consented, and did not consent, to any physical contact. "The marriage, in my submission, is clearly void. The complainant has not given her consent." Judge Field told the father that the case was brought against him because he owed his daughter "certain grave duties". He said: "Duties to nurture and to protect your daughter during her childhood. You were in breach of those duties. By forcing her into this union you betrayed her."

Tunisia: Beach Assassin Connected to Abu Qatada in Londonistan

Links between the Tunisia beach massacre and Islamist extremism in Britain can be revealed today. The fanatic who inspired gunman Seifeddine Rezgui ran a global terror network from London, a Daily Mail investigation has found. The mentor – Saifallah Ben Hassine – was himself a disciple of hate preacher Abu Qatada, then also based in the UK.
Security officials are investigating whether there are direct links between Rezgui and terrorists based in Britain. But the Mail has discovered that the group said to have indoctrinated Rezgui in Tunisia over the past six months is led by Ben Hassine. And these extremists can be traced straight back to the so-called ‘Londonistan’ years leading up to 9/11.

Iran nuclear talks: Rally in Vienna on July 1st

STOP THE BOMB, Jewish Community of Vienna & PDKI to protest against a rotten compromise with the Iranian regime

No acceptance of the Iranian nuclear program, no rotten compromise with Holocaust deniers, for the support of the Iranian opposition: The European coalition STOP THE BOMB, the Jewish Community of Vienna (IKG) and the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI) will be holding a protest rally against a dangerous deal with the Iranian regime at Vienna’s Theodor-Herzl-Square on Wednesday, 1 July, 12:00 noon. An information desk will be open from 09:00am - 03:00pm.

Raimund Fastenbauer, the Jewish Community’s Secretary General, declares: "Whoever negotiates with the ayatollahs, but ignores the Supreme Leader Ali Khamanei’s Holocaust denial, has already fallen for Hassan Rouhani’s and Mohammad Zarif’s charm offensive. And whoever ignores the permanently repeated Iranian annihilation threats against Israel is actually putting up the Jewish State’s existence for negotiation."

Regarding the nuclear talks, Stephan Grigat of STOP THE BOMB adds: "A deal, which leaves the infrastructure of the nuclear and missiles programs intact, institutionalizes the dangers arousing from these programs permanently. The policy of appeasement toward the Iranian regime enables its regional expansion in the Middle East."

Hiwa Bahrami, representative of the PDKI in Germany and Austria, calls for the support of the Iranian opposition: "It is like a stab in the back of the democratic and secular opposition in Iran and in exile to recognize regime figures as legitimate negotiating partners while the same regime executes more people under Rouhani than under Ahmadinejad."

UK Equality Report: Police Should Spend More Time In Gay Bars, Says Sample Size of 50 LGBT People

Gay Pride Is Celebrated In London
A new report by Britain’s taxpayer-funded Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) has recommended that UK police should be spending more time “socialising in known LGB&T venues and community ‘hubs’” in order to make Britain’s gay community feel safer. The report, entitled “LGB&T Hate Crime Reporting: Identifying Barriers and Solutions” was produced with a sample size of just 50 people, by the University of Leicester’s ‘Centre for Hate Studies’, which looks exclusively at LGBT issues, far-right groups, and Islamophobia. The centre does not spend any time or money researching Britain’s militant left, jihadist groups, or researching anti-Christian or anti-Semitic activity in Britain.
Nevertheless the report, which was published a week ago, declared that by interviewing 50 people it had found ways in which to tackle homophobic incidents, including asking the police to keep in touch with victims after the reported a crime, and socialising in “LGB&T venues and community hubs”.
The report was commissioned by the EHRC, which paid the University of Leicester to research the issue. The EHRC refused Breitbart London’s requests as to how much taxpayer money was used on the study, but said it stood by the report’s findings, particularly the notion that there are 35,000 unreported LGBT hate crimes in Britain each year.
This, despite the fact that even some of the reports interviewees dismissed the idea of having to report a hate crime for everything.
“When someone shouts something at us, we don’t class that as abuse. We don’t class that as a serious offence,” said one of the interviewees, a lesbian in her 20s.
Another interviewee, a gay male in his 40s, said: “I do have people who say, ‘Well, if I report every little thing that’s shouted to me in the street, I’ll be in the police station all day.’ That’s very common.”
But despite these approaches being similar across the spectrum of crime reporting, the EHRC told Breitbart London: “We have not undertaken any comparative studies to know whether this is the case or not.”
The report also said that there are incidents of racism within the LGBT community, but when pressed on the matter, the EHRC admitted that they had done no research into this area.
The research was entirely reliant on 50 interviews from volunteers who were advertised to via the Leicester Hate Centre’s partner groups, ‘The Chameleons’ – a support and social group for transgender people, ‘The East Midlands Bisexual Network’ – a social group that brings together bisexual people throughout the region, ‘The LGBT Centre’ – a voluntary organisation established to support lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, and ‘Trade’ – a health charity working with the LGB&T community of Leicester.
The EHRC was unable to comment on how the volunteers were advertise to, whether they had been paid for their time, or even what criteria the report used for selecting appropriate volunteers.
The Leicester Hate Centre did not respond to a request for further information.

