Italy: Muslim Mother Shaves Head of Daughter Who Refused to Wear Veil

A Muslim mother has shaved the head of her 14-year-old daughter in Bologna, Italy, on learning that the child was taking off her headscarf as soon as she would leave the house.

The eighth-grade girl would reportedly put her headscarf back on just before returning to the family home, but her deception was eventually caught by her mother on Wednesday, who summarily cut off all her hair.
When the girl arrived to school bald on Thursday, her teachers inquired into what had happened, and when she told them, the school principal decided to inform the police, who took the girl into custody.
Charges of mistreatment and abuse have been brought against the girl’s parents, who are of Bangladeshi origin, and the case has been handed over to the local prosecutor of offenses involving minors, together with the cooperation of social services.
The mayor of Bologna, Virginio Merola, criticized the punishment inflicted on the girl as “unacceptable parental authoritarianism” and warned that “those who come to Italy must follow our laws and our Constitution.”
The Bologna coordinator of the Muslim community, Yassine Lafram, also took the girl’s side in the matter, stating that according to Islamic tradition “any form of coercion makes the act itself invalid.”
All the prescriptions of Islam, from the Ramadan fast to the pilgrimage to Mecca, “are part of a free choice of the person and no one can impose them, religiously speaking,” Lafram said.
At the same time, Lafram said it is necessary “to help the family, including the mother herself, and to understand what motivated her to carry out this act.”
“It’s too easy to condemn her and hand her over to the mediatic slaughterhouse,” he said.

EU Commission president: I'll break up the US unless Trump is more supportive of EU

By Rick Moran

In an extraordinary speech yesterday, EU Commission President Jean-Claude Junker threatened to promote the break up of the United States unless President Trump became more supportive of the EU.
He said: "Brexit isn’t the end. A lot of people would like it that way, even people on another continent where the newly elected US President was happy that the Brexit was taking place and has asked other countries to do the same. If he goes on like that I am going to promote the independence of Ohio and Austin, Texas in the US."

Was Junker drunk? It wouldn't be the first time that speculation about the Luxembourg politician's sobriety became front page news in Europe. Here's a remarkable video of Junker at an EU summit in Latvia slapping world leaders in the face in a rather boisterous display.

There was the scary moment from last June where Junker claimed to have spoken to leaders of other planets.

Perhaps Junker could ask the aliens to help him break up the US.
Junker is a menace and if this is an example of EU leadership, Great Britain was absolutely right to want out.

Swedish Feminists Flee Suburbs Due to Islamic Fundamentalists

Feminists in Stockholm are leaving areas like the notorious migrant-heavy no-go zones of Husby and Tensta because they say religious fundamentalists now rule those suburbs.

Nalin Pekgul is a self-described feminist and former member of parliament for the left wing Swedish Social Democrats. For over 30 years, she lived in the Stockholm suburb of Tensta but says that she no longer feels safe there. She claims Muslim fundamentalists have taken over and she doesn’t feel she can visit the centre of Tensta without being harassed, Swedish broadcaster SVT reports.
According to Ms. Pekgul, the situation for women in public life in the area has deteriorated over the past several years. She noted that there has been a rise in religious fundamentalism amongst the men in the area, many of whom come from migrant backgrounds. Pekgul attempted to combat the trend by organising coffee shop meetings but soon abandoned the idea.
“In Tensta I am a known face and I have no desire to stir up trouble when I get harassed,” Pekgul said explaining why she no longer goes into the centre of the suburb. When asked if she will remain in the suburb, she said: “I always hope that it will blow over. One should never forget that the vast majority here are cursing the fundamentalists.”
Zeliha Dagli, a former Left Party politician, did end up moving from the no-go suburb of Husby. Dagli described Husby as having self-appointed “morality police” who attempt to control women’s behaviour in the area.
Aggression toward feminists, in particular, became an issue she said. “There were rumours that we wanted to take away women’s veils,” she said. “They said that I should keep myself, and then I did not feel so safe anymore.”
Dagli now lives in the inner city area of Stockholm and says she is happier that she can wear or say what she wants without fearing for her safety. She said she would consider returning to Husby, but only if the area became safer for her.
Husby, like the no-go suburb of Rinkeby, is heavily populated by migrants, many of them from countries in Africa and the Middle East and many of them Muslim.  In May of last year, a Norwegian film crew was attacked by a group of locals in Husby while they were attempting to interview Swedish economist and author Tino Sanandaji.
Sanandaji, a Kurdish Iranian immigrant, has been slammed by many in Sweden for his new book Mass Challenge which describes the problems Sweden has faced because of mass migration. One library in Stockholm even refused to stock the book accusing it of being racist.
American filmmaker Ari Horowitz was also attacked in Husby last year during an investigation into Swedish no-go zones.

Video: Migrant Groups Cry ‘Allahu Akhbar’, Clash With Locals, Police

A large group of migrants fought with locals in the German town of Peine, Lower Saxony, throwing stones, damaging cars, and shouting “Allahu Akbar”.

The clash began at around 9 p.m. Wednesday when a group of 10 migrants, some Syrian and some Palestinian, got into a fight. Shortly after the violence began, the police arrived on the scene and most of the perpetrators fled leaving one individual with a head injury who was taken to a nearby hospital.
At around 11 p.m., however, the violence erupted in the area once more when the migrants returned and began to smash the cars of local residents, many of whom are of a foreign background themselves. Around 40 to 50 locals left their houses to confront the mob, who threw rocks at the residents, as cries of “Allahu Akbar” were heard, Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung reports.
Police say the majority of the residents involved had Lebanese, Turkish, or Kurdish origins.
During the chaos, a police car was also hit by rocks thrown by one of the rioters. Police managed to eventually separate the two groups after a large deployment of officers arrived on the scene called in from other departments.
Police say that only one man was arrested for resisting officers’ commands, and authorities have launched an investigation into several cases of bodily harm and property damage.
The case is similar to what happened in the town of Bautzen last year when migrants rampaged through the city only to be confronted by locals. The fight involved around 20 migrants and 80 right wing supporters who shouted slogans at the migrants.
Another fight broke out in Bautzen later in December at a Christmas market, once again between locals and asylum seekers. Police said the two groups came to blows after a heated argument. After they were finished fighting, the migrants caused hundreds of euros of damage to a car.
Mass brawls between migrants have occurred in asylum homes as well, some of which have also been caught on film. One such brawl in Dortmund saw over a dozen migrants attack each other with chairs and other weapons leading to the hospitalisation of several people.

