Manchester terror attack - Police arrest 23-year-old man in raids across city

POLICE have arrested a man in Chorlton, South Manchester following the horrific attack at an Ariana Grande concert last night that killed 22 people and injured 59 others. Police have arested a 23-year-old man in Chorlton, South Manchester in response to the Manchester terror attack. A spokesman from Greater Manchester Police said: "With regards to the ongoing investigation into last night’s horrific attack at the Manchester arena, we can confirm we have arrested a 23-year-old man in South Manchester." Nick Yates tweeted: “Black Merc full of non-uniform police in face masks just arrested someone outside Morrisons in #Chorlton” The arrest from a team of armed police happened outside the Morrisons supermarket in Chorlton.Theresa May held an emergency COBRA meeting this morning with ministers to discuss the horrific incident. She said: "It is now beyond doubt that the people of Manchester and of this country have fallen victim to a callous terrorist attack, an attack that targeted some of the youngest people in our society with cold calculation. "The campaigning for the June General Election has been suspended following the attack. Leaders from across the world have expressed their solidarity with Britain after the incident, vowing to beat terrorism together.