Germany: public 'unconcerned' over anti-Semitism

Via i24 News:

Germans more worried about Islamophobic attacks, climate; Jewish body calls to raise awareness of Holocaust

Germans worry more about anti-Muslim racism than anti-Semitism. According to a new survey, the number of Germans who express concern over crimes and discrimination against Muslims is double the number of those worried about violent acts targeting Jews. The survey, conducted last week for the European Jewish Association (EJA), also found that only a quarter of the German public believes that the EU should intensify the measures taken to eradicate anti-Semitism.

The European Research Institute YouGov, which surveyed online a representative sample of 1,991 adults, found that the German public ranks the problem of anti-Semitism only in ninth place out of ten challenges that European society needs deal with it.

Most Germans viewed immigration (53%), climate change and the environment (44%), and terrorism (42%) as the biggest problems facing Germany. Only seven percent of the surveyed Germans mentioned anti-Semitism as a problem of importance, while 15 percent of them named anti-Muslim racism as such.

"This survey draws a realistic picture of the mood in Germany," President of the Central Council of Jews in Germany Josef Schuster told i24news following the publication of the survey. "Due to the terror attacks by Islamic fundamentalists at the beginning of this year, a lot of people feel threatened. Unfortunately, most of the anti-Semitic crimes receive less attention."

"We need sustained efforts to struggle against anti-Semitism," he continued. "The German public must be aware of the danger of these extremists, who are fanatic anti-Semites."  more

Report: Turkey Forces Yazidi Refugees to Turn Back at Bulgarian Border

by Michael Lucchese

Turkish forces are reportedly forcing refugees fleeing the chaos of the Middle East to turn back from the border with Bulgaria. According to reports, as many as 600 refugees, including women and children, are being forced to return to their camps in Turkey now.
One refugee told media that the Yazidis left their camp because conditions are unbearable.
“All that matters now is to move on, we don’t even care where we go,” one female refugee said. “We are dying daily, and I can’t stand it anymore.”
Turkish officials say that they have to enforce the law and prevent the refugees from moving into Europe, but the refugees seem very unwilling to return to their camps. 250 Yazidi refugees, including some elderly migrants, attempted to cross the border into Bulgaria elsewhere, but they were also caught. When authorities attempted to marshal them onto buses, apparently many sat down on the ground in protest. It took the border patrol agents five hours to load the buses after the protest.
“Where are the European countries? Where is humanity? We left Iraq to Turkey eager to find justice. But there is no justice here, they discriminate against us,” Hussein Ali Khan, another refugee, said.
A number of refugees have reported being made to sleep on the streets by a bus center in Istanbul.
Representatives for human rights groups focused on helping the Yazidi people said that they feel “traumatized.” They do not want to illegally enter Europe, but the conditions at refugee camps in Turkey are so terrible, so they feel like they must turn to illegal immigration to escape.
Earlier this year, the United Nations said that ISIS’s attacks on Yazidi communities could be characterized as “genocide.”
ISIS has been raping and enslaving young Yazidi girls, massacring Yazidi men, and generally pursuing a policy of extermination. Survivors often tell grim stories filled with violence and a sense of hopelessness.
The Yazidis are a religious minority in Iraq, Syria, and Turkey. Their faith is historically linked to Zoroastrianism, a dualistic religion that shares some elements of Christianity and Islam. The Yazidi faith in particular combines these religious traditions to form a syncretic faith with elements of all three. Certain radical Islamist groups, including ISIS, accuse them of “devil-worship.”

