Austria Will Pay Migrants €500 Each To Go Home, Wants Citizen Militia to Patrol Border

by Oliver JJ Lane

Migrants who find Europe not to be the land of milk and honey they expected will be able to receive repatriation assistance from the Austrian government from this year. The development is part of a package of changes which the government in Vienna hopes will help them hit a new target of 50,00 migrants leaving the country by 2019.
While the announcment has been reported sensationally as 50,000 deportations, it seems many of the newly arrived migrants will go voluntarily, with a  bumper load of government pocket money to see them on their way. The full €500 will only be available if the migrant makes the decision to go quickly, and before the government rules on their asylum case. The government will also place adverts in media in migrant-origin countires and on social media in migrant languages telling them to stay at home, reports Kronen Zeitung.
The rising pace of removals is a step-change for Austria, but not an entirely new policy.
Interior minister  Johanna Mikl-Leitner said Austria already had one of the highest levels for deportations in Europe, but “we will further increase out success rate”. Austria deported 8,365 in 2015, a number that will rise to 12,500 in 2016 to meet the obligations by the plan.
Re-assessing the global security picture, Austria will also be expanding their list of safe countries to which they can easily send back migrants, and from where no asylum applications will now be accepted. Inidividuals from Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Georgia, Mongolai and Ghana, will from now on have to seek asylum elsewhere, or go home — Austria will not accept their claims.
The agreement on the new plan has been reached between the interior ministry, foreign ministry, and defence ministry who will be flying many migrants home in military aircraft. There are also questions being raised over the future involvement of the Austrian army in border patrols, reports OE24, which quotes minister Hanspeter Doskozil who raises the prospect not only of putting soldiers on the borders, but of raising citizens militias to patrol.
On the urgent need to raise volunteer groups to patrol the border to make up for the over-stretched army, Mr. said: “We now need to prepare as soon as possible. Time is running out”.
Austria is not the first country to offer repatriation assistance to unwanted migrants. It was Conservative party policy in the United Kingdom in the 1970s, and Norway presently offers a similar programme. Migrants who find the frozen north of Europe to be not to their taste can apply for a government grant to get them home again. Worth $10,000 per family, plus free plane tickets, the Norwegian government calculates paying migrants to go away is cheaper in the long run than keeping them on benefits and other social support packages.

Merkel Deputy: Surging Anti Mass Migration Party Should Be ‘Monitored’ By Govt

by Raheem Kassam

Germany’s vice chancellor called on Sunday for the surging Eurosceptic political party – Alternative fur Deutschland (AfD) – to be put under observation by the government agency that tracks extremists. Sigmar Gabriel made his announcement to the Bild newspaper on Sunday, claiming that after AfD’s leader suggested police be allowed to shoot refugees trying to enter the country, he felt it necessary for the country’s “democratic order”. The news has sent shockwaves through German politics, perhaps due to perceived similarities to the 1933 Enabling Act, which abolished all political parties in Germany except the Nazi Party. It is also broadly reflective of attempts made by dictators across the Middle East and North Africa – a region which Chancellor Angela Merkel has become increasingly sympathetic towards in recent months.
Mr. Gabriel told Bild: “there is massive doubt that (the Alternative for Germany party) stand by the free democratic order of the republic.”
Frauke Petry, the head of AfD, told the Mannheimer Morgen daily on Saturday that a border police officer “must stop illegal border crossings, and also make use of his firearm if necessary.” Pushed by the newspaper for more, she continued that “no policeman wants to fire on a refugee and I don’t want that either. But the last resort includes the use of armed force.”
Recently, AfD has been climbing steadily in the polls, reaching 13 per cent to the ruling coalition’s 32 per cent. While not an immediate governing threat, these numbers could give AfD around 70 seats in Germany’s Bundestag (parliament) at Federal Elections in May due to the mixed member proportional representation system.
If there were the same system in Britain, it would have left UKIP with around 80 seats at the last general election – a threat that the establishment could never allow, hence the two-party fealty to Britain’s First Past the Post system.
But Mrs. Merkel’s CDU/CSU coalition doesn’t have this luxury, and a crackdown on AfD is likely as a result.
Recently, constitutional law experts in Germany have claimed that Mrs. Merkel’s open borders policy actually runs contrary to the constitution of Germany, leading anti-Islamisation groups like PEGIDA, and indeed supporters of AfD, to quote Article 20, section 4 of the document, which states: “All Germans shall have the right to resist any person seeking to abolish this constitutional order, if no other remedy is available”.
Germany has so far seen an influx of over 1.1 million migrants since January 1st 2015. The New Year’s sex attacks in Cologne have precipitated a downward slide in the polls for Angela Merkel’s government. Recently, a leading psychoanalyst in the country described her behaviour as “completely irrational” and said that her migrant policy is evidence of a potential “mental breakdown” that endangers society.

Eurocrats: No Connection Between Migrants Raping Women and Migration Crisis

by Daniel Greenfield

Also there's no connection between cars and traffic. Not a one.
The European Commission will be the "voice of reason" and tell the public that there is no link between the migration crisis affecting the continent and attacks on women in Germany, internal minutes disclose, amid growing fears of a “xenophobic” backlash.
The interior ministry, days after the attacks, said that “people with a migration background were almost exclusively responsible for the criminal acts”.
One perpetrator is alleged to have told police he was Syrian, adding: “You have to treat me kindly. Mrs Merkel invited me.”
So you see... no connection.
Now Eurocrats think there's a connection between any criticism of the migrant invasion and supposed attacks on migrants. Even when some of the attacks, such as some of the fires, were actually started by migrants. Yet there's no connection between migrants and migrant crime.
Also there's no connection between Eurocrats lying to the people and the people hating Eurocrats.

“As far as the crimes in Cologne were concerned, he said that these were a matter of public order and were not related to the refugee crisis,” the minutes say.
All crimes are a matter of public order. But if you fill your countries with the people least likely to be "orderly", then your migration crisis creates a public order crisis.
During the discussion that followed, Mr Juncker’s team stressed “the importance of the Commission's continuing to play its coordinating role and sounding the voice of reason to defuse tensions and counter populist rhetoric.”
They called for “the unconditional rejection of false associations between certain criminal acts, such as the attacks on women in Cologne on New Year's Eve, and the mass influx of refugees.”
At the same time, they agreed that they must “respond to the concerns of European citizens, particularly by stressing that Europe was also a union of security and values."
Actually it's a union where security plays second fiddle to values. And those values require the destruction of Europe to save European values. Or rather, Eurocratic values.

Muslims Protest to Support UK Girl's Rapists

by Daniel Greenfield

They're not actually carrying out the rapes. They're just protesting in support of the rapists. That's the standard we use to distinguish "extremists" from "moderates". Isn't it?
But this is a story of an Eid celebration that ended in the traditional fashion with a brutal assault on non-Muslims by the migrants who came over to enrich Europe's diversity with muggings and rapes.
Three Somali men who gang-raped a white 16-year-old girl in the bathroom of a hotel where they went to celebrate Eid have been jailed for 30 years.
The Somali Muslim migrant community in the UK of course condemned this disgusting crime. And by "disgusting crime", I mean sending Muslims to jail for raping a woman. And a non-Muslim woman at that. Without the word of four Muslim witnesses.
In dramatic scenes outside the courtroom around 60 members of Manchester's Somalian community protested against the verdicts suggesting the three men were being 'victimised' because of their race, while the victim was a white Brit.
They managed to pile into the public gallery and gasped as the sentences were handed down - while Yussuf flicked a middle finger at the mother of their victim, who was present.
Lovely people. We should bring more of them in. Millions of them preferably.

