Blumenthal Passed Material to Hillary from His Pro-Muslim Brotherhood Son

by Daniel Greenfield

A little reminder now that Sid’s emails to Hillary are in the spotlight again. As I pointed out a few years ago, Sidney Blumenthal was feeding material to Hillary from his radically anti-Israel son, Max Blumenthal.
Furthermore Blumenthal was feeding her material from his infamous son Max Blumenthal, who is not only radically anti-Israel, but has been trying to sell the idea that the “Innocence of Muslims” trailer led to the murder of the Benghazi four. At least one of Max Blumenthal’s anti-Israel pieces was promoted by the Jewish Community Center shooter as proof his his anti-Semitic theories.
The Simon Wiesenthal Center has labeled Blumenthal an anti-Semite and his comments earned him a spot in the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s “Top 10” list of anti-Semitic slurs.
•Blumenthal’s “works” have been cited and praised by radical extremists and neo-Nazis  and have been featured on the anti-Semitic blog, Electronic Intifada as well as the neo-Nazi Internet forum, Stormfront.
•Blumenthal’s comments have been cited with approval by Frazier Glenn Miller, the KKK murderer who massacred three people at two separate Jewish community centers in Overland Park, Kansas.
•The Left-leaning Forward referred to Blumenthal’s book as so anti-Israel it, “makes even anti-Zionists blush.”
•Prominent liberal Eric Alterman of The Nation referred to Blumenthal’s book as a screed that belongs in the “Hamas
And Max Blumenthal called for the destruction of Israel and the ethnic cleansing of the Jews.
Blumenthal gives a convoluted answer that comes down to this: “There should be a choice placed to the settler-colonial population” (meaning the entire Jewish population of Israel): “Become indigenized,” that is, “you have to be part of the Arab world.” Or else…? “The maintenance and engineering of a non-indigenous demographic majority is non-negotiable.”
Lustick appears stunned. And not only Lustick. Philip Weiss, founder and co-editor of Mondoweiss, who was in the audience, wrote afterwards, in a rare rebuke of his own writer, that he saw “some intolerance in that answer.”
We live in a “multicultural world,” Weiss wrote. There should be room for Israelis. “The issue in the end involves the choice between an Algerian and a South African outcome.” Mass expulsion versus coexistence. “I’m for the South African outcome.”
Blumenthal isn’t. It’s a chilling moment, even for the anti-Zionists among us.”
Sidney Blumenthal was passing material from his son in Egypt to Hillary Clinton. In Egypt, Max Blumenthal had taken a pro-Muslim Brotherhood line, blaming the Egyptian military and liberals.
After a popular uprising removed Morsi from power, Blumenthal was whining that the Egyptian media was Islamophobic for criticizing the Brotherhood’s atrocities.
“We’ve seen the demonization of Palestinians from the current–from the new coup regime and in state media, you know, claims that Hamas, they government of Gaza, is sending its members into the Sinai to create havoc, that Palestinians are involved in the pro-Morsi protests and are attacking people, which is false…
And it’s all an attempt to portray the Brotherhood in what is really Islamophobic terms as a terrorist group.”
Aside from reminding everyone of his sympathies for the Brotherhood, Max Blumenthal is echoing the Islamist use of “Islamophobia” against other Muslims. It’s arguably Takfiri rhetoric that we’re seeing from groups such as CAIR filtering into the rhetoric of their left allies.
Then Max Blumenthal, being the crazy bigot that he is, tried to predictably blame the whole thing on the Jews.
So Netanyahu’s been on the phone with Obama and members of his administration, demanding that he not withhold aid or withdraw aid to Egypt, even though it doesn’t really doesn’t matter at this point strategically for Egypt, because they have such large commitments from the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, as you mentioned. And a columnist for The Jewish Daily Forward, J. J. Goldberg, put it in really crude terms yesterday when he said on Twitter that the U.S. shouldn’t withhold the aid to Egypt because it’s bad for the Jews. I mean, that’s sort of dangerous language.
This was part of the toxic waste coming to Hillary through the Blumenthal pipeline. It would be interested to consider what impact this had on our foreign policy.
