On Hullerner Street in the town of Haltern, near the reservoir, a chapel has been devastated for the second time in a short time. The unknown culprit or culprits destroyed flower beds, tore a Jesus figure from the cross and threw several objects from the chapel into a nearby piece of forest. The perpetrator or perpetrators were able to escape undetected. About two weeks ago there had been a similar incident at the chapel. Police are looking for witnesses who have observed suspicious persons at or near the chapel between Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Information can be obtained from the responsible Regional Commission in Marl on 0800/2361 111.
