Muslims conquer Victory Plaza in Clermont-Ferrand, France, rename it “Nakba Place”
The Victory Square is the forecourt of the Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption Cathedral.
Also on that square ther’s a fountain topped by the statue of Pope Urban II, who launched the first crusade in Clermont in 1095. This work of the sculptor Henri Gourgouillon was raised in 1898.