Ahmed, who was convicted of oral rape, was locked up for nine years whilst Osman got 12 years after being convicted of an unrelated robbery in which he mugged an innocent man on the street for his rings and mobile phone was also taken into account.
The three Muslim Somali rapists have tried to blame the victim. But was the man Osman mugged also leading him on? This is part and parcel of the Islamic attitude to women and non-Muslims.
Judge David Hernandez criticised the group’s attitudes to women and lack of remorse for their innocent victim.
I wonder which prophet, who liked to rape women, they could have gotten it from?

Merkel: Syrian and Iraqi refugees must go home when wars are over

By Rick Moran

Under growing pressure to resign, German Chancellor Angela Merkel is proposing that Syrian and Iraqi refugees who were welcomed with open arms just a few months ago, will now have to leave Germany and return home when the wars in those countries are over.
Daily Caller:
“We need … to say to people that this is a temporary residential status and we expect that once there is peace in Syria again, once [ISIS] as been defeated in Iraq, that you go back to your home country with the knowledge that you have gained,” Merkel told a meeting of her Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party on Saturday, according to Reuters. Merkel likened the situation to the arrival of refugees from war-torn Yugoslavia in the 1990s. About 70 percent of those refugees returned home when the war ended, she said.
Despite being in charge of the conservative CDU, Merkel has been one of the most aggressive European leaders when it comes to welcoming migrants and asylum seekers from countries such as Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan. An astonishing 1.1 million migrants arrived in Germany in 2015. Recently, scandal has erupted after the revelation that police in Cologne initially covered up a wave of organized, migrant-related thefts and sexual assaults during New Year’s Eve celebrations.
The German public is increasingly dissatisfied, with a recent poll showing 40 percent of Germans wanted her to resign over her refugee policy. It’s also causing division within Merkel’s own party, with the leader of its sister Christian Social Union (CSU) party threatening to sue the government if doesn’t act to stem the rush of migrants.
Donald Trump is excoriated world wide for proposing that illegal immigrants should be sent home while Merkel is proposing something similar? Will she become the target of open borders advocates too?
The Balkan refugee situation is not analogous  to refugees from the Middle East returning home. It was but a short distance for Balkan refugees to return - a home where war damage was limited. The Middle Eastern refugees must travel thousands of miles and return home to a country devastated by a long war. It is extremely doubtful that refugees from Syria and Iraq would want to trade their comfortable life in Germany for the misery of trying to rebuild.
Each new incident of violence by refugees causes Merkel's numbers to plummet. At this rate, she may not survive in office in 2016, becoming a casualty of good intentions gone bad.

Refugee Turned Social Worker: What Happened In Cologne Is Happening ‘EVERY DAY’

by Raheem Kassam

A famous German social worker has broken his silence on sexual abuse and theft committed by migrants in Germany, going so far as to say that what happened in Cologne on New Year’s Eve is happening in German towns every day. Ercan Yasaroglu (54), a social worker who also runs Café Kotti – a hub of “freedom, tolerance, and equality” in Berlin – has said that gangs of North African men are trafficking drugs and engaging in violent, sexual behaviour against the women of his city.
Mr. Yasaroglu is perhaps the last person you might expect to speak out on the issue. An avowed left-wing campaigner and a refugee himself in the 1980s, he once described his Cafe as  “like a living room… A meeting place for people from all around the world to interact, discuss and feel comfortable.”
But following the Cologne attacks, Mr. Yasaroglu has found it important to step into the debate on Germany’s open borders, telling Focus magazine that 70 percent of migrants are engaging in drug abuse, theft and violence.
Once it gets dark,” he says, “drugs are sold and passers by are robbed. They act in groups, stalking their victims, for example, at an ATM [cash machine]. A popular distraction trick is where they hug someone, and after, you are missing your wallet.
“Meanwhile, there are also these sexual assaults. Girls who are surrounded and groped.”
When asked who the perpetrators of such crimes are, he responds: “Young guys from North African countries, the same clientele as in Cologne”.
“Refugees?” he is asked.
“This has nothing to do with refugees. In my opinion, this a system that is organised, at least in Berlin, by criminal, ethnic Arab gangs… Of course, there are also refugees in the new members. But they recruit among all migrants.”
Mr. Yasaroglu – who fled Turkey in 1982 – says that no one is willing to “open his mouth” on the issue.
“We always wanted to be politically correct,” he laments, before adding: “That is why we have not screamed loud enough.”
“No one has dared to say what it is. That is why we also carry the blame for what has happened and what is happening here and in Cologne every day. But you know the saddest thing? Ultimately, we have achieved exactly the opposite of what we wanted to achieve. Our false consideration has damaged the welcoming culture.”
He says that not all refugees and migrants should be portrayed as criminals, but that it is the fault of German state policy, as well as the police, for allowing criminality to flourish, and therefore allowing such attitudes to prevail.
“Migrants must not be a taboo subject,” he says.
When asked about his views on religion, the coffee shop owner replies: “I am an atheist and have no reason to defend Islam, but I think that it is not related to religion.
“Of course, in many Muslim countries in the world, men are strictly separated from the world of women. But respect for a woman is taught both in the family and in religious education.” He cites his experience, being brought up by an Islamic scholar grandfather, who he said would never mistreat women.
But he notes that in Muslim countries, “the men are treated, while children, like princes, and coddled. This little prince has no limits. This is a societal problem. And we need to address it as a society.” He closes by saying that not all Arabs should be put in the same box.

Woman Goes to Help Muslim Refugees, Gets Spit on for Being Jewish

by Daniel Greenfield

Sadly some people have to get "mugged" before they come to terms with reality. And the reality is that Islamic is anti-Semitic, not to mention anti-Christian, anti-Hindu and anti everyone who isn't Muslim. Or even the right kind of Muslim. Importing millions of Muslims imports intolerance on a terrifying massive scale.
When Judith G. helped out at a refugee center near Frankfurt last October and identified herself as Jewish, she was spat on and insulted.
German Jews say the case of Judith G., a 33-year-old optician who asked not to be fully named, isn’t isolated and underlines concerns many have about the record arrivals of asylum seekers, largely from Muslim countries in the Middle East.
“Among the refugees, there are a great many people who grew up with hostility toward Israel and conflate these prejudices with hatred toward Jews in general,” Josef Schuster, president of the Central Council of Jews, told Reuters in an interview conducted in October.
Yonatan Shay, a Jewish researcher wearing a Kippa, went to Muslim refugee housing and found swastikas scrawled on the walls. This means that Germany is literally importing Nazis.
"The Jews must get out of the country," the boy says menacingly to Yonatan.
And now even the AJC is talking about it. As are experts on hate.

“Most Middle Eastern and African countries have fostered fervent anti-Semitism,” said Professor Wolfgang Bock, an expert on national security at the Federal Academy for Security Policy. “A large part of the Muslims living in European nations harbor deep-seated anti-Semitism as well.”
A report in Tuesday’s Die Welt, a leading German newspaper, indicated that anti-Semitic graffiti was seen by a visitor to Berlin’s Tempelhof airport, which is now being used to house refugees seeking asylum in Germany.
This is an issue that won't go away.
Following the warnings of growing anti-Semitism on the occasion of Holocaust Memorial Day and reports of anti-Semitic graffiti in a Berlin refugee camp, the American Jewish Committee urges the federal government to take immediate measures. A first step could be the establishment of a National Democracy Summit in April.
"The question of democratic values and anti-Semitism prevention needs to be placed on the agenda. Political top representatives from federal, state and local authorities have to take measures on the way to allow a successful integration of refugees. It's five minutes to midnight, but not yet too late, "said Deidre Berger, director of AJC Berlin.
A summit won't fix anything. Ending open borders for bigots will.