German MEP orders Britain to cut off COMMONWEALTH STATES in latest Brexit demand

A GERMAN MEP is calling on Britain to rescind its relationship with a plethora of Commonwealth states as negotiations continue with Brexit. The MEP is demanding the UK Government cancel all existing tax haven policies, meaning it would have to cut its relationships with key partners in the Commonwealth in an early Brexit demand. Prime Minister Theresa May would have to cut off ties with the Cayman Islands, the British Virgin Islands, Jersey and the Isle of Man if it was to listen to the German MEP. Almost two and a half billion people live in the 52 independent and equal sovereign states which make up the group whose head is Her Majesty The Queen. The states all currently trade with Britain, albeit under existing European Union (EU) rules and regulations. Now Brussels MEPs, led by the German Greens, want the country to commit an act of extreme isolationism in its bid to adhere to its demands. In a statement issued earlier today, MEP Sven Giegold, who was educated in Britain, said the UK must adhere to his demands.Born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, Mr Giegold grew up in Hanover, Lower Saxony and sits on the the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs. He said: "The Greens cannot accept that, post Brexit, the UK maintains such a degree of influence over financial markets legislation in the union. "On the contrary the negotiations present a good opportunity to ensure that the UK does finally end all tax haven policies. "This is in the best interest of Europe as a whole as well as more equality in Britain.” However the questionable demands have been branded excessive by Ukip who say that the attempt to interfere with the UK's strategic relationships is questionable. Ukip MEP Bill Etheridge responded to the letter, saying: "The Greens have no concept of the modern world or the point of wealth creation".Mr Etheridge, who is chairman of the libertarian Indigo Group which promotes low taxes and deregulation, said it was "unacceptable to interfere in the UK's relationships with other countries, including our Commonwealth. "Governments hinder job creation with excessive regulation and it is job creation which gets people out of poverty. "Their financial fantasies have no place in 21st century and would even appear backward at Glastonbury." The Lisbon Treaty does not impose any financial penalties on Britain should it leave the EU without a withdrawal agreement. Accordingly, the UK can actively remove itself from the EU, and it is under no obligation to settle any new financial arrangements. Britain has indicated that the EU will continue to receive funding from its Foreign Aid budget which accounts for 0.7 per cent of its gross national income (GNI).However recent demands from Brussels politicians which laid down additional settlement costs of as much as £50billion plus the £91billion total contribution committed over the next three years have sparked fury. Hedge fund founder and lawyer Christopher O’Donnell told in February that the UK can opt to trade with EU countries using World Trade Organisation tariffs which would even save the country billions from the "Day One Scenario" being contingency planned by civil servants. He said: "Britain is the sixth largest economy in the world and is no backwater minnow that must comply with the erroneous demands of an overbearing unelected big brother or economically starve”. “In addition to London being the financial centre of the world, in 2016 the UK had a trade deficit of approximately £68.7billion with the EU. "If Britain and the EU stop trading with each other, the EU will suffer tremendously more than Britain. "Britain has both the legal and commercial muscle to dictate its exit terms to the EU and it would be jolly good if Britain citizens embraced this.”

Germany Expects 400,000 African Migrants in 2017

The German government expects at least 400,000 African migrants to try and make the voyage to Europe in 2017, according to Federal Development Minister Gerd Müller.

Minister Müller said he is deeply concerned over the rise in migrants crossing from North Africa to Europe so far this year. In the first three months of 2017, the number of migrants has doubled from this period in 2016. Müller warned: “If we calculate this, 300,000 to 400,000 people could arrive in Italy this year,” Die Welt reports.
Last year a record 180,000 migrants crossed the Mediterranean, and many thousands drowned on the way.  According to Müller, Europe needs to adopt a radically different approach to African migration. Along with Defence Minister Ursula von der Leyen, he reaffirmed a joint security agreement with countries in Africa this week.
Defence Minister von der Leyen said: “Without security, there is no development and no development without security and no peace.” Both ministers urged the European Union (EU) to work closer with African nations politically, militarily, and economically.
In January, Müller proposed the bloc should adopt a policy similar to the Marshall Plan which helped rebuild the German economy after the Second World War. He emphasised policies that would cut aid or put sanctions on countries for not taking migrants back, like the proposal backed by German Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere,  could increase the number of people making the trip to Europe.
Last year, Müller warned the migrant crisis had barely begun saying he thought there could be a further eight to 10 million people who would try and come to Europe from the Middle East.
One politician who agrees that the migrant crisis is likely only beginning is President of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani, In a recent interview, Tajani said he thought there could be as many as 30 million more migrants from Africa coming to Europe in the next several years.
Tajani, like Müller, said he thought the EU should be more active in Africa and said EU member states should invest billions into struggling African economies.
The Geneva-based International Labour Organization (ILO) put out a report earlier this year saying the economies of African nations simply couldn’t keep up with their high birth rates which would inevitably lead to many migrating to Europe to find work.

Orban: ‘EU Court of Human Rights Is a Security Threat to Europeans’

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán told the annual congress of the European People’s Party (EPP) that the European Court of Human Rights (EHCR) is a “threat to the security of EU people” and an invitation to migrants. He urged the EPP to advocate for “national pride and Christian identity” or Europe will have a Muslim majority within a generation.

Addressing the conference in Malta on Thursday, Orbán called mass migration from the Middle East a “Trojan Horse of terrorism” and the language of political correctness “unable to identify and understand the true dangers of migration”, reports Euractiv.
Adding that migration has become an NGO business, he said it had imported a significant “anti-Semitic potential to Europe”.
The Hungarian premier slammed the ECHR, saying that it was in urgent need of reform as its decisions pose “a threat to the security of the European people and offer an invitation to migrants”.
“Europe is the best place in the world,” Orbán said, “at least for the time being”. He warned that the continent faces “serious dangers”, and that migrants settling in Europe favoured living in parallel societies over integration. The view in Central Europe, he said, remained that “if this keeps up”, Western Europe would have a Muslim majority “within our generation’s lifetime”.
Prime Minister Orbán urged the centre-right EPP, which includes parties such as Angela Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU), the Austrian People’s Party, and Sweden’s Moderate Party, to take up the intellectual and political struggle against the left and be “Europe’s flagship”, advocating for “national pride and Christian identity”.
He stated the left had a clear action plan for the transformation of Europe which would be “fatal” for the continent.
“I understand that the left is putting us under ideological pressure in order to make us feel guilty for the crusades […] but this leftist policy is intellectually disarming Europe against migration,” he emphasised.
On Tuesday, the Central European Visegrad Group (Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic) rejected Brussels’ use of “blackmail” over the forced redistribution across the EU of asylum seekers that arrived during the migrant crisis.
Orbán has been at the forefront of the push-back against the EU’s migrant policies, receiving overwhelming support from the Hungarian people.
Since the beginning of the year, Mr. Orbán has committed to extending border defences, hiring 3,000 new border guards, and constructing container villages to house asylum seekers whilst their claims are being processed to prevent them travelling to other countries.
“We are able to halt any wave of migration, no matter its size,” Orbán said, adding that despite being subject to attacks from Brussels, Hungary’s asylum laws served to protect EU citizens. This, Orbán asserted, is a sign of “true solidarity” with the bloc.