The Vatican Wants the Temple Mount Taken From the Jews

by Giulio Meotti

In 2000, speaking in a mosque in Palestinian-held Ramallah, Yasser Arafat declared, “No one will succeed in removing us from our land, including Jerusalem, and the Palestinian flag will fly from the Temple Mount and from the churches in Jerusalem.”
Arafat could say that because he had won the Vatican's support for his terroristic strategy. On June 26th, 2015, the Vatican signed its first treaty with the “State of Palestine”. It is the logical conclusion of a long path.
When the pontiff John Paul II ascended to the Temple Mount in 2000, Judaism’s most holy site, he wasn’t welcomed by Israeli officials, but by representatives of the Palestinian Authority, and the holy complex was bedecked in Arab flags. It was the Pope's implicit recognition of Islamic hegemony. It was taken to mean that Islam and Christianity superseded Judaism and have the right to “inherit” its holy places.
Since then, the Holy See’s taking a stance as the ally of the heads of the Palestinian Authority in the place most holy to the Jewish people, became almost a fait accompli.
The Catholic de-legitimization of Israel passes through the war on Jerusalem and the war on Jerusalem passes through the Temple Mount. The site where the Jewish people worshipped for hundreds of years and the focal point of every practicing Jew’s prayers is under assault from the Vatican.
The Vatican-PLO agreements have been signed to enable the eviction of the Jews from Jerusalem. This follows a memorandum signed by Palestinian and Vatican officials in 2000 which repeated the Vatican call for an international mandate to preserve “the proper identity and sacred character” of Jerusalem. It means a return to a time when half of Israel’s capital was under Islamic control, the Old City was closed to Jews, the synagogues were desecrated, and walls, barbed wire, and snipers divided the city by force.
The Vatican is consistent. In 1964, when Pope Paul VI made the first papal visit to Jerusalem, Jews and Christians with Israeli passports were barred from entering the Old City. And no Vatican official complained about that.
What will the Jews do apart from pleasing tyrants and their collaborators? Here's what should do. Start taking control of the Temple Mount. It will be harder to take you away.