German paper uses Nazi language to blame Israel for Palestinian terrorism

An article in the Munich-based Süddeutsche Zeitung (SZ) has been accused of mimicking Nazi rhetoric by placing the blame for Palestinian terrorism squarely on Israel’s shoulders.

Titled, “Israel suffers for its cycle of revenge,” an article last week by the newspaper’s Israel-based correspondent, Peter Münch, quoted from an interview with Said Zidani, a Palestinian philosophy professor at Al-Quds University in Jerusalem, in which he said Palestinians murder Israelis not only out of “desperation but [as] an act of resistance...”

According to the article, Zidani’s remarks did not amount to justifying the violence.

Experts on anti-Semitism thought differently.

“Such headlines project classical anti-Jewish stereotypes onto the Jewish state,” Prof. Monika Schwarz-Friesel told The Jerusalem Post on Thursday. Schwarz-Friesel has made an exhaustive study of anti-Semitic language in Germany. The SZ article uses emotional, anti-Jewish language from the Hitler movement to influence its readers, she said.

“The stereotype of Jewish revenge/vengefulness is an age-old Judeophobia concept that was articulated by the National Socialists,” she said. Schwarz-Friesel cited the infamous 1943 Posen speeches of SS head Heinrich Himmler calling for the extermination of European Jews. In addition to his call to murder all Jewish adults, Himmler urged the elimination of Jewish children to prevent them from seeking vengeance.

This is how Himmler’s quote went: “I did not consider myself justified to exterminate the men – in other words, to kill them or have them killed and allow the avengers of our sons and grandsons in the form of their children to grow up.

“The difficult decision had to be made to have this people disappear from the earth.”

Schwarz-Friesel, a professor of linguistics at the Technical University of Berlin, said the key question is: “Why does a German newspaper’s editorial office continue to consistently have the potential to evoke anti-Semitic thoughts and feelings in its headlines and articles regarding Israel and remain unfazed by all criticism of the rhetoric?”

Rabbi Abraham Cooper, associate dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, told the Post that the center “protested about the Mark Zuckerberg cartoon [in SZ in 2014]. Their tepid response failed to convince me that they were unaware that the grotesque use of Nazi-like animalization was obviously inappropriate and never should have seen the light of day.

“Only a biased moron would characterize Israel’s desperate efforts to protect pregnant mothers, children and the elderly from knife-wielding Palestinian terrorists as a ‘cycle of revenge,’” Cooper said.

SZ published a cartoon of Facebook owner Zuckerberg as an octopus with a large nose gobbling up the world. The cartoon was widely condemned as anti-Semitic. The artist, Burkhard Mohr, said at the time that “anti-Semitism and racism are ideologies which are totally foreign to me,” and that he was not aware that the presentation of Zuckerberg could be a problem, “because he had not viewed Zuckerberg as a Jew.”

Dr. Matthias Küntzel, a Hamburg-based political scientist who has written extensively on modern German anti-Semitism, told the Post, “The SZ headline not only calls into question Israel’s right to self-defense but at the same time uses the anti-Semitic stereotype of the ‘vengeful’ Jew, who allegedly is driven by irrational and archaic motives.”

Dr. Charles Small, a New York-based academic who oversees the Institute for the Study of Global Anti-Semitism and Policy, said in an interview, “It is disheartening to see SZ increasingly promote anti-Semitic tropes. The latest trend is to minimize and justify Palestinian terrorism against Jews, as an expected result of the conflict. In addition, to blame the prime minister of Israel for the supposed migration of citizens of Israel, is not substantiated by facts and reflects a bias against the Jewish state.

“It is especially negligent when millions of refugees have been create in neighboring Syria and where hundreds of thousands have been massacred in a horrific protracted conflict. The irrational focus on Israel is, therefore, all the more irresponsible for journalists,” Small said.

Small’s Institute, which runs programs at Oxford University in the UK and at universities in Paris, Canada, the United States and Italy, added that “in addition the SZ has published classical forms of hatred through cartoons demonizing accomplished Jewish citizens, and modern variations targeting Israel’s policies. Taking this ‘culture’ of SZ into account, it is sadly unsurprising that SZ refuses to publish a full correction of its false and hateful reporting.”

In 2013, SZ ran a caricature of Israel as a demonic monster. A young woman is depicted serving food to the monster with horns and holding a carving knife. The caption reads: “Germany at your service. For decades, Israel has been provided with weapons, partly free of charge. Israel’s enemies consider the country to be a voracious Moloch.”

Germany's Press Council said the cartoon violated the council’s press code against discrimination. Peter Enno Tiarks, chairman of the complaints office at the press council, said at the time that the cartoon was “discriminatory and contributes to prejudices against Israel and Jews.” Franziska Augstein, the SZ editor responsible for the placement of the monster cartoon, attempted to block a complaint filed by the American Jewish Committee with the Press Council. SZ wrote that the cartoon had "nothing to do with anti-Semitic clichés,” but added that as “the photo led to misunderstandings, it would have been better to have chosen a different photo.”

Deidre Berger, the head of the Berlin-based office of the AJC, told the Post on Friday, “In the midst of a prolonged wave of terrorism against Israeli citizens, the Süddeutsche Zeitung ascribes one-sided blame for the ongoing attacks against Israeli civilians to Israel. Instead of labeling the violence clearly as terrorism, the attacks are trivialized by equating them to Israeli responses to the terror.

"The article lacks journalistic balance, relying on assertions that reverse the context of the terrorist attacks, depicting Palestinians and Israeli-Arabs as victims instead of as perpetrators.  The quotations and examples used create imagery of an unending circle of violence driven by alleged Israeli motives for revenge. Imputing motives of revenge to Israeli counterterrorism efforts to stop the violence is a dangerous allegation: One of the oldest anti-Semitic stereotypes is the assertion that Jews have an innate lust for revenge. It is a perilous myth to ascribe revenge as a national characteristic. Instead, we should be looking at Israel as one of the front-line nations countering terrorism to defend our common core Western values,” said Berger.

Samuel Salzborn, a leading expert on anti-Semitism at the University of Göttingen in Lower Saxony, told the Post that SZ has reversed cause and effect by “playing down Palestinian terrorism and giving Israel partial responsibility for this anti-Semitic terrorism.” He added that the “old anti-Semitic motive that Jews are to be blamed for their persecution because of their behavior is carried over onto Israel as a Jewish state, and therefore the victim is turned into a perpetrator.”

Some German Jews have canceled their SZ subscriptions over the years because of its alleged contemporary anti-Semitism.

Grigori Pantijelew, the deputy head of the Bremen Jewish community, told the Post he canceled his subscription after a failed effort to explain the slanted anti-Israel coverage to the SZ editors.

Pantijelew, who runs workshops on modern anti-Semitism in Germany, wrote an exhaustive analysis of the anti-Israel “manipulation and one-sided articles” of the late historian Tony Judt in SZ.