EU Prez Juncker Threatens ‘Texit’ as Revenge for Trump’s Brexit Support

European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker has indicated that he will support parts of the U.S. breaking away as revenge for President Donald J. Trump supporting Britain’s decision to leave the European Union (EU) and predicting other countries will follow.

“The newly elected U.S. president was happy that Brexit was taking place, and asked other countries to do the same,” he told at a European People’s Party conference, recalling the president’s prediction that Brexit will be “fantastic” for the United Kingdom.
“If he goes on like that,” he said, “I am going to promote the independence of Ohio and Austin, Texas.”
“Juncker has made a complete fool of himself,” commented Brexit campaign leader and former UKIP chief Nigel Farage in a press release.
“He clearly does not understand the difference between the EU and the United States of America. One was formed by consent while the other is being imposed.”
“The US is an organically formed nation with a single language and similar culture, while the cultural and linguistic differences in the EU are immense.
“If this is what Juncker calls diplomacy, he needs to take a long hard look at himself.”
Juncker, a former prime minister of Luxembourg, has also been rated poorly as a statesman by Professor Ted Malloch, widely tipped as President Trump’s preferred ambassador to the EU.
Professor Malloch recommended that Juncker returns to his former status as an “adequate mayor” in his native city-state in a televised interview with the BBC. He likened the EU to the Soviet Union and suggesting that, like the Soviet Union, it “needs a little taming”.
The European Commission is perhaps the most powerful institution in the EU. It is a hybrid body, acting as its executive but also retaining the sole power to initiate EU legislation, which overrides the domestic legislation of the bloc’s member-states.

Research Shows Sturgeon Is ‘Out of Touch’ with Ordinary Scots on Brexit and Immigration

New research indicates Nicola Sturgeon and the Scottish National Party are out of touch with the great majority of ordinary Scots on Brexit and immigration.

The research was conducted for Nat Cen by Professor John Curtice, one of Britain’s best-known election analysts and a regular talking head in the broadcast media circuit.
It suggests that some 62 per cent believe that trade arrangements and immigration rules should be the same throughout the United Kingdom following Brexit. This would appear to confirm that the First Minister’s “impossible” compromise proposal to keep Scotland in the European Union (EU) single market while the rest of the UK leaves does not have public backing.
“[O]n immigration in particular voters in Scotland seem to be more in tune with the stance taken by the UK government than that adopted by the Scottish Government,” it said.
“Indeed, it seems that even amongst those who voted Yes to independence in September 2014 there is a limited appetite for having a more liberal regime on EU migration in Scotland than there is in England and Wales.”
While the report shows a clear majority of Scots are in favour of trading freely with the EU – which Brexit secretary David Davis hopes to achieve through a comprehensive agreement – there is also a clear majority in favour of controlling immigration. This suggests Scots are not satisfied with the EU free movement regime which ties commerce and open borders together.Professor Curtice’s research emerges as official figures revealed a separate Scotland would face a hugely inflated EU membership bill – assuming it were able to cut spending or raise taxes enough for the bloc to accept its application. In addition, Scotland Office statistics lay bare just how much more important the British single market is to Scotland than the EU market.
The Scottish Nationalists lost their majority in the Scottish Parliament a month before the Brexit referendum but were able to pass a 69-59 vote in favour of a second Scottish referendum with the help of MSPs from the Scottish Green Party.
This comes just three years after Nicola Sturgeon dubbed the 2014 vote a “once in a generation” event.

Muslim Parents ‘on the Warpath’ over Gay Teacher at Kindergarten

Muslim parents in Berlin have furiously protested against a kindergarten after learning that one of its staff members is a homosexual man, with a number of families withdrawing their children when the daycare centre refused to sack him.

“They went on the warpath,” said the managing director of the Reinickendorf kindergarten, detailing how parents organised to collect signatures against its employment of the man — who Der Tagesspiegel calls Christian Berger — demanding that he be fired.
Noting that all but one child who attended the daycare centre comes from a Muslim family, she said the parents “come from another world”, explaining that they see gay men as a danger.
“We are living in 21st century Berlin,” said the manager, who runs four kindergartens in the German capital. She stressed there was no way she was going to sack a member of staff because of his sexuality.
Berger told the German newspaper that many of the parents come from the Middle East and Turkey, stating: “For some of them, they think homosexuals are automatically child molesters.
“As a gay man, one walks a fine line,” he said, adding that parents are “afraid” of his sexuality.
“You touch the children, you dress them, you see them naked,” Berger told Der Tagesspiegel, which underlined that this is “the normal job of an educator”.
The kindergarten’s manager, who didn’t wish to be named, told the newspaper that before meeting the gay teacher, parents were already unhappy about the prospect of their young children being looked after by a man.
“Some of the parents were shocked” when it was announced at a parents’ evening that their children were going to have a male tutor, she said.
“We don’t want a man to be helping our children get dressed and taking them to the toilet,” the manager recounted parents saying. Upon discovering the new teacher’s sexuality, they presented the kindergarten with a petition asking that he be fired.
At a subsequent parent’s evening, to which Berger was not invited, a number of families warned they would remove their children from the centre’s care if it continued to employ the gay staff member.
The managing director said parents who had the strongest objections have now withdrawn their children from the kindergarten, but Berger told the newspaper he still feels under undue suspicion in his job.
“Parents are constantly looking at me,” he disclosed with some annoyance, according to Der Tagesspiegel. “We are constantly monitored, which makes it difficult to care for the children in an ordinary fashion.
“Our role as kindergarten teachers is to help children develop in a healthy and normal way,” said Berger.
The tutor added that it’s homophobic people ‘who are actually in need of help’, recalling how, on the subway recently, he heard a conversation between two men in which one said he would “find it disgusting” if his child had a gay teacher.

EU President Predicts 30 Million More Migrants Will Come Europe

European Parliament President Antonio Tajani claims there could be as many as 30 million migrants heading to Europe in the coming years and advocates “refugee cities” as an answer to the crisis.