Greek 'contagion' and threats to the EU

By Rick Moran

The initial shock to global markets of the Greek banking crisis was extremely negative, as you can imagine.  Pre-market trading in the U.S. shows a 1.2% decline of the index.
As bad as the slump in stocks has gotten, it can get much worse.  That's because this is just phase 1 of the Grexit – the exit of Greece from the euro.  A total collapse of the Greek banks when they reopen next week might precipitate another sell-off and expose other European banks to large losses if they invested in Greek debt.  It's not as bad as in 2011 and 2012, when Spanish and Italian banks were teetering as a result of their possession of huge amounts of Greek sovereign debt and Greece was threatened with a default.  Since then, the European Central Bank (ECB) has shored up the banking system in those countries and others with emergency funding mechanisms and strict rules on reserves.
Today, the ECB acts as a credible backstop, both as a significant buyer of eurozone sovereign debt and also as a facilitator of low cost financing to banks. Money market rates have moved relatively little during the latest crisis – low interest rates remain an important stimulus for the real economy across the eurozone region, as evidenced by ongoing data trends. Moreover, the ECB has stated that it will use all tools available “within its mandate” to limit contagion and maintain financial market stability.
Another significant stabiliser is that European banks have less exposure to ‘toxic’ debt since the ECB’s Asset Quality Review and stress tests in 2014, which were widely accepted as robust and rigorous. Based on Bloomberg data at the end of 2014, our analysis of European banks’ exposure to total Greek debt is 8%, nearly all of it owned by Greece’s Eurobank, and to a lesser extent Piraeus. To place this in context, Barclay’s exposure is minimal at €1.29 million (or less than 0.01% of privately held Greek debt).
While the eurozone’s financing position is much stronger today than four years ago, broader market sentiment is not always predictable, and nor are the politics.  Greece is an economic problem requiring a political solution. It is not just an issue of the Greek electorate accepting the imposition of creditor demands, but on the other side a number of parliaments across the eurozone need to agree to Greek bailout measures.  European creditors, led by Germany, want to maintain the ‘moral hazard’ argument and not set a precedent for eurozone countries to renege on their financial commitments. There is a fear of emboldening the anti-austerity movements, especially as Spain and Portugal both have parliamentary elections later this year.
But there is one threat to the EU that can't be handled by the ECB or any other EU financial entity.  And that is the perception that the EU itself is indestructible and that membership is "irreversible."  A Grexit will almost certainly make a "Brexit" – the exit of Great Britain from the EU – more likely, although still a long shot.
To understand why Europe is investing so much time and effort on keeping Greece in the euro area, look no further than Mario Draghi’s celebrated speech three years ago.
At the height of the euro area’s sovereign-debt crisis in July 2012, the central bank president’s pledge to do whatever was needed to keep the region together underscored the principle at the heart of the currency bloc -- that membership is irreversible.
The risk of undermining that message may explain why a country that accounts for less than 2 percent of the bloc’s output has such a hold on policy makers and officials. It may also protect Greece, which has a population smaller than that of Ohio, from the risk of default and a euro-area exit.
“There’s a lot of political capital invested in the euro area to keep it whole,” said Elwin de Groot, a senior market economist at Rabobank International in Utrecht, Netherlands. “Indeed, when we allow Greece to get out of this, in a way it makes it clear to the market that the euro zone is no longer whole, it can be changed and is no longer irreversible.”
What’s at stake may also explain the relative lack of panic in financial markets even as talks on Greece’s future fail to make a decisive breakthrough. The euro was little changed against the dollar on Thursday and Italian and Spanish government bonds managed to eke out some gains by market close.
Conversely, a failure to keep Greece in the 19-member currency union would risk investor speculation that other nations could leave in the future, posing an existential threat to the euro project. Just as happened before Draghi’s speech in 2012, investors may demand higher yields to own countries’ bonds, threatening their economic recovery.
Marine Le Pen of the National Front party, a frontrunner in France’s 2017 presidential election, said Tuesday that she supports an orderly breakup of the common currency.
On the one hand, you have nationalist elements in France and Great Britain who want to leave the EU, and on the other, you have the far-left anti-austerity parties in Spain and Portugal who want to stay in the EU, but only if they can go back to the good old days of wildly overspending and forcing the rest of the eurozone to finance their welfare states.
We saw what happened to Greece and Prime Minister Tsipras when that was tried.
Greece will be in technical default tomorrow when they can't pay the IMF the $1.6 billion.  But that's not quite the end for Greece.  We can expect another round of negotiations if the Greek people rise up next Sunday and accept the terms offered by the EU.  In that case, Tsipras will be forced to resign, with new elections held.  And the new government will have a mandate to negotiate another bailout package – almost certainly a lot more than the $7 billion or so left from the original bailout of $260 billion.
This is dependent on the survival of the Greek banks.  And while the ECB is refusing today to increase the amount of euros it pumps into Greek banks every day in emergency liquidity loans, the bank may alter that policy if the referendum goes against Tsipras.  This would keep the banks afloat until a new government could come to an agreement with creditors.
So despite all the sturm und drang, there is a chance by the end of the summer that we will be back exactly where we were before Tsipras was elected: Greece on a tight fiscal leash, and the Greek debt can kicked a little farther down the road, delaying the moment when Greece must pay up or leave the EU.