“I see a clear position of SZ that does not seek friendship but rather seeks hostility between Jews and Germans. I deplore that. However, I am more concerned about the SZ readership which tolerates the position of the SZ editors. I am sorry about the people who read the SZ and do not protest against it."

Lala Süsskind, the former head of the Berlin's 10,000-member Jewish community, termed the paper's coverage “very tendentious,” because it “shows Israel as always bad.”

Reinhard Schramm, the chairman of the Jewish community in Thuringia state, said the SZ headline “promotes anti-Semitism and is, above all, false and insulting.”

SZ stories prompted one of the first protests of Shoah survivors against post-Holocaust lethal anti-Semitism in 1949.

The paper published a letter to the editor in 1949 by Adolf Bleibtreu, a pseudonym, in which he said the Americans now have deal with Jews and claimed the Americans told him there is regret “that we did not gas all of them [Jews]....” A photograph from the protest shows the Holocaust survivors holding a banner reading, “Down with the Stürmer of 1949. The Süddeutsche Zeitung.” Der Stürmer was a leading Nazi newspaper that dehumanized Jews with its anti-Semitic cartoons and articles.

In a telephone interview on Friday with the Post, Torsten Weber, the chairman of the German-Israeli Friendship Society (DIG) in Munich, said SZ’s recent anti-Israel headline is unsurprising because it is “one case of many.” He sees “frequent anti-Semitic connotations” in the paper’s coverage but said SZ does not have an anti-Semitic policy. In the case of the Peter Münch article, Weber said DIG views the headline as “an anti-Semitic stereotype.”

Ulrich Werner Grimm, the executive director of Society for Christian-Jewish Cooperation in Berlin, told in the Post in his capacity as a private person not representing the society, that “the headline suggests the Old Testament ‘God of Revenge,’ which is a classic component of an anti-Jewish/anti-Semitic bias pattern. The headline give the following article an anti-Semitic/anti-Israel tendency that is not found in the content of the article.”

SZ is the largest broad-sheet daily in Germany, with a paid daily circulation in the last quarter of 2015 of 367,924. Post email and telephone queries to SZ editors-in-chief Wolfgang Krach and Kurt Kister seeking comment about the allegations of anti-Semitism were not returned. Julia Bönisch, a deputy SZ editor, declined to answer Post queries. Email queries to Peter Münch via SZ were not answered.  Senior SZ editors Stefan Kornelius and Peter Lindner declined to respond to Post email queries.

60% of French Oppose Muslim Refugees

by Daniel Greenfield

Killing and sexually assaulting a lot of people didn't do wonders for the approval ratings of Muslim migrants. The French have decided to say non to flooding their country with more heavily armed "widows and orphans".
French public opinion shifted against welcoming refugees to France after terrorist attacks in November, a poll showed Wednesday, ending a brief stretch during which pro and con opinions on the issue were roughly matched.
The Ifop poll for Atlantico, which was conducted online in January after the attacks in Paris and mass sexual assaults on New Year’s Eve in Cologne, showed that 60 percent of respondents opposed welcoming refugees, versus 40 percent who were in favor.
The question is what exactly are those 40 percent thinking? Technically this is a return to the pre-existing consensus. Opposition was as high as 68 to 32 percent last year. Media propaganda presumably evened it out. The graph shows that the media's Kurdi photo spamming seems to have done the trick. Then it seems to have rebounded again in November.
Among the Socialist Party, support is at 71 to 29. Among the Left Front, it's a more even 57 to 43. Among Republicans (the French variety, which used to be UMP) opposition is at 71 to 29. That's huge and  a mirror image of the Socialist Party.
Among the National Front, it's 97 to 3 in favor.
There's no gender gap. Not surprising after Cologne. Curiously the age gap is fairly mild too. The highest level of support is among French people who are 65 and over. That's an interesting phenomenon.

The highest level of support is in the Paris metro area where the split is 45 in favor to 55 opposed. When you consider the sizable Muslim population in the area, it's possible that the gap between Paris and the rural areas might not be too high.
Opposition in rural areas is 67 to 33. (The French are like us in that way.)
Hollande voters support more Muslim migrants 59 to 41.
The poll asks about religion to a limited degree. Practicing Catholics are split, 47 in favor, 53 against. Non-practicing Catholics are 67 opposed to 33 in favor. I suppose this may reflect the official position of Pope Francis. It's a perverse irony that this leads to practicing Catholics signing on to the destruction of Catholicism in France.
Those who hold no religion are opposed 55 to 45.
Members of other religions are in favor 54 to 46. This group would certainly include Muslims, but I don't know whether it includes non-Catholic Christians.

Jewish group in Germany urges action to change Arab refugees’ anti-democratic values

Amid fears that Muslim refugees’ arrival to Germany may cause problems for local Jews, the American Jewish Committee in Berlin called for a national summit on ways to combat anti-democratic values among the newcomers. “It is five minutes before midnight, but not yet too late,” said AJC Berlin director Deidre Berger in statement published Thursday by AJC, in which is calling for holding national summit on strict educational priorities for refugees. Approximately 1 million migrants entered Germany in 2015; more than half have asked for asylum. A majority come from Syria and other Muslim countries. Watchdog groups in France and the Netherlands said immigrants who arrived from the 1950s onward and their descendants are responsible for most violent anti-Semitic incidents today, as well as increases in attacks. Berger’s words echo the concerns of Josef Schuster, head of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, who has asked for reassurances that Chancellor Angela Merkel would take Jewish concerns seriously. Leaders of Jewish communities in Hungary, Austria, the Netherlands and Belgium, among other places, expressed similar concerns while insisting — as has Schuster — they favored magnanimous treatment of refugees. In Germany, the recent release of a video documenting an Israeli religious Jew’s visit to a refugee camp has drawn considerable attention within the Jewish community and beyond to this issue. Yonathan Shay, an intern at AJC in Berlin, filmed for the website of the Die Welt newspaper his visit to the center, documenting several drawings graffiti of anti-Jewish and Nazi symbols drawn together — possibly by residents. “It’s very important for people who didn’t grow up in a democracy to forget what they’ve learned,” he said. Shay faulted Germany for trying to atone for the Holocaust by “accepting all the refugees of the world,” adding that, “Jews will be put in danger if there are so many refugees here” who hate them. Some activists helping refugees, including Israelis and other Jews living in Berlin, criticized Shay’s reportage as designed to provoke, but he said the criticism was because they preferred not to be confronted by his findings.

Finland Sees Spike in Sexual Assaults by "Foreigners"

by Daniel Greenfield

You know when you have a "foreign" crime problem, maybe your country needs fewer "foreigners". As Tundra Tabloids reports, Finland has a serious problem with certain kinds of crimes by "foreigners".
According to Police Director General Seppo Kolehmainen, the growth in the number of asylum seekers can hardly be seen in the crime statistics, instead, in the quantity of emergency responses, to an extent. There has been a lot of emergency responses at reception centers.
An especially a lot of debate has been raised over asylum-seekers suspected of sexual offenses. Last year, 22 asylum-seekers were suspected of sexual harassment, 13 of rape and 12 of aggravated rape and two of forcing a sexual act.
But as we know from Cologne, the authorities can be counted on to hide the numbers inside other numbers.

Foreigners suspected of rape offenses increased last year from the previous year from 180 to 240, says the National Police Board. Foreigners suspected of assaults rose from 3200 to 4000.
I wonder who these "foreigners" are who are running around committing sexual assaults and rapes in Finland. Maybe they're Canadians. Or New Zealanders. Or Syrians and Iraqis and Afghans.