The European Union (EU) president addressed the migrant crisis and its focus which has shifted sharply to the Mediterranean route from North Africa to his native Italy. Tajani admitted that terror groups like Islamic State have used the migrant crisis to sneak fighters into Europe to commit terror attacks and noted that immigration, terrorism, and the economy were top on his agenda in an interview with German newspaper, Die Welt.
On the subject of migration from Africa, Tajani said: “Africa is in a dramatic position: The desert eats agricultural land, the terrorist organisation Boko Haram persecutes Christians and moderate Muslims. Nigeria and Niger are in poverty. In Somalia, there is drought and civil war.”
“If we do not manage to solve the central problems in African countries, 10, 20, or even 30 million immigrants will come to the European Union in ten years,” he added.
To solve the crisis, Tajani said the EU member states should invest billions into the economies of African nations. The EU leader noted the Chinese presence in Africa but did not think the Chinese were interested in stability. “Africa is now risking becoming a Chinese colony, but the Chinese want only the raw materials. Stability does not interest them,” he said.
One of the solutions Tajani proposes is to create “refugee cities” similar to proposals made by Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz. “I imagine provisional cities with hospitals and facilities for children, where people can live temporarily. We must prevent the migrants from getting caught in the traffickers’ traps and dying while travelling through the desert or across the Mediterranean,” he said.
Tajani is also worried by the potential of terror groups like Boko Haram of Nigeria travelling to Europe by crossing the Mediterranean, but stressed the main source of terrorism flowing into the bloc comes via the Balkan route.
He said that Europeans should not stay at home because of terrorism and should go out and be social but added: “We will, therefore, have to get used to increased police checks. I would be happy to be more controlled by the police.”
The topic of Islamisation was also touched upon as Tajani mentioned the character of Europe being specifically Christian. “Whoever has a strong identity does not need to be afraid of others. We must defend our identity,” he said. “If we do not defend our values, the newcomers will make their rules. The U.S. shows how to do it. There is a flag in front of many houses.”

Swedish Police Investigate Another Gang Rape Posted On Social Media

Police in Uppsala, Sweden, have arrested one man in an ongoing investigation into a gang rape which was filmed and posted on the social media app Snapchat.

The assault occurred in January at a hotel in Uppsala. The woman involved claims to have been raped by at least two men while another man filmed the incident and posted it on Snapchat. One man has been arrested but two are still at large, Swedish broadcaster SVT reports.
Prosecutor Thomas Forsberg said the footage authorities have in their possession is not complete, saying: “Parts of the event were filmed and posted on Snapchat, where they have been for some time. It has been available for a number of people but it is currently unclear how many.”
Police say they have seized at least one mobile device with footage of the incident and are currently trying to recover the rest, adding there is a “very high probability there is more material. We have confiscated a phone and there are reports in the investigation claiming that there should be more of footage that could shed light on what happened at the time.”
The one suspect arrested so far in the case is said to be a man in his 20s. Police say another man in his 40s is also a suspect and has been searched. A third man, also in his 20s, is said to be wanted for failing to report the rape.
Both the prosecutor and the police have confirmed there is no connection between the case and the rape that was broadcast on Facebook earlier this year.
The Facebook case, which also occurred in Uppsala,  saw the arrest of three asylum seekers in January. Witnesses to the rape said the suspects pulled a gun and threatened viewers of the stream. The incident was reported to police who intervened in the attack, which was also caught on camera.
One witness claimed she had recognised one of the men because he had raped her in the past. She told Swedish media the asylum seeker had raped her in 2015 while she was taking a shower.
All three are currently on trial for the attack and the lawyer for the suspects has claimed the incident was consensual and that his client could prove it. So far, no verdict has been made in the case.

The Muslim Brotherhood: Peddling Sharia as Social Justice

Gehad el-Haddad, official spokesman for the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), is on a mission to rewrite the terrorist and radical history of the MB. He seems to be doing this for the consumption of naïve Americans. These seem only too willing to believe -- in the name of tolerance, diversity and trying to be non-judgmental -- that an organization whose ultimate goal is the supreme reign of Islamic sharia law everywhere -- if necessary through violent jihad -- could possibly value anything even approximating equality and the rule of (non-sharia) law.
"We are not terrorists," wrote a political activist for the MB, Gehad el-Haddad, in a recent article in the New York Times.
"The Muslim Brotherhood's philosophy is inspired by an understanding of Islam that emphasizes the values of social justice, equality and the rule of law... We believe that our faith is inherently pluralistic and comprehensive and that no one has a divine mandate or the right to impose a single vision on society... Nothing speaks more to our unequivocal commitment to nonviolence than our continued insistence on peaceful resistance, despite unprecedented state violence".
The "faith", which el-Haddad avoids naming, is Islam. The very essence of Islam, as sanctioned in the Quran and the hadiths, however, seems to be the belief in a divine mandate to impose the single vision of Islam on the world -- if necessary, through violent jihad. Its motto is:
"Allah is our objective; the Prophet is our leader; the Quran is our law; Jihad is our way; dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope".
Even dawa, the Islamic call to conversion, or proselytizing -- as explained by the Muslim Brotherhood's spiritual leader, Yusuf al-Qaradawi, host of one of Al Jazeera's most popular programs, Sharia and Life, which reaches an estimated 60 million viewers worldwide -- is an Islamic summons for the non-violent conquest of non-Muslim lands. As Qaradawi told a Muslim Arab Youth Association convention in Toledo, Ohio, in 1995, "We will conquer Europe, we will conquer America! Not through sword but through Da'wa."
Qaradawi, in a recording from 2007, says that the aim of this "peaceful" conquest consists mainly of the introduction of Islamic law, sharia. According to Qaradawi, sharia should be introduced in a new country gradually, over a five-year period, before implementing it in full. Sharia includes the end of free speech under "blasphemy laws"; the oppression of women, including women being worth half as much as a man in court and inheritance; polygamy, and the persecution of Jews (Qaradawi advocates killing all of them). Qaradawi has explained in TV recordings how sharia also includes chopping off hands for theft, killing apostates and homosexuals, as well as beating women as a means of "disciplining" them.
The New York Times, ostensibly concerned with "fake news", evidently has no qualms about lending its pages to such straightforward propaganda as El-Haddad's piece on behalf of the Muslim Brotherhood.
According to a recent report by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), the MB recently launched a lobbying offensive in the United States to charm decision-makers in the Trump administration and Congress to give up on the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act of 2017, re-introduced on January 9, 2017, by Senator Ted Cruz.
According to the MEMRI report, the Muslim Brotherhood's lobbying efforts include:
"Launching a widespread informational media campaign, including the hiring of U.S. lobbying and legal firms, outreach to the press in the U.S., and dissemination of informational content aimed at improving its image in the West, particularly in the U.S."
The purpose is "to convey that it is not a terrorist organization, but rather an ideological movement whose methods of operation are peaceful".
Human Rights Watch, an organization that is supposed to look out for victims of human rights abuses, not abusers of human rights, also jumped on that bandwagon. Human Rights Watch is begging US decision makers not to designate the Muslim Brotherhood -- who, if they had their way, would take away everyone's human rights and substitute them with sharia law -- a foreign terrorist organization.
The MEMRI report also cites former MB official Tareq Abu Al-Sa'ad's claim that, as part of its efforts to improve its image in the U.S., "the MB relies on specific American families who are members of the MB and have close ties to the U.S. administration... to contact human rights organizations to help improve its image in Washington".
Conveniently, Hamas -- which according to Article Two of its charter, "is one of the wings of Moslem Brotherhood in Palestine. The Moslem Brotherhood Movement is a universal organization which constitutes the largest Islamic movement in modern times..." -- is, it seems, working on a new charter which would declare that Hamas is not a part of the Muslim Brotherhood, despite always having been so. That way, is the MB's "narrative" of newfound "nonviolence" suddenly supposed to become believable?
The Muslim Brotherhood evidently considers the West filled with utter dupes, willing to take anything at face value that is served up to them. One can hardly blame them. The West has swallowed whole the propaganda of Islam as a "religion of peace". Why should the US not buy the equally false idea that the MB is a non-violent, pluralistic, social justice movement?
According to the MEMRI report:
"Evidence of the lobbying moves could be seen in comments by a London-based MB official, Mohamed Soudan, who said in late January that the Muslim Brotherhood was speaking to American politicians, State Department officials, members of Congress, and academics, in order to explain the nonviolent history of the movement since its establishment in 1928".