Jewish Conductor Stung by Anti-Semitism in German Press

The Berlin Philharmonic's conductor to-be will no longer be giving interviews after two major German media outlets published articles describing him using anti-Semitic stereotypes.
Kirill Petrenko, 43, who is of Russian Jewish origin, was last week appointed to take over as conductor for the Berlin Philharmonic starting in 2018. He currently serves as the director for the Bavarian State Opera in Munich.
According to the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Petrenko refuses to speak to media, after both Northern German Radio (NDR) and Welt Online used anti-Semitic tropes in their commentaries on his appointment.
In her article, NDR's Sabine Lange compared Petrenko to another contender for the position, German-born Christian Thieleman, describing Petrenko as "the tiny gnome, the Jewish caricature."
Meanwhile, Welt Online's commentator said it was "a relief to many" that Petrenko has good interpersonal relations, “as at least one of the female opera singers at this year’s Bayreuth [Wagner] Festival can attest.”
Petrenko was apparently not the only one offended as readers began to slam the use of anti-Semitic stereotypes of overly competitive Jews, forcing the articles to be removed or edited, German Economic News reported.
Both reports were “bursting with anti-Semitic hatred,” one reader wrote NDR, adding, “this is now apparently OK in Germany again.”
NDR's attempt at an apology also backfired, with one reader calling the apology "an insult to our intelligence. “It’s just unbelievable that you could not have been aware [of the anti-Semitic stereotypes].”
The radio station later retracted the statement and acknowledged the article should have never been published.

Hundreds of Thousands Abandon Spain to Look for Work Elsewhere

 Sebastien Berda / Getty
by Donna Rachel Edmunds

The population of Spain has dropped for the third year in a row as hundreds of thousands leave to look for work elsewhere. But although the government has admitted to the population drop, groups representing Spanish migrants have accused it of drastically underplaying the scale of Spanish emigration for political reasons. Spain is currently struggling with an unemployment rate of 24.8 per cent, the highest in the European Union after Greece. Although Spain’s economy has rallied a little, growing 1.4 per cent in the last year, it has had little effect on the employment figures, prompting both Spanish citizens and migrants living in Spain to head abroad in search of work, The Local has reported.
Consequently, according to official  figures from the National lnstitute of Statistics, a net total of 102,309 people left Spain last year, bringing the total Spanish population to 46,439,864 as of 1st January 2015, or a net reduction in population after accounting for birth and death rates of -0.16 percent. This represents a slowdown in the population decline – it decreased by -0.46 per cent in 2013.
The vast majority of those leaving were not Spanish nationals but were immigrants, mostly from Ecuador and Morocco. Nearly 40,000 Ecuadorians left Spain, equivalent to 18.5 per cent of the resident population, while close to 32,000 Moroccans followed suit.
The largest immigrant population in Spain are Romanians, of whom 707,000 live across the country and nearly 21,000 left Spain in 2014. Britons are the country’s third highest immigrant population; of the 304,000 Brits living in Spain’s sunny climes, a net 6,276 decided to relocate.
The Institute has also reported that 78,785 Spanish nationals emigrated in 2014, 50,249 of whom were born in Spain. At the same time, 41,278 Spanish nationals immigrate, 19,638 of whom were born in Spain.
However, organisations representing Spanish nationals abroad have questioned those figures, accusing the government of downplaying the numbers. One group, Marea Granate, says it believes that the true number is ten times higher.
It has compiled data on the number of Spaniards who registered with social security systems in just 12 other countries last year, and says that that figure alone came to 89,209, higher than the total for all emigration by Spanish nationals given in the official figures.
Marea Granate has said that in the UK alone, 50,260 Spaniards registered for a National Insurance number in 2014, whereas the official figures record just 9,797 Spanish nationals coming to the UK.
Similar discrepancies in the statistics for Germany means that the Institute has “lost” more than 16,000 Spaniards who headed there last year.
“The Popular Party government constantly minimizes the actual emigration figures,” the group has said. “The Spanish Government is well aware of the numbers of migrants and their magnitude.
“We denounce the actions of the government in continuing to deliberately hide the numbers of people forced to leave.”

UK Terror Police on Alert as Sub-Machineguns ‘Smuggled Into Britain’