‘Organised Government Failure’: Thousands of Migrants Sue German Government Over Slow Asylum Processing

by Sarkis Zeronian

Thousands of migrants in Germany have been waiting so long for their first asylum processing interview they have taken to the courts to speed up the system, a situation described by critics as “organised government failure”. According to figures from the German Ministry of the Interior, at the end of 2015 some 2,229 ‘failure to act’ cases against the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) were lodged by migrants in the administrative courts in relation to sluggish asylum processing, reports Thüringer Allgemeine.
‘Failure to act’ cases can be lodged against government offices if no decision is made within a reasonable time following a complaint.
The BAMF figures were given in a parliamentary answer to a question asked by Sevim Dağdelen, a German politician of Turkish origin who is a member of the Left Party.
According to the Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for the Interior — Günter Krings — of the total submitted the lion’s share came from four countries: 560 from Afghanistan; 337 from Iraq; a further 217 from Eritrea; and 207 from Syria.
Ms. Dağdelen lays the blame firmly at the door of the German government and the reintroduction of case-by-case assessments for Syrian migrants. She said:
“The federal government imposed increasingly senseless work on the already overworked BAMF, and thereby prolonged the asylum process.
“This is unacceptable and illegal, leading to an increasing number of ‘failure to act’ cases, which means extra work again. This is organised government failure.”
In its defence the Ministry of the Interior points to the fact it employed 40 per cent more people last year, and opened 20 new offices. In addition it reformed aspects of asylum processing with efficiency gains meaning more than twice as many decisions were made in 2015 (282 726) as the previous year (128,911).

Three Somalis Jailed for Gang Raping 16 Year Old While Celebrating Eid

by Donna Rachel Edmunds

Three Somali men who gang raped a 16 year old British girl while celebrating Eid have been handed jail terms of between nine and twelve years by a judge at Manchester Crown Court. The court played host to extraordinary scenes as around 60 Mancunian Somalis turned out in support of the gang, insisting they had been victimised because of their race. Muhyadeen Osman, Bilal Ahmed and Mowled Yussuf, all now 20 years old, were found guilty of raping a 16 year old girl at the Victoria Park Hotel in Manchester (pictured), where they were staying with a group of other men to celebrate the Muslim holiday of Eid. They were 17 at the time, the Daily Mail has reported.
The girl was lured to the hotel by one of their friends, Ibrahim Jama, who had met her via Blackberry Messenger. He told her she should come to the hotel to “meet his boys”.
At the hotel the group told her they were playing a game of going into rooms to hide from the porter. Once they found an unlocked room they turned on the girl, taking turns to have sexual relations with her against her wishes.
Yussuf first forced the girl to perform a sex act on him in the bathroom, before Ahmed did the same. Despite the girl repeatedly telling the group that she did not want intercourse, Ahmed then raped her. At that point Osman, who had been standing guard outside, came into the room, moved her to the bed and raped her.
After the attack the group dispersed, leaving her alone. At that point she realised that her mobile phone and cash had also been taken.
Now a university student, the girl said she was still afraid to leave the house and that her academic work had suffered.
Judge David Hernandez said the group had seen the girl as “easy prey” as he handed Yussuf ten years for rape, oral rape and assault by penetration. Ahmed was handed a sentence of nine years for oral rape, while Osman got twelve years as an unconnected mugging in which he stole rings and a mobile phone was also taken into account.
Outside the courtroom a group of around 60 Somalis from Manchester protested the verdicts, insisting that the men had only been found guilty because of their race and the fact that the victim was a white British girl. Piling into the public gallery they gasped as the sentences were read out. Yussuf flicked his middle finger at the mother of the girl.
Pleading on behalf of Osman, lawyer Michael Goldwater : “What these defendants did wrong is allowing themselves to believe this young lady was willing to perform virtually any sex act on all of them, and failing to make an enquiry about her willingness or indeed to care very much one way or the other.
“These were young, immature men who got carried away.”
But Judge Hernandez disagreed, saying during his ruling: “This was a large group of young men in a hotel and the inference is you all saw her as easy prey.
“She didn’t really understand what was on your mind and that is probably because she was a naïve and sexually inexperienced and vulnerable young girl.
“When you were running around that hotel she probably saw this as innocent, childish fun, but it all turned sinister when you got her into the bathroom. She found herself in a situation she was totally unable to control.
“She found herself confronted with demands for sexual activity she did not wish to engage in and did not willingly consent. She had no choice and no opportunity to refuse.”
Jama, who convinced her to perform a sex act on him in an alleyway before leading her to the hotel, was cleared of rape.

Muslim Refugee Rapes 72-Year-Old Woman, Gets to Stay in Europe

by Daniel Greenfield

Who's afraid of a few "orphans"? The 72 year-old women who don't want to be raped by them.
The 72-year-old woman, identified only as Christina F., said: “It was a really hot day and I decided to take my dog for a walk along the Schwechat River, and saw two young men swimming there.”
She said that one of the young men had reached out his hand to her, asking her to help him onto the bank, which she did. She said: “Suddenly, I felt a blow from behind.”
She was grabbed and then pushed to the ground, and the attacker put his hand over her mouth and used his other hand to tear off her clothing.
A friend of the old woman, Hans Vesely, 72, said: “The dog that she had with her was 13 years old and was sadly not up to protecting his mistress from the attack.”
“She is not the same woman anymore. She doesn’t trust being left on her own and does not leave home, and she’s become very weak since the incident,” Vesely said.
The attacker was only caught because he committed another crime after the rape, and was forced to give a DNA sample. The DNA sample provided matched the one found on his elderly victim, and he was arrested.
The teenager, identified only as Wahab M., initially denied the rape, claiming that he was drunk and could not remember what happened. In addition, his friend who was also arrested told police he had not seen anything.
Because at the time he was only 17 years old, Wahab M. was punished by the youth court where the maximum sentence is five years, but because he had no previous convictions and eventually admitted the rape in the face of the DNA evidence, it was reduced to 20 months. The shorter length of sentence means he will not face deportation.
Now if Wahab had done something truly terrible, like be a European who criticizes Muslim migrants, he would be spending years in prison.