Also according to the MEMRI report:
"On February 5, the Saudi website Elaph reported that the MB had signed a contract with an American lobbying firm, paying it $4.8 million to help it establish ties with Trump administration officials in order to improve its image in U.S. media. According to the report, the contract included organizing meetings with Trump administration officials, submitting documents on Egyptian government mistreatment of the movement and its members, publishing articles in American media, and providing platforms for MB officials in the American print and TV media. Elaph added that elements close to the Obama administration had helped the movement sign the contract with this firm, whose officials include figures close to Obama's election campaign and to Hillary Clinton. According to Elaph, the firm employs dozens of former White House and State Department staffers who have extensive ties to members of Congress and political and strategic research centers in the U.S".
Is anyone doing anything substantial to counter the Muslim Brotherhood's lobbying offensive in the United States?

Germany: Jewish boy forced out of school after 4 months of antisemitic bullying, violent attacks

A British-Jewish family in Berlin has been forced to pull their 14-year-old son out of his school after he was subjected to months of antisemitic bullying. The boy was sent to Friedenauer Gemeinschaftsschule, a school they were attracted to initially because of its diverse pupils, many of whom are from an Arab or Turkish background. However, when the son mentioned he was Jewish, one pupil said to him “Listen, you are a cool dude but I can’t be friends with you, Jews are all murderers”. The mother said that verbal abuse quickly escalated into physical violence, and this month “he was attacked and almost strangled, and the guy pulled a toy gun on him that looked like a real gun. And the whole crowd of kids laughed. He was completely shaken”. The mother had approached the Headteacher of the school, asking whether he could bring in an organisation to educate the children about antisemitism, as well as other forms of xenophobia and racism, but despite him appearing open to the idea, no action was taken. The mother’s parents are Holocaust survivors who have spoken at the school. There have been indications for over a decade that antisemitism was driving Jewish students out of state schools and to Jewish schools, with Deidre Berger suggesting in 2015 that more and more Jewish students were attending Jewish schools for fear of antisemitism and in 2006, Der Spiegel running a report on Jewish schoolchildren who had been pushed out of secular schools by antisemitism. According to the JC, the Moses Mendelssohn Jewish High School in Berlin receives 6 to 10 applications each year from Jewish students who have similarly been forced out of other schools by antisemitism, indicating a huge problem in the city’s schools. Aaron Eckstaedt, the school’s headteacher, says that parents are often concerned with the lack of formal response from those schools, and that the complaints are often centred around students of an Arab or Turkish background. It is not known whether these incidents are being investigated by the police.

Did the FBI Want Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller Dead? FBI agent was at the Garland jihad attack, egging on the attackers

60 Minutes ran a feature Sunday night about the FBI curious role in the May 2015 Garland jihad attack at a free speech event co-organized by Pamela Geller and me. It was, predictably enough, viciously biased, sloppy, and incomplete, but it was nonetheless illuminating in raising a hard and unanswerable question: did the FBI want Pamela Geller and me dead?
Despite the fact that the jihad attack took place at our event, neither Geller nor I appear, except in one still photo, in the 60 Minutes piece. All they say is that “a self-described free speech advocate named Pamela Geller was holding a provocative contest.”
The contempt fairly leapt from the screen. “A self-described free speech advocate”? Did 60 Minutes mean that Pamela Geller didn’t have the requisite degree in free speech advocacy? Or that she wasn’t really a free speech advocate? What they really mean, of course, is that she is not on the Left, and so cannot be celebrated as a free speech advocate the way the Charlie Hebdo cartoonists, who were all Leftists, can be.
60 Minutes also gave a nod to Sharia blasphemy laws by describing the contest as “provocative.” It was an art exhibit, featuring historical and modern images of Muhammad, some created by Muslims. It was only provocative to Muslims who believe in Islam’s death penalty for blasphemy (and brainwashed dhimmis). Was 60 Minutes implying endorsement of that death penalty? Why, yes. If our event was provocative, the shooters were justifiably provoked.
Meanwhile, CBS gave a lot of space to Usama Shami, the imam of the Islamic Community Center of Phoenix, from which the jihadis came, allowing him to exonerate the mosque of any responsibility for “radicalizing” the jihad attackers. 60 Minutes didn’t mention what Simpson’s friend Courtney Lonergan told the Arizona Republic: “Simpson would never waver from the teachings he picked up in the mosque and elsewhere….He was one of those guys who would sleep at the mosque. The fact that he felt personally insulted by somebody drawing a picture had to come from the ideological rhetoric coming out of the mosque.”
60 Minutes also doesn’t challenge Shami on his lies right after the attack, when he said that the jihadis were not regular members of the mosque.
Despite all the predictable politically correct whitewashing and appeasement, CBS did a good job of highlighting a curious and still unexplained aspect of the attack: the FBI clearly knew the attack was coming (although it didn’t bother to inform us or our security team), as the FBI agent was right there, following behind the jihadis, whom he had encouraged to “tear up Texas.” But even though they knew the attack was coming, they didn’t have a team in place to stop the jihadis. They had one man there, and one man only. The jihadis were not stopped by FBI agents, but by our own security team. If the jihadis had gotten through our team, they would have killed Pamela Geller and me, and many others. (They would no doubt have loved to kill Geert Wilders, but he left before they arrived.)
The Daily Beast wrote in August 2016 about how this undercover FBI agent encouraged the jihadis. The Beast’s Katie Zavadski wrote: “Days before an ISIS sympathizer attacked a cartoon contest in Garland, Texas, he received a text from an undercover FBI agent. ‘Tear up Texas,’ the agent messaged Elton Simpson days before he opened fire at the Draw Muhammad event, according to an affidavit (pdf) filed in federal court Thursday.”
This was not entrapment. Simpson and Soofi were determined jihadis who had scouted out other targets. Simpson, along with Soofi and Abdul Malik Abdul Kareem, who supplied weapons to the pair and helped them train, sought information about pipe bombs and plotted to attack the Super Bowl, and planned to go to Syria to join the Islamic State (ISIS), long before anyone told him to “tear up Texas.”
But what was the FBI’s game in telling them to do that? Why didn’t they have a phalanx of agents in place, ready to stop the attack? Or did they want the attack to succeed, so that Barack Obama’s vow that “the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam” would be vividly illustrated, and intimidate any other Americans who might be contemplating defending the freedom of speech into silence?
We twice asked the FBI for an investigation into this matter. They have ignored us. Of course. After all, it isn’t as if this happened to someone important, like Linda Sarsour.

