'We will never vote for Merkel' Parents of man left in coma after Berlin attack lash out
THE parents of a man who is now in a coma following the horrific Berlin attacks have blamed Chancellor Angela Merkel for the atrocity by failing to control the number of migrants let into Germany. On Monday a truck was ploughed into the Christmas market in Berlin, which left 12 people dead and 48 others injured. Speaking to a reporter for a Danish newspaper, the distraught father said: “I will never vote for you again as long as I live. And hopefully neither will my entire family and friends.” The mother said: “He is seriously injured and is still in a coma.”His mother told the interviewer that their son works in Berlin and returned to Wiesbaden during the weekend. Mrs Merkel has faced intense criticism for her policies supporting migrants and allowing more than a million migrants arrive in Germany. Speaking after the attack, Mrs Merkel said: “I know that it would be particularly hard to bear for all us if if it was confirmed that a person committed this crime who asked for protection and asylum in Germany.” The Ukip donor Arron Banks also suggested Mrs Merkel “might as well” have been driving the lorry that drove through the Christmas market in Germany.Former Ukip leader Nigel Farage has also said that Merkel has made the “worst policy decision” in the last 70 years by welcoming so many asylum seekers into the country. Anis Amri who was accused of carrying out the Berlin attack was killed in a shootout with police in Milan on December 23.