Sweden's dream turns to nightmare as migrant crime soars

By Rick Moran

Sweden is one of the most welcoming countries in Europe, taking in more refugees per capita than anyone else.
But residents of at least one small town outside of Gothenburg, Sweden's second largest city, are beginning to regret that open arms policy.
Mölndal is a quiet suburb of 63,000. But in the last year, more than 4,000 refugees - most of them unaccompanied minors from the Middle East and Africa - have set off a crime wave that culminated in the murder of a social worker in a refugee center that has shocked Europe.
Daily Mail:
The murder of social worker Alexandra Mezher at a home for unaccompanied refugees this week has shone the spotlight on the country’s controversial open-door immigration policy.
The 22-year-old’s mother Chimene, who arrived in Sweden as a refugee, claims the country is no longer safe.
Heartbroken Mrs Mezher said: ‘We left Lebanon to escape the civil war, the violence and the danger. We came to Sweden where it was safe, to start a family. But it is not safe anymore.’
Her husband Bourous, 45, moved to Sweden from Beirut in 1989 and built up a pizza business. Mrs Mezher, who has three sons, said: 'She was not just my daughter, she was my angel. She was a just and fair human being. There were so many who loved her. She was my daughter, my friend.'
She blamed Swedish politicians for a dramatic rise in immigration in Molndal – particularly of unaccompanied children.
Officers in Mölndal say they have had to ignore lesser offences such as drug-dealing because they are so overrun by migrant crime, with gang fights and violent assaults.
And in capital Stockholm police this week warned that the capital's main train station was 'overrun' by gangs of Moroccan street children 'stealing and groping girls'.
Swedish police revealed they have sent plain-clothes officers to monitor swimming baths in Stockholm after increased reports of sexual harassment of girls and women.
It was also claimed this week police had been forced to flee after being attacked by a mob of asylum seekers as they tried to relocate a ten-year-old boy amid allegations he had been 'raped repeatedly' at a refugee centre.
And staff at a migrant centre in Sweden had to flee where 19 asylum seekers ran riot with weapons.
Crime statistics in Mölndal also contradict Abdasis’s assessment of ‘peace, happiness, life’ in the town.
Police say they have responded to four or five emergency calls from refugee centres in the Gothenburg area – which includes Mölndal – every day since late October.
The city’s most up-to-date crime figures reveal there were 372 incidents reported which led to 222 criminal complaints linked to migrant centres – between 20 October 2015 and 8 January this year.
Mölndal’s politicians have refused to explain their open-door immigration policy.
Of course they're keeping their mouths shut. The blowback has just begun. Turning once idyllic towns into crime ridden centers of fear and disgust is what happens when young men used to violence in their home countries become refugees taken in by tolerant and open hearted Europeans. It's like the lions lying down with the lambs - except the lambs prove to be too much of a temptation for the lion.
The police in many Swedish cities and towns are absolutely overwhelmed:
I have worked in Gothenburg for over 30 years and I have never known anything like it,’ the officer told MailOnline.
‘I will not let my children go into the city after 2pm and especially not at night.
‘There are violent gangs roaming around the streets and the use of knives and other weapons have become normal, rather than a rarity as it used to be,’
‘There are 20 robberies in Gothenburg every day – usually with violence or the threat of violence.
‘This week an 83-year-old lady had a gun put in her face when she was mugged on her way to play bingo. They got away with just 50 Kroner [about £4].
‘In the summer there were mass shootings with lots of people killed, including a little girl.’
He added the city streets were now at the mercy of gangs of young men mainly from North Africa.
The police source revealed: ‘In the past couple of months we have noticed a dramatic increase in street robbery. This is a new phenomenon.
Most European countries are trying to retroactively restrict immigration, but the flow of refugees is unabated and it appears that more and more cities will suffer the fate of Gotenburg.

72 Year Old Woman Raped By 17 Year Old Migrant… 20 Months In Prison

by Chris Tomlinson

More shocking sex crimes involving underage asylum seekers have been reported in Germany and Austria.  A 17 year old asylum seeker who raped a 72 year old woman was found guilty of rape but will not be deported, and a pair of underage migrants (15 and 17) in Germany were arrested for abusing a 12 year old girl.
In Austria, the 17 year old identified as Wahab M. was found guilty of raping a 72 year old Austrian woman and was sentenced to 20 months in court. Due to Austrian law he will not be deported because his sentence isn’t at least 3 years.
The daughter of the victim was a helper at the large migrant centre in Traiskirchen, just south of Vienna, where the attack took place, according to the Local. Traiskirchen has been host to a large refugee camp for the past few years and has grown considerably since the migrant crisis started.
A friend of the victim, Hans Vesely, himself 72, lamented that although the woman was walking with her dog at the time, the dogs advanced age meant it could not protect the woman. He also said that since the attack , “She is not the same woman anymore. She doesn’t trust being left on her own and does not leave home, and she’s become very weak since the incident.”
Since Wahab admitted to the rape, and alleges to have been a minor at the time, his sentence was reduced to only 20 months making him ineligible for deportation. Significant doubt has been cast in recent weeks as to the ages of “young” asylum seekers and migrants, who realise that they are entitled to more, and are immune from serious prosecution, if they pretend to be younger.
In Germany a horrific case of abuse was revealed in Dusseldorf. Two migrant boys aged 15 and 17, have been taken into custody following allegations of sexual abuse toward a 12 year-old girl in an asylum centre for underage migrant children.
The Express reports the two suspects in this case are said to have abused the young girl on multiple occasions and police say that each tried to blame the other when brought into custody on January 24th.
Officials at the centre told German media that the 12 year old victim was showing “quite striking” behavior that alluded to sexual abuse though no specifics were mentioned. A six year-old boy who is said to have witnessed the abuse was even told by one of the suspects they would “cut his throat” if he spoke to anyone at the centre about it.
Sexual abuse and violence perpetrated by underage migrant boys is reaching epidemic proportions in European countries who have taken huge amounts of migrants. An underage migrant even killed a Swedish asylum worker by stabbing her to death.
This all comes on the heels of the speech by Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, who wants to allow 3000 unvetted minors into Britain.

European Governments Ignoring Security Warnings?

The head of the Norwegian Police Security Service (PST), Benedicte Bjørnland, was recently a participating guest at a security conference in Sweden, where she warned against further Muslim immigration.
One cannot," she said, "assume that new arrivals will automatically adapt to the norms and rules of Norwegian society. Furthermore, new arrivals are not homogenous and can bring ethnic and religious strife with them... If parallel societies, radicalization and extremist environments emerge in the long run," she added, "We will have challenges as a security service."
The changes Bjørnland speaks of -- parallel societies, radicalization and extremist environments -- are nothing new; they have been proliferating throughout Western Europe for years. The Brussels suburb of Molenbeek, which was home to two of the perpetrators of November's terror attacks in Paris, is known as a "terrorist den." Yet the mayor of Molenbeek ignored a list she received, one month prior to the Paris attacks, "with the names and addresses of more than 80 people suspected as Islamic militants living in her area," according to the New York Times. "What was I supposed to do about them? It is not my job to track possible terrorists," Mayor Schepmans said. "That is the responsibility of the federal police."
This statement is, in many ways, symptomatic of the European failure to deal with the security problems that Europe faces. The problem is always supposed to be somebody else's.
Anders Thornberg, the head of the Swedish Security Service (SÄPO), literally begged Swedish society for help: "The Islamist environments have grown considerably in the past five years," he said "and tensions are growing between various population groups. We need all of society to help fight the radicalization, there are limits to how much faster a security service can run."
These are sentiments that are rarely, if ever, voiced by official Norway or Sweden. Apparently, the fear of offending Muslim sensitivities has thus far overridden security concerns. But even Sweden, which sees itself as a "humanitarian superpower," and up until recently had sworn to keep its doors open to all migrants and refugees, has had to reassess its policy. At the end of November 2015, Sweden's Deputy-Prime Minister Asa Romson, reluctantly and in tears, said that the government had been "forced to take reality into account," given the huge number of migrants that entering the country. Sweden (and Denmark) tightened their border controls a few weeks ago.
It is questionable, however, whether the warning cries of the Scandinavian security services will have any noticeable impact on the fundamental political course of their political leaders, especially if the latest statements by Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven are anything to take into account.
In an interview at the World Economic Forum in Davos on January 21, Löfven declared that it was "wrong" to mix up either sexual assaults on European women or the threat of ISIS with the mass migration into Europe: "Sexual harassment is not automatically binding to migration and immigration. We have had sexual harassment in Sweden for many, many years, unfortunately," Löfven told CNBC, thus pretending that the imported Middle Eastern pastime of Taharrush Gamea [collective harassment] of women in Cologne on New Year's Eve, had nothing to do with migrants.
"What it now takes is to be very clear that this is not appropriate, it is absolutely out of line and we need to take a very clear message now to show to these young girls and women they are of course entitled to walk in the city... without sexual harassment," Löfven added. No, the girls and the women are not the ones in need of a "clear message." The men harassing and raping them are -- especially in a country now known as the rape capital of the West.