Hungary Begins Detaining Migrants in ‘Container Villages’ Amidst Protests from EU

The Hungarian government has begun the process of relocating asylum seekers into two “container villages” while the European Court of Human rights (ECHR) has fought against the move.

Officials in the Central European country have erected 324 residential units across two different “villages” for migrants with ongoing asylum applications. The villages will house migrants of all ages, including those who are underage. The ECHR has taken exception to the policy ruling that at least eight underage asylum seekers should not be housed in the new residences, Die Zeit reports.
The Hungarian government announced the move to relocate and limit the ability for migrants to move around the country in February with an estimated 586 migrants to be transferred to the new villages. Security adviser of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, György Bakondi, said Tuesday: “From today on, the expanded transit zone will be operational 24 hours a day.”
The villages are located in the “transit zone” near the Serbian border in the vicinity of the villages of Röszke and Tompa. The migrants living in the areas will only be free to travel elsewhere once their asylum claims have been accepted.
The reaction from many outside Hungary has been sharp criticism over the project. The European Court of Human Rights recently ruled that eight underage migrants and a pregnant woman would not be housed in the villages. The court has also, according to an ECHR spokesman, sent a number of questions to the government regarding individual transfers and set a deadline of 10 April for the Hungarians to answer.
The issue was brought before the court by the Hungarian Helsinki Committee, a human rights group who threatened court action in February.
Since the beginning of the year, Hungary had received just over a thousand asylum applications, down significantly from 2015 when hundreds of thousands were flowing through Hungary to Western Europe. The government in Budapest has been committed to their border fence to dissuade further migration from neighbouring Serbia, building a new addition to the fence this year.
The government has also recruited 3,000 men to assist in border security. These “border hunters” have been recruited from high schools as well as cities and villages across the country.
Budapest has also soundly rejected the redistribution of migrants from other European Union member states. Earlier this week, Hungary rejected a request from Sweden to take 5,000 migrants who had first registered for asylum in Hungary. Sweden argued that under the EU’s Dublin agreement regulations, Hungary is responsible for the migrants.

The Who’s Roger Daltrey: Brexit the ‘Right Thing for this Country’

Roger Daltrey, founder and lead singer of the English rock band The Who, reiterated his support for Britain’s independence from the European Union in an interview this week.

The United Kingdom officially filed to leave the European Union on Wednesday, and the London-born rocker says he supports Brexit because a “majority of this country felt that their voices weren’t being heard.”
“We are getting out, and when the dust settles I think that it’ll be seen that it’s the right thing for this country to have done, that’s for sure,” Daltrey told NME.
“I am not anti-European, but I am anti the present way we are being governed in Europe,” Daltrey explained “It’s got nothing to do with any of the immigration issues or any of that for me. It was to do with much more. The majority of this country felt that their voices weren’t being heard. It would have been nice to do a deal with Europe but they didn’t want to do a deal, and they sent Cameron back with a bag.”
He added: “I’m sad we voted how we voted, but I think we have to go with it now. This country will always be alright, I don’t worry about it. You know it’s going to be bumpy on the way—we expected that; the ones that voted to get out. But Iceland had it a bit bumpy when they went bankrupt, but oh not now.”
Daltrey previously expressed support for Brexit in May, saying the European Union was “set up by a bunch of crooks” and was “undemocratic” and “highly dysfunctional.”
When it comes to U.S. politics and the 2016 presidential election, the “My Generation” singer said he believes “a dead dog could have beaten” Democratic contender Hillary Clinton.
“On other pieces of politics, let’s put it this way: when you say that middle America and the Democrats lost it, but Trump didn’t really win it because Democrats threw it away by putting [Hilary Clinton] up,” Daltrey told NME. “A dead dog would have won it against [her], look at that.”
The Grammy-winner also took a shot at Trump’s hair and language: “He needs it cut and as my mother would say, ‘wash your f*cking mouth out.'”

FRONT PAGES: Britain’s Press Reacts to Article 50

Britain’s newspapers splashed Article 50 across their front pages this Wednesday, with Leave-supporting papers in jubilant mood, but Remain publications far more sombre.

The Leave-supporting Sun pulled off a big stunt to celebrate Britain’s impending EU exit.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail, another Leave paper, celebrates Brexit with the word “Freedom!”. It simultaneously celebrates the impending release of ‘Marine A’
The Express, which was the first paper to call for Britain to leave the EU, is also in celebratory mood.
The Daily Telegraph reports on the Prime Minister’s call to “unite behind Brexit”
The Remain-supporting Times takes a more cautious note, however.
The strongly Remain Financial Times speaks of May’s “conciliatory” tone.
While the Guardian removes the UK (and part of the Republic of Ireland!) from the European jigsaw.
Similarly, the i cuts the UK out of a European map