by Nick Hallett

Britain’s National Crime Agency (NCA) has warned that weapons capable of firing 1,000 rounds per minute are being smuggled into Britain by criminal gangs as fears grow of a “copycat” attack after the Tunisia beach massacre. More than 30 Britons are feared to have died in the attack at Sousse after an Islamist gunman fired indiscriminately at Western tourists.
Now The Times reports that police, the military and intelligence officials are to take part in a huge exercise this week to simulate their response to a similar attack in Britain.
Home Secretary Theresa May chaired a meeting of government’s “Cobra” emergency committee, saying that the operation, known as Strong Tower, will begin “in the near future”. She said security forces have “a constant job, day in and day out, of being vigilant, of monitoring these situations, of protecting us.”
Islamic State has already threatened to make the Muslim holy month of Ramadan a “calamity for kuffars” with attacks not just in Tunisia but also in Kuwait – where at least 27 people died in an attack on a mosque – and France, where an Islamist beheaded his boss before attacking a factory.
Breitbart London reported yesterday the police at Wimbledon have already stepped up security for Wimbledon this week after seizing a drone over the courts on Friday. Inspector Roger Robinson explained: “It is an offence to fly a drone within 50 metres of a structure. Anyone intending to fly a drone should give prior consideration to the surrounding landscape and any structures or venues.”
Meanwhile, Chief Superintendent Stuart Macleod added: “This year’s event will be policed to a level proportionate with the current threat level. We have worked closely in partnership with the All England Club and other partner agencies to ensure the Championships can be enjoyed by all those attending.”

The Strategic Consequences of "Grexit"

by Peter Martino
  • Last January, ISIS revealed that it is smuggling terrorists into Europe by hiding them among the immigrants leaving Turkey.
  • "If Europe leaves us in the crisis, we will flood it with immigrants, and it will be even worse for Berlin if in that wave... there will be some jihadists of the Islamic State, too." — Panos Kammenos, Defense Minister of Greece
  • Greece is a member of NATO. The whole world witnessed how the Defense Minister of one NATO country was threatening other NATO members with unleashing Islamic terrorists on them.
  • A Greek exit will lead to a power vacuum in the southeastern corner of Europe, which Russia (and China) will be only too eager to fill. The Chinese are currently negotiating with the Greek government to acquire an even larger part of the port of Piraeus.
Last weekend, Greece failed to reach an agreement with its three creditors, the European Commission, the European Central Bank, and the International Monetary Fund. A bankruptcy of the Hellenic Republic is now imminent. If it materializes, a so-called Grexit will follow: Greece will be forced to leave the Eurozone -- the group of 19 European Union (EU) member states that use the euro as their common currency. Leaving the Eurozone automatically means that, under the EU treaties, Greece will also have to leave the EU.
Across Greece, people have been lining up to withdraw money from cash machines, most of which have run out of money, after the government ordered banks to close for six days starting Monday. (Image source: Reuters video screenshot)
Grexit is likely to lead to economic and political turmoil in Greece, a hugely important strategic country, which borders on an increasingly unstable part of the world. Greece lies on the Mediterranean, fewer than 350 kilometers to the north of the Libyan coastal town of Derna, a stronghold of the Islamic terrorists of ISIS. It was here that, last February, ISIS beheaded 21 Coptic Egyptian prisoners, and vowed to conquer Europe. The threat to Greece's eastern borders is even greater. Greece is currently being inundated by illegal immigrants, arriving from Turkey by sea. Each day in June, human traffickers were transporting between 650 and 1,000 migrants by boat from Turkish ports to Greece. Last January, ISIS revealed that it is smuggling terrorists into Europe by hiding them among the migrants leaving Turkey.
If Greece leaves the EU, it is highly unlikely that it will try to prevent the illegal immigrants from travelling on to the rest of Europe. On the contrary, in March, Greek defense minister Panos Kammenos vowed to flood the rest of Europe with immigrants if the EU should allow Greece to go bankrupt. "If Europe leaves us in the crisis, we will flood it with immigrants, and it will be even worse for Berlin if in that wave of millions of economic immigrants there will be some jihadists of the Islamic State, too," the Greek minister said. All the newcomers to Greece, Kammenos said, would be given papers, so they "could go straight to Berlin." Greece is a member of NATO. The whole world could witness how the defense minister of one NATO country was threatening other NATO members with unleashing Islamic terrorists on them.
A Greek exit from the EU will not only mean a rupture with its Western European neighbors, who are all members of NATO as well, but is also likely to affect the entire Atlantic partnership. It will lead to a power vacuum in the southeastern corner of Europe, which Russia will be only too eager to fill.
Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras was recently in Moscow to sign a gas deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The deal allows the Russians to build a natural gas pipeline across Greece that will carry Russian gas to Europe. The construction of the pipeline will not only create 20,000 new jobs in Greece, but Russia will also pay Greece hundreds of millions of dollars annually in transit payments. Speaking about the pipeline deal, Putin offhandedly remarked to the international media that he saw no support for the Greeks from the EU.
There are also rumors that Athens might allow Russia the use of Greek military bases. Russia is expanding militarily in the Black Sea and the eastern part of the Mediterranean. Greece could also serve as a base for the Russians to strengthen their position in the Balkans. If Greece were to turn its back on NATO, it could become a geographical link between Russia and its Balkan vassal, Serbia -- a process that would link the three Christian-Orthodox nations of Russia, Serbia and Greece.
But the Russians are not the only ones closely following the events in Greece and hoping for geopolitical benefits. For some time, China's influence in Greece has also been expanding. The Chinese state-owed Cosco Group recently bought the container terminal in Greece's largest port, Piraeus. The port was privatized after demands from the EU. The Chinese are currently negotiating with the Greek government to acquire an even larger part of Piraeus.
Both Russia and China are eager to strengthen their position in Greece if it were to turn its back on Europe and NATO. The consequences of Grexit will not merely be economic. The strategic implications are at least as important, and far-reaching.

