‘Rampaging’ Man Shot By Police in Berlin Cathedral
A “rampaging” man has been shot by police in Berlin’s main Protestant cathedral.
“Shortly after 4 p.m. (2 p.m. GMT) police shot at a rampaging man at Berlin cathedral. He was wounded in the leg,” the police confirmed in a tweet.
The identity, ethnicity, and nationality of the “rampaging” man has not been disclosed, according to Sky News, and the police have asked people not to speculate for the time being.The suspect is reported to have attacked another man, who is also injured — although to what extent is unclear.
Deutsche Welle journalist Dana Regev tweeted that a police officer has been injured, although the situation remains unclear.