Europe: Unwilling to Defend Itself

It has been said that when German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer signed the reconstitution of the military in 1955, he proclaimed: "It is crazy, gentlemen, that I have to create a German army, it is just crazy".
Sixty years have passed, but that sentiment still seems very strong in Germany. A few days ago Sigmar Gabriel, the German foreign minister, said: "We have to be a bit careful here that we don't over-interpret the 2 percent target." Gabriel then became clearer: "Maintain perspective, stay focused on the target, but avoid being consumed by the bliss of a new rearmament spiral!"
A few days earlier, Germany had made an announcement: to raise the number of soldiers from 170,000 to 198,000 by 2024 -- a modest "rearmament".
It is a direct consequence of the Trump Administration's important pressure on European allies, urging them to invest more in defense and security. European armies have become, to quote The Economist, "Potemkin Euro-armies". Germany's views are crucial to understanding Europe's attitude about security and defense. Germany, the world's fourth-largest economy and Europe's financial giant, is a military dwarf, proud of being weak and disarmed.
Take the countries which suffered most of terror attacks in the last two years. Belgium? It spends 0.85% of its gross domestic product on defense. France? 1.78%. Germany? 1.19%. Spain, which in 2004 experienced the most severe attack in Europe's recent history? 0.94%.
Europe is enjoying a big siesta. It is disarmed not only militarly but also mentally. Seventy-five percent of Belgium's military spending goes to pay army pensions. As NATO's Secretary General Lord Robertson put it, "The problem in Europe is that there are far too many people in uniform, and too few of them able to go into action."
Another NATO official, Joseph Ralston, the former supreme commander for Europe, defined European armies as "fat and redundant".
These countries have all embraced the moral vanity of pacifism.
Thanks to it, Germany's military supply depots are now almost completely empty, according to the newspaper, Die Welt. Possibly fearing a "rearmament spiral", Germany in fact ended up with a shy army with no drums.
The German population is unwilling to defend itself. A survey by the research firm TNS Emnid showed that 73% of the Germans remain opposed to higher military spending by NATO countries. Manfred Güllner, head of the Berlin-based pollster, Forsa, said that many Germans "would rather have the military not be operational and stay at home". For most Germans, "history is over". After the reunification of the country, they seem to mean, they have no more enemies or threats; only friends and opportunities to build a better world, all together. According with Der Spiegel, "Germany is experiencing a relapse into pacifism".
Born in the years of a Cold War that could become hot, the Bundeswehr, the German army, was the backbone of NATO forces. Today, it is Europe's military soft underbelly. In contrast to its European neighbors (Belgium, Denmark, France and the Netherlands), Germany refused to deploy its military jets to attack Islamic State positions in Iraq. When, last September, German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen visited Iraq to talk to the German officers training Kurdish fighters, she assured her troops that they would not be close to the battle zones. She added that for the German army, "Security is the highest priority".
John Vinocur wrote in the Wall Street Journal that Germany, one of the largest manufacturers of weapons in the world, has made it clear again that even facing a barbaric enemy, such as ISIS, it is a non-lethal actor. "Diplomats in uniform" is how German soldiers have been called. In Germany, sending fighting troops abroad looks unthinkable today.
The military no longer figures in the German public's consciousness. If a German chief of staff can be pressured to resign after a raid in Afghanistan did not go as well as planned, it means that he did not have the backing of his society and government.
The German army is now just 20% of what it was in 1990. The country is the economic leader in Europe, but Berlin refuses to invest in security and defense -- even less so than the UK, France and other European nations.
Konstantin Richter wrote:
"In the decades since World War II, Germans have turned into genuine pacifists, enjoying their role on the sidelines of global conflicts. A majority of the German public opposes combat missions, and supports the Bundeswehr only as a quasi-humanitarian organization, a kind of Médecins Sans Frontières with guns.".
In a recent Foreign Policy article, Hans Kundnani found that "a simple comparison between the American and German military budget illustrates the problem". In 2015, according to the International Institute for Strategic Studies, the U.S. defense budget was $597.5 billion. Germany's was $36.7 billion, one-twentieth the size of America's. The same is true for the number of soldiers: Germany army has shrunk to 176,752 active military personnel, a seventh of the 1.3 million of the United States.
That is why Jochen Bittner of Die Zeit wrote: "For the foreseeable future, don't count on us Germans". The late Guido Westerwelle, as Germany's foreign minister from 2009 to 2013, made the withdrawal of American nuclear weapons from Germany one of his top priorities.
According Kundnani, this military dysfunction reflects a cultural one:
"In the first decade after reunification in 1990, Germany seemed to be converging with France and the U.K. on the question of the use of military force. This incremental shift culminated in Germany's participation in the Kosovo War in 1999. 'Never again Auschwitz' seemed to have replaced 'never again war' as a fundamental principle of German foreign policy. But in the 2000s, against the backdrop of the deployment of the Bundeswehr to Afghanistan and the perceived failures of military interventions elsewhere, Germans seemed to revert to the principle of 'never again war.' Germany refused to participate in the military intervention in Libya in 2011 — a decision that many Germans feel has been vindicated. And even the strategic shock of the Ukraine crisis hasn't changed German attitudes about the use of military force."
"Pacifism became the German lifestyle". So a few weeks ago, a German MEP expressed his anger after his 16-year-old daughter received a letter from the army in search of volunteers. "It is outrageous that people so young are being targeted", said Özcan Mutlu to the news website "Young people need protection". And what does a modern Western society need to be protected? Germany and Europe are not able to answer this question. That is why they are all desperate about Trump's request to invest more in defending themselves, as if they hope to continue their siesta forever.
The relative abundance enjoyed by the Western post-war generations have created a kind of shame instead of pride. Being born in Europe after the Second World War meant belonging to the dregs of humanity, an execrable society that, for centuries, oppressed almost all the rest of the planet. Europe's commitment for the Third World and the "wretched of earth" is accompanied by a strange fatalism: Why defend the feeble Western democracies, since the path of history requires their disappearance? We are supposedly at "the end of history". That is the moral arrogance pervading the Europeans today: at the time of twilight, we just have to work to our own downfall. That is the mentality through which "pacifism, sometimes in a self-righteous manner, has become part of the German DNA".
What did Spain do after al-Qaeda bombed Madrid's trains? It withdrew its army from Iraq. What did France do after the carnage at the Bataclan Theater? It played John Lennon's "Imagine". What did Belgium do after the bombings in Brussels? It lit candles. What Germany did after the massacre at the Christmas market in Berlin? It cried, "Je suis Berlin". There is something so tragic and despairing in the Germany's lack of will to hunt down and eradicate the Islamic State.
See Germany, which destroyed Europe with its arms race under the Nazis. It is now putting Europe at risk again -- but this time out of the fear of a supposed "rearmament spiral". It is as if they think that just because you do not have an army, this means there can be no fight. But there is good news: the US Marines have just arrived in Syria to fight the Islamic State!

German Minister Threatens Sanctions on Countries Who Refuse to Take Back Migrants

The German government is putting pressure on African countries to take back their citizens who have failed to claim asylum by threatening economic sanctions.