Ankommen: Germany’s ‘Migrants Welcome’ Smartphone App Neglects To Mention Anything Remotely ‘German’

by Chris Tomlinson

A new smartphone app released by the German government aims to teach new migrants about German culture. But traditional German customs seem noticeably absent and newcomers are taught Germany is a “land of immigration”. Ankommen or “Arrive” is available for Android and iOS in Arabic, English, Farsi, French and German, and is the first official government app for migrants.
Project coordinator Heinrich Alt justified the creation of the app by stating that at least 80-90 per cent of the refugees owned smartphones, contrary to what people expect of those fleeing a war zone.
There are case studies in the app which all start with the phrase “Typically German?” which link a quote from various other migrants.
One such example is the hijab wearing Umul from Somalia who thanks Germans for pointing out there was pork in the meat she was buying at the supermarket. None of the people in the “typically German?” cases are native Germans, and throughout the whole app hardly any native Germans make an appearance, giving new migrants the impression that Germany is a country exclusively made up of migrants.
The section on living in Germany provides testimony from two Syrians, two Iraqis, a Somali, a Ukrainian, a Turk, a Greek person, and a Spaniard.
The section on freedom of religion even asserts: “Germany is a country of immigration with a variety of religions,” while the display picture is of the bare feet of a Muslim praying.
There most interesting section is on “social interactions with women” that seems appropriate after the New Year’s Eve sex attacks in Cologne and migrant attitudes like the migrant who told a woman “German women are just for sex”.
The section tells migrants that “no means no” and that, “women can go into town alone if they want,” and, “a woman may talk to men and dance and laugh with them – but that does not automatically mean that she is interested in anything more than that.”
Speaking on German women’s clothing is says, “Short skirts, high heeled shoes and make-up are most often worn for fashion reasons. Men must not misinterpret a woman’s clothing style as an invitation.”
The article also says  “A woman is allowed to say ‘no’ ” to any man’s sexual advances. It will remain to be seen whether or not this education will have much impact on the widespread cases of sexual assault across Germany and Austria that has been going on in asylum centres and public swimming pools.
Another part of the app is titled “we are all equal” with a background picture of what appears to be a man with his arm around another man. This article tells migrants that they should be encouraged to tell police if they feel discriminated against and gives them a few telephone numbers to contact the authorities.
Along with teaching some very basic German phrases, describing the asylum process and the needlessly complicated German waste collection system, the app paints a picture of a diverse Germany of immigrants, multiple religions, the system of government, and the welfare state. But perhaps it’s more important what the app seems to leave out: the Germans.

CONFIRMED: Daily Mail Article BLOCKED In Sweden Due To Migrant Murder Court Case

by Raheem Kassam

An article on website of the Daily Mail newspaper (Mail Online) is being blocked in Sweden after the news outlet cast doubts on the age of the alleged migrant attacker currently on trial in the country following the stabbing of a 22-year-old asylum centre worker. Earlier this week the Mail Online reported that the family of the deceased 22-year-old Alexandra Mezher had revealed that she told them before her death that some of the ages of the so-called “child” migrants in the asylum centre were suspicious to her. She said she was dealing with “big powerful guys” aged up to 24 years old.

Swedish web users are met with the following link
The news article has now been blocked voluntarily by the Daily Mail following “legal advice”, Breitbart London can confirm.
A source at the newspaper told Breitbart London this evening that the reporting on the article and the website were both fine, but that in Sweden alone the paper has had to take action “to avoid prejudicing” ongoing legal proceedings concerning the alleged murderer.
The source said the Mail Online “have to have a block” on “one article”.
But Mail Online readers in Sweden are reporting blackouts on several different stories, and a Swedish website reports:
“The murder suspect, Somali, claims he is only 15 years old, but the Daily Mail articles portrayed him as much older than that. One of the articles was blocked also contains an interview with a Swedish policeman who openly talks about an “explosion of crime” in the immigration track. The officer has worked as a police officer for 30 years and says that the situation in Sweden today is markedly different to how it looked in the 80th century.
“During the week, the Daily Mail flew a journalist team from Great Britain into Göteborg to monitor the ongoing lawsuit against the applicant Somali. The British journalists have written numerous articles about the murder.”
Miss Mezher, 22, was rushed to a nearby hospital after being stabbed repeatedly earlier this week.
Swedish police initially refused to comment on the identity of the man, a resident of the asylum centre in Mölndal catering for unaccompanied minors aged 14-17.
The Mail Online is one of the largest news outlets in the world.

EU on brink: Germany's biggest bank records shock losses risking economic RUIN of Eurozone

GERMANY could force the European Union into ruin after Deutsche Bank's share price plunged following the country's biggest lender's first annual loss since the financial crisis. The German lender posted a full year loss of £5.1 billion (€6.8bn) on Thursday - higher than the expected €6.7bn million. With losses of €2.1bn in the fourth quarter of 2015-16, fears of the entire eurozone toppling are becoming an increasing reality. Germany, which has a GDP of $3.4bn is one of the six largest economies in the world and the fate of the eurozone relies heavily on its strong economy. But it is facing the most difficult start to a year in recent memory. Its own industrial production growth has slipped to ZERO per cent and customer confidence has plummeted in a catalogue of disasters for Chancellor Angela Merkel.Much of Deutsche's losses have been down to litigation charges, racking up €1.2bn in the last quarter - which could still increase. This year's litigation charges have reached €5.2bn, compared with €2bn the year before. A reduction in the bank's corporate banking and securities division has been blamed on revenues in the fourth quarter falling 15 per cent year on year to €6.6bn. Mark to market losses in Deutsche's non-core operating unit were also blamed. The bank took a hit in early trading as its share price dropped 1.5 per cent, despite investors being pre-warned it would be bad news following share prices falling drastically over the last year. Deutsche Bank shares have declined 24 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined 36 percent in the last 12 months. Deutsche's fall in grace adds to Germany's seemingly never-ending woes this year, with the country's industrial production growth slipping to zero per cent last week and customer confidence plummeting. As the biggest economy in the eurozone, with a GDP of $3.4bn, experts have warned if its economy - along with second biggest eurozone economy France - crashes it would trigger a domino effect which would bring the entire currency crashing down causing a detrimental ripple effect on the global economy. Last week, under pressure German chancellor Angela Merkel admitted Germany may fail to balance its books this year as it contends with the costs of letting in more than a million refugees in a bid to relieve the current crisis across Europe. There is concern the eurozone is over-reliant on the economy of the relative powerhouse of Germany. Andy Baldwin, EY’s Global Financial Services Leader, says: “The apparent reliance of the Eurozone on the German economy, bolstered by its strong banking system, is more pronounced than many would expect. "The short term health of economies including France, Italy and Spain, is dependent on the continued growth of the German economy – a major component of which is the further strengthening of its banking sector."Investors claims France's economy, which recently entered a 'state of emergency' could act as a drag on the overall health of Europe. Only two per cent of investors claim that French banks have the best prospects for growth. Mr Baldwin added: "It is clear that for a sustained return to economic health in Europe, growth needs to be more evenly spread across the continent." In a bid to patch up some of Deutsche Bank's central issues, the lender is now restructuring. At the beginning of the week it revealed bonuses could be slashed by as much as 30 per cent for staff, including investment bankers. And it warned up to 1,000 jobs in London could be at risk if it scaled back its investment banking sector.Co-chief executive, John Cryan, said: "In 2015 we made considerable progress on the implementation of our strategy. "The much-needed decisions we took in the second half of the year contributed to a net loss for the fourth quarter and full year."He added: "We are focused on 2016 and continue to work hard to clear up our legacy issues. Restructuring work and investment in our platform will continue throughout the year. "We know that periods of restructuring can be challenging. However, I'm confident that by continuing to implement our strategy in a disciplined manner, we can and will transform Deutsche Bank into a stronger, more efficient and better run institution." Mr Cryan is set to take over entirely in May, when investors are expecting significant changes to ensure the once almighty bank is back on course.