UK PM Cameron Deluded To Think Islamic Terrorists Have Nothing To Do With Religion

by Simon Kent

UK Prime Minister David Cameron believes that Islamic terrorism has nothing to do with religion. We know that because he’s always banging on about it. Perhaps he should talk to his counterpart in Tunisia. The first thing Habib Essid did after last Friday’s Sousse massacre of (mostly British) innocents was close the doors of 80 mosques. There was no debate, consultation or plea for understanding from Tunisia’s leader. The anodyne social worker language of “reaching out” to the disaffected and calling for understanding of “root causes” was entirely absent.
Unthinkable action for our own effete liberal intelligentsia in the UK, I know. Instead closing radical mosques would be immediately called out as showing a callous disregard for human rights and liberties. It would be a suppression of religion, a blow against free speech and a challenge to the inalienable right to freedom of worship.
It would probably upset the EU as well. Just a bit.
Not that Essid cared a fig for such delicate sensibilities as our own. He also announced a string of tough measures to fight extremism including examining the funding of organizations suspected of promoting Islamic radicalism and declaring certain mountainous zones military areas.
He did that because Essid sees the world as it is – not as he wishes it to be. That’s why he also cautioned: “We are at war against terrorism which represents a serious danger to national unity during this delicate period that the nation is going through.”
It should be applauded that a man who came to power at the tail end of the Arab Spring (remember that?) is a man of action not hollow words. He knows Islam is a convoluted religion with a host of competing interpretations but that doesn’t mean it should not be challenged. What a pity our own limp political class is less inclined to call out the evil of Islamic terrorism and close down its wellspring in radicalised mosques wherever they are found.
Instead we have David Cameron calling for calm and urging us to “carry on”, downplaying any criticism of the self-described “religion of peace” by saying the acts of terrorism we have witnessed in France, Kuwait and Tunisia have nothing to do with Islam. No, seems they are lone wolves. Every single one of them.
Tell that to Habib Esid.
Better still, Mr Cameron should listen to Australia’s Prime Minister Tony Abbott. In the hours immediately after the 24-hour jihadi spree in France, Tunisia and Kuwait, Mr Abbott spoke in Canberra about the danger posed by IS terrorists. He used five words you will never hear coming from mealy-mouthed Dave.
“They are coming for us,” Mr Abbott warned.
Well, David Cameron, do you agree with that or not? Your time starts now…

Germany: Poll findings on Gaza naval blockade reveal ‘double standard’ regarding national security concerns

EIPA (Europe Israel Press Associationà reports

52% of Germans would support their country imposing a sea blockade on a threatening neighbouring country, but only 30% support Israel’s right to do so.

These findings, in a YouGov poll commissioned by Brussels leading pro-Israel advocacy group Europe Israel Public Affairs/Press association (EIPA) reveal an apparent double standard when it comes to national security concerns.

The poll comes as another flotilla of European ships is seeking to challenge Israel’s naval blockade on Gaza, echoing previous attempts which saw Israeli soldiers stabbed and thrown overboard when they boarded the Mavi Marmara ship in 2010.