German Interior Minister Thomas de Maizière announced Tuesday that countries who refuse to take back their citizens who illegally entered Germany will face potential economic sanctions and the loss of development aid. He also said the government could make it more difficult for politicians of those countries to enter the European Union (EU) if they chose not to cooperate, Der Spiegel reports.
Mr. de Maizière made the proposal at a meeting of federal government ministers who broadly agreed with him. He demanded the EU take a more active role in negotiating with countries to take back their nationals and said the policy must be directed at promoting readiness and willingness for the countries to take back their citizens.
“It is obligatory under international law to take back their own citizens,” de Maizière said adding that if the EU acted as a whole it would make the negotiations stronger and more likely to be accomplished.
According to German statistics, around 207,000 foreigners are in Germany illegally and were supposed to voluntarily leave or be deported by the end of 2016. 99,000 of those were individuals who had been rejected for asylum by the government.  54,000 people left Germany voluntarily and 27,000 were forcibly deported, most of them being from the Balkan region.
North African migrants have been the hardest for the German government to deport as many of the countries make demands on the Germans which can skyrocket the cost of deportations to as much as €55,000 per person.
Very few North Africans are granted asylum status in Germany as most of the countries in the region are considered safe. In 2015, only two migrants out of over 2,000 from the Maghreb were granted asylum status.
In 2016, over 8,000 migrants were rejected for asylum, but only 368 were actually deported between January and November. As well as making costly demands, some governments in North Africa have simply chosen not to accept their nationals back, particularly if the governments of those nations deem their citizens lack the proper paperwork.
Minister de Maizière is a member of German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and the party is looking to a stricter deportation policy ahead of this Autumn’s federal election.  The CDU and de Maizière have also advocated sending migrants back to Greece, though the Greek government has said they cannot handle the number of migrants they currently have.

Auditors: German Courses For Migrants Waste of Millions of Euros

German auditors have slammed the government’s German language courses for asylum seekers saying that it is likely that millions of euros have been wasted.

The Federal Agency for Employment (BA) is said to have spent over €400 million over the past year on courses designed to help migrants learn German. According to auditors, a large amount of the cash has likely been wasted on programmes that had no measure of success and some courses that didn’t even record attendance lists, Stern reports.
The report also alleged that course materials offered to the asylum seekers were poor which led to classes attendance declining and the eventual dissolution of some courses.
President of the Federal Court of Accounts, Kay Scheller, noted that sometimes the federal government was even billed twice for the same service and though some of the money has been recovered, much of it has not.
One of the problems, according to the auditors, is that there were no strict guidelines handed down from the BA as to how the money should be allocated.
Some of the courses seemed to be obvious wastes of money like a language course labelled as “active promotion of the labour market” but was given to children aged under 13 years old. According to the course, even toddlers would have been learning mathematics in the classes.
The BA said the reason for a lack of solid guidelines was due to the migrant crisis overwhelming the system, but the auditors said there should have been a minimum level of guidelines regardless.
The migrant crisis has already cost the German government billions of euros and waste has been a major problem. In one town, 21 migrants were costing over €500,000 per month because they lived in a facility meant for 500 people and the city was stuck with rental agreements and contracts for support workers.
Last year the anti-mass migration Alternative for Germany (AfD) party made a freedom of information request into where all the money set aside for migrants was actually going. They discovered that vast sums of money were being spent on non-essential items like a “music festival for cultural integration” which cost taxpayers €645,500.
The costs were so high last year that the German government earmarked its entire budget surplus to migrant programmes.

Austrian Government to Ban Burqa

The grand coalition government of the Austrian People’s Party (ÖVP) and the Socialist Party (SPÖ) have now agreed to ban the full-face Islamic veil, known as the burqa, as part of a new integration package.

The grand coalition agreed on the burqa ban proposal Tuesday as part of a new sweeping integration package that aims to tackle issues with asylum seekers as well as Islamic fundamentalism. Much of the legislation had already been proposed by Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz of the ÖVP last year but was not agreed upon until the two parties renegotiated their coalition agreement earlier this year, Die Welt reports.
The ban on the burqa, which covers the face and obscures the eyes of the wearer, will also cover the niqab which covers the face but not the eyes. Any full face veil that obscures a woman’s face will also be banned under the new legislation.
Also in the legislation is a ban on the distribution of the Quran in public places. Foreign Minister Kurz had proposed a ban on the distribution of the Quran after a radical Islamist Salafist organisation called “True Religion” was raided and banned in Germany. The group used the distribution of Qurans as a cover to radicalise and recruit Muslims for extremist groups like Islamic State.
Last year, the Swiss government considered banning the distribution of the Quran for the same reasons as “True Religion” was operating in their country as well.
Another part of the integration legislation will create special German language and Western values courses that will be offered to those with recognised asylum status and asylum seekers who are thought to have high chances for approval.  The cost of the legislation is estimated to be around €200 euros.
Asylum seekers will also be made to perform mandatory charity work and if they refuse they will see cuts in their welfare payments from the government. Kurz championed the policies saying: “This is the only way for people to work towards the respect of the majority of society.”
Austria is just the latest country to ban the full-face Islamic veil in Europe as more and more countries are considering adopting similar bans. France has banned the garment for years, while countries like Bulgaria and the Netherlands have only banned it recently.
Aside from the UK, one of the countries who has yet to ban the burqa has been Germany. Last year German Interior Minister Thomas De Maizière proposed a partial ban in public venues like schools, courts, and universities, but was against a total ban. German Chancellor Angela Merkel meanwhile has called for a ban, though currently no legislation has been passed.

Soros NGOs Cry Foul as Hungary’s Tough New Migration Rules Come into Force

Tough new rules requiring asylum seekers to remain in transit zones while their applications are processed came into force on 28 March in Hungary, to the great displeasure of pro-migration NGOs funded by billionaire financier George Soros.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán drafted the new rules after Tunisian migrant Anis Amri was able to murder a Polish haulier, hijack his lorry, and drive it into a Christmas market in Berlin as a result of being left at liberty even after his application for asylum was rejected and a deportation order lodged.
Putting rights of illegals before the rights of EU citizens is “insane” Latest on the blog  @abouthungary @EP_Justice
Nevertheless, Marta Pardavi, co-chair of the Soros-funded Helsinki Committee, complained that “the rules coming into force today simply deny protection to children, deny protection to refugees and essentially resort to illegal detention”.
The Hungarian government believes Soros-funded organisations like the Helsinki Committee are actively aiding and abetting illegal immigration in Europe, and has proposed rules which would require them to disclose their funding sources to increase transparency.
“What I understand from my colleagues, since I don’t supervise intelligence agencies, [is] that there were organisations which helped illegal migrants to find ways to Hungary, to find where they could violate our border, to find out how to apply for asylum status, and these reports have said that George Soros was in the background for these organisations”, said Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó in January 2017.
Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos, who holds the migration portfolio on the European Union’s unelected ruling executive, is gearing up to fight the Orbán government’s new asylum laws, telling reporters the EU will “work together through our experts and ensure that EU [asylum] rules also are complied with”.
Organisations such as the Helsinki Committee believe EU law required member-states to leave asylum seekers at large while their applications are processed, and stand by this principle despite the evident security risks which it entails.
Immigration and foreign funding of activist groups are two of five key issues over which Prime Minister Orbán has predicted a showdown with the EU in 2017.

“If we want Hungary to continue being a winning country in 2017, we Hungarians must provide a clear response to these five questions,” he said. “In fact behind all five questions there is the issue of national self-determination. So we have returned to the starting point: nations against globalists, sovereigntists against federalists.”
