AN ASYLUM seeker who stormed a children’s Nativity play and shouted that he would kill unbelievers is a “terrorist supporter” who backed attacks across the West, according to reports.
The terrifying stage invasion took place in Austria, where petrified toddlers were interrupted as their parents looked on in horror.
Christian Hubmer of the Wels public prosecutor’s office said the man was reciting verses of the Koran as children put on the play in town of Oberndorf.
He revealed the asylum seeker was shouting statements that were “related” to the Al-Nusra Front, a branch of al-Qaeda in Syria.
Mr Humber said: “His statements were closely related with the Al-Nusra Front and he is said to have shouted ‘kill the infidels’ during the incident.”
A pair of brothers in the audience restrained the 24-year-old Somali before a group of men, including a police officer, dragged him outside.
A witness said at the time: “The children are totally anxious and petrified, we were terribly afraid for our children.”Around 250 people were in the audience to watch the children’s nativity play, and the experience continues to haunt many of them, reports said.A woman, named only as Nina B, said: “My nephew does not want to go to nursery school any more. He asks what happens when the man comes back and his uncle is not there to help him.”
Another unnamed parent said: “In the beginning, no one thought of anything, as in the previous year asylum seekers were invited to play along.“But when he took the Koran, it was clear that something was wrong.”My daughter at home told me again and again how much she was frightened by the rigid facial expression of the asylum seeker.”Investigations are currently ongoing.
