Calais Luvvie Lily Allen Claims Cabbie Abused Her Over Migration Comments
Pop singer Lily Allen has claimed a taxi driver discriminated against her because of her pro mass-migration views.
“Just tried to get in a black cab with my kids. The driver looked at me and said, ‘find an immigrant to drive you stupid tart’,” she wrote on Twitter this Friday.
“Having lived a life of privilege, that interaction has given me a tiny glimpse of what it feels like to be discriminated against”, Ms Allen added, before using the alleged incident to attack the Brexit vote.
“There is so much work to be done. But we can do it. Let’s stamp out this stupid horrible ignorance together. #takeourcountryback”, she wrote.
Speaking to Breitbart London, Transport for London have confirmed that Ms. Allen has not filed an official complaint, despite their requesting she do so.
The British musician accused fellow Twitter users of “victim shaming”, after a number questioned her version of events and asked for evidence on the social media site.
“Reg and plate No. Or it didn’t happen,” said one user. “I had both my hands full with children, couldn’t get to my phone fast enough,” she responded.Earlier this month, Ms. Allen provoked criticism after appearing to tell an Afghan migrant in the Calais Jungle camp: “I apologise on behalf of my country.”
She hit back at her critics, saying: “So much abuse for apologising to a helpless child for the part this country has played in contributing to his dire situation.”
She also insisted she would “100 per cent” take a child migrant into her home, adding “Who wouldn’t?”
When a man of Jewish heritage complained about her apologising on his behalf, she responded: “Your grandchildren will be apologising for you and your hatrid [sic] in years to come just like the Germans do for the Nazis.”
When he explained his ethnicity, she doubled down, adding: “Then you should be twice as ashamed.”
She reiterated the sentiment this week in a column for VICE, insisting people who express scepticism over the age of supposed “child migrants” are like Hitler and the Nazis.
“From a very early age we were taught about the Second World War and how evil Hitler was,” she wrote.
In relation to the “child migrants” controversy, she added: “You always wonder how he managed to get the whole country to go along with that. Now we’re seeing it. But I don’t want to be a good German. I want to be on the right side of history.”
Jewish groups were quick to criticise the comments, describing them as “crass” and “deeply ignorant”, and have called on her to apologise.