Future Birmingham Mayor Blames Christians For Domestic Abuse, Says Forced Marriage Not A Problem

 Birmingham Central Mosque

Birmingham Central Mosque Chairman — also a Labour city Councillor and Lord Mayor elect of Britain’s second city — has said that domestic abuse is primarily a Christian problem, because they drink, and claimed that Muslim forced marriage is not a problem. Muhammad Afzal made the comments at a meeting with the Muslim Women’s Network UK, the organisation’s chairwoman, Shaista Gohir MBE, has alleged in a letter of complaint regarding his election.
She slammed him as “dismissive on the issues of forced marriage and domestic violence” and claimed he said that, “domestic violence was happening mainly in the Christian community because they get drunk”.
Adding: “His attitude towards women’s issues make him unfit for positions of authority in which he should be serving all communities”.
Last week it was reported that he had labeled the Prime Minister an “Islamophobe” and called on Muslims to “resist” the government’s “disgraceful” new anti extremism laws, as well as claiming that there was no evidence that British Muslim are going to fight with Islamic State (IS) in Syria.
He subsequently denied making the comments, but a recording released by the Birmingham Mail confirmed he was lying.
In her complaint letter, Ms. Gohir said that she had told Mr. Afzal how her organisation was “regularly receiving calls on forced marriages and that a high percentage of these concerned Muslim women and girls, particularly from Pakistani background.”
However, “Mr. Afzal responded by saying forced marriage was no longer a problem”, she said.
Continuing: “When we pointed out that UK Government Forced Marriage Unit statistics indicated that significant numbers of victims were from the West Midlands, Mr. Afzal responded that the government figures were exaggerated.
“We felt that Mr. Afzal was dismissive as he went on to say that many marriages took place at the mosque, that the couples who got married were happy and that the mosque would know if forced marriages were taking place”.
Later, she said: “He then went on to state that ‘domestic violence was happening mainly in the Christian community because they get drunk’.
“I explained that the problem was also significant in Muslim communities and that women have been murdered as a result. However, Mr. Afzal questioned why he had not heard about these murders in the media if they had taken place.”
“By the end of the conversation it was clear that the trustees, and especially Mr. Afzal, were not interested in women’s issues and had little, if any, intention of working with us on any women’s rights and issues,” she concluded.
As well as making the complaint to the Central Mosque about Mr. Afzal, the group is complaining to the Charities Commission pointing out the mosque has 39 male trustees, but not a single woman.
It was just three weeks ago that Councillor Afzal was selected by Labour Party colleagues to become the next Lord Mayor of Birmingham, a city which is was around 22 per cent Muslim and 27 per cent Asian at the point of the 2011 census.
He notably lost his seat during the fall out from a 2004 postal vote fraud court case, but was later cleared of personal involvement and re-elected to the Council.
After exposing Mr. Afzal as a liar, the Birmingham Mail said that he had “proven himself unfit to be the first citizen of Birmingham”. The latest revelations are only likely to increase calls across the city for Mr. Afzal to stand down.

Muslim Uber driver allegedly slammed passenger’s service dog to pavement, injuring it

By Thomas Lifson

I find it very difficult to celebrate the diversity that Muslims bring to the United States on the matter of dogs. Muslims are taught to hate them. Not in the Koran, but in the Hadith and other sources, as I wrote about here:
From Bukhari Vol. 4, #540
Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar: Allah's Apostle ordered that the dogs should be killed.
From Abu Dawud #2839
Abd Allah B. Mughaffal reported the apostle of Allah as saying: Were dogs not a species of creature I should command that they all be killed; but kill every pure black one.
The Hadith's note for #2839 says, "The prophet did not order the killing of all the dogs, for some are to be retained for hunting and watching. He ordered to kill the jet black ones. They might be more mischievous among them.
From Muslim #3814
Ibn Mughaffal reported: Allah's messenger ordered the killing of dogs and then said, "what is the trouble with them (the people of Medina? How dogs are nuisances to them (the citizens of Medina)? He then permitted keeping of dogs for hunting and (the protection of) herds. ...[and for] for the protection of cultivated land.
From Muslim #Number 055
Ibn Mughaffal reported: The Messenger of Allah ordered killing of the dogs, and then said: What about them, i. e. about other dogs? and then granted concession (to keep) the dog for hunting and the dog for (the security) of the herd, and said: When the dog licks the utensil, wash it seven times, and rub it with earth the eighth time.
From Muslim #3813
Abu Zubair heard Jabir Abdullah saying: Allah's messenger ordered us to kill dogs and we carried out this order so much so that we also killed the dog roaming with a women from the desert. Then Allah's apostle forbade their killing. He said: "It is your duty to kill the jet-black (dog) having two spots (on the eyes) for it is a devil.
You see, Mohammed was a thief, a caravan raider (but it was okay because they were infidels), and dogs guard against thieves in the night.  As a result, man’s best friend is anathema to many Muslims, and this can result in problems when they apply this belief in roles involving contact with the public, especially as drivers of passenger carrying vehicles.  Carol Brown collected a series of such incidents hereherehereherehereherehere, and here
The latest such alleged incident has a particularly nasty turn. Via Pamela Geller and iOTW Report, we learn from Maya Rajanami of DNA Info:

An Uber driver viciously slammed a passenger’s service dog onto the ground after telling her she couldn’t have the pooch in his car — leaving the animal with a dislocated hip and an injured knee that required surgery, police said.
The 30-year-old Manhattan resident had gotten into the cab with her Silky Terrier in front of 1755 Broadway, near West 56th Street, on Jan. 21 around 7:30 p.m., the NYPD said.
When driver Muhammad Qayyum, 23, saw the pup, he told her, “I will not take your dog in my car,” police said.
After Qayyum, from Queens, refused to drive the woman and her pooch, he got out of the car, went to the right back passenger seat and grabbed the dog’s leash from the woman’s hand, the NYPD said.
Qayyum used the leash to yank the dog out of her lap and threw the animal to the ground, according to a complaint filed with the Manhattan District Attorney’s office.
Qayyaum has denied all the charges.  Oh, and (surprise!) he is charging racism:
The driver claimed that after the woman refused to show documents proving the terrier was a service animal, she made “racist, religiously disparaging slurs” and punched him in the face several times, the spokeswoman explained.
Uber requires drivers to carry service animals. It is also investigating the incident.
For some reason, in the wake of 9-11, the United States has been importing Muslims at an unprecedented rate. There are those who celebrate the diversity they bring. But I doubt that many dogs do.
