Germany: Time of Ramadan, time of the "honour killings"

All the perpetrators listed here are obviously Muslim men:

On Monday evening, a homicide took place in the city of Salzgitter-Lebenstedt. A 30-year-old woman was killed as reported. Another 32-year-old victim was injured. The perpetrator fled the scene in a white VW Golf. According to initial findings, family disputes may have been the trigger for the crime. After intensive investigations in close cooperation with the public prosecutor's office in Braunschweig, the 38-year-old suspect was arrested in the midday hours in Westerkappeln / North Rhine-Westphalia by North Rhine-Westphalian police special units.

On Monday evening (28 May), a woman (28) was seriously injured by several knife wounds in her apartment in Cologne-Meschenich. Cologne police have provisionally arrested the suspect husband (31). A homicide squad has started an investigation into attempted manslaughter. Around 9.45 pm neighbours had found the seriously injured in front of the house on Alte Brühler Street  and called for help. Rescuers took her to a hospital. There is currently no danger to life. According to current investigations, the suspect had attacked and injured the 28-year-old with a knife. Previously, a dispute between the separated spouses had escalated. The 31-year-old perpetrator first fled the scene in a vehicle. Officials arrested him during the night. Investigations into the background are ongoing.

On 27 May 2018, at 7:29 pm, the police received an emergency call that a 47-year-old man had assaulted his 40-year-old ex-partner in a house on Münze Street in the town of Winsen. Parallel to the arrival of the first patrol car at 7:33 pm, the 47-year-old himself dialed 911 and said he had just killed his wife.
Officials entered the house. The 47-year-old came out of the kitchen with his hands up and was temporarily arrested.
On the upper floor, the police finally found the 40-year-old woman lying lifeless on the floor. The officers immediately started resuscitation measures, which were taken over minutes later by the rescue service. The woman came with an ambulance to a clinic in Hamburg, where she died of her injuries shortly afterwards.
According to initial findings, there had been an argument between her and the separated husband in the 40-year-old's house. During this time, the 47-year-old stabbed the woman several times with a knife. The eight- and twelve-year-old sons were also at home during the conflict. To what extent they witnessed the immediate act is still unclear. Both children were cared for by a crisis intervention team.
The 47-year-old, who was heavily drunk during the execution of the crime, was placed in police custody after his provisional arrest. He will be brought before a magistrate later today.
Media note: For reasons of personality protection and with reference to the current proceedings, no further details will be published.