The poll also found that 44% of Germans oppose the Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip, 17% strongly oppose it.  30% of Germans believe that humanitarian aid should be allowed into Gaza without inspection and supervision by Israel or any other monitoring body.  Only 13% support Israel’s right to monitor the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.  But when Germans were asked the same questions regarding a hypothetical situation in which a neighbouring country was taken over by a terrorist organisation who began firing missiles on Berlin and other parts of Germany, 52% of those polled supported a naval blockade.

“It appears that Germans feel there is one rule for them and another for Israel when it comes to national security concerns. This is a bizarre discrepancy to say the least,” commented EIPA founder Rabbi Menachem Margolin.

“It is clear that there are significant gaps in what Germans perceive as their own moral and security rights compared to how they view Israel’s. We gave the German public a hypothetical situation which exactly mirrored what is happening in Israel today. Alarmingly they chose to unambiguously protect themselves whilst not affording Israel the same right,” Margolin said. More.

Navy Takes Over Flotilla Ship

IDF naval fighters early on Monday morning boarded the Swedish ship Marianne that was taking part in the latest flotilla trying to violate Israel’s naval blockade of Gaza.
The troops took control of the ship and will take it to the Ashdod Port where its contents will be inspected. The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said the takeover process was short and there were no injuries on either side.
“According to the decision of the political echelon, and after exhausting all diplomatic channels to prevent the Marianne vessel from reaching the coast of the Gaza Strip and violating the naval blockade, navy fighters took over the vessel a short time ago before its arrival in Gaza,” the statement said.
“The action was taken after a large number of requests to the passengers on the vessel. Once the passengers clarified that they would not cooperate and proceed to the Ashdod Port, it was decided to take over the vessel and sail it to the Ashdod port.”
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu welcomed the operation to take over the vessel and said, "I would like to commend the sailors and commanders of the Israel Navy for their determined and efficient action in detaining the passengers on the ship that tried to reach the Gaza coast in contravention of the law. This flotilla is nothing but a demonstration of hypocrisy and lies that is only assisting the Hamas terrorist organization and ignores all of the horrors in our region. Preventing entry by sea was done in accordance with international law and even received backing from a committee of the UN Secretary General.”
“Israel,” noted Netanyahu, “is the only democracy that defends itself in accordance with international law. We are not prepared to accept the entry of war materiel to the terrorist organizations in Gaza as has been done by sea in the past. Just last year we foiled an attempt to smuggle by sea hundreds of weapons that were destined for use in attacks against Israel's citizens.”
He stressed that “there is no siege on Gaza. Israel assists in transferring goods and humanitarian equipment to Gaza – approximately 800 trucks a day that have recently brought into Gaza more than 1.6 million tons of goods. Moreover, Israel assists in hundreds of humanitarian projects, through international organizations, including the building of clinics and hospitals.”
“Israel is a state that seeks peace and acts in accordance with international law so that the residents of Gaza might have safe lives and their children may grow up in peace and quiet," concluded Netanyahu.
The so-called “Freedom Flotilla 3”, which set sail from Crete on Friday, has been backed by the European Campaign to Break the Siege on Gaza. Members of the European Parliament, journalists, athletes, artists, as well as radical leftist Israelis will be on board.
Arutz Sheva has exclusively revealed that the flotilla is indirectly funded by the French government via a pro-Palestinian NGO.
The flotilla was the latest in a series of attempts by activists to break the naval blockade on Gaza, imposed by Israel after Hamas violently took control of Gaza from rival Fatah in 2006.
The most famous of the flotillas was the 2010 one involving the Turkish Mavi Marmara, which claimed to be providing "humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza."
The ship repeatedly defied orders to turn around and dock at the Ashdod port and ignored repeated warnings to change course, forcing IDF troops to board the vessel - only to be attacked by Islamist extremists on board wielding knives and metal bars. The wounded soldiers had no choice but to open fire, resulting in the deaths of ten of Islamists on board.
After an investigation, Israeli authorities discovered the vessel to be carrying no humanitarian aid - in fact, no aid supplies at all - indicating how the true goal of the provocative move was to open Gaza to free naval access, which it has consistently used to smuggle in weapons to be targeted against Israel.
