In the early Thursday morning (May 31st) around 5.20 a.m. a young woman was torn to the ground by a man on the Pass street near the city park in the city of Aachen. Using violence, the suspect sexually harassed her. The woman defended herself and was able to attract the attention of a local resident by cries for help. After he called the attacker to leave the woman alone, he fled the scene. The witness called the police and took care of the victim, who according to current information was slightly injured in the attack. On their way to the scene of the crime and the associated manhunt, the officers examined a young man suspected of the crime. Because the suspicion of the crime was further substantiated, he was temporarily arrested. According to current investigations, he is a 22-year-old refugee reported in Aachen, who is being brought before the judge today by order of the public prosecutor's office in Aachen. The victim was offered the opportunity to be cared for by a police victim protection officer.
