Ireland: Car speeds up, deliberately plows into boy outside Dublin shopping center
“I was sitting in Starbucks the window is completely open and a car suddenly came up that path from the Leisureplex. He was moving fast – it looked like he was moving at about 50 kilometres per hour. He really sped up….He got back into the car and went back at the group again. One boy was hit and he went over the bonnet.”
So apparently the driver got out of the car, and then got back in and drove into the boy. This could be some madman, of course, as we are always told it is, but there is this: last June, the Islamic State published a poster depicting an SUV driving over a heap of skulls and bearing the legend “Run Over Them Without Mercy.”
And the Islamic State issued this call in September 2014:
So O muwahhid, do not let this battle pass you by wherever you may be. You must strike the soldiers, patrons, and troops of the tawaghit. Strike their police, security, and intelligence members, as well as their treacherous agents. Destroy their beds. Embitter their lives for them and busy them with themselves. If you can kill a disbelieving American or European — especially the spiteful and filthy French — or an Australian, or a Canadian, or any other disbeliever from the disbelievers waging war, including the citizens of the countries that entered into a coalition against the Islamic State, then rely upon Allah, and kill him in any manner or way however it may be….If you are not able to find an IED or a bullet, then single out the disbelieving American, Frenchman, or any of their allies. Smash his head with a rock, or slaughter him with a knife, or run him over with your car, or throw him down from a high place, or choke him, or poison him….
“15-year-old mowed down by car outside Blanchardstown Shopping Centre,” by Niall O’Connor, Dublin Live, December 29, 2017 (thanks to Anne):
An 15-year-old boy was mowed down outside a busy Dublin shopping centre when a car mounted the footpath.
Gardai are hunting for the motorist, described by eye witnesses as a man in a suit driving a BMW car.
Terrified onlookers told Dublin Live the young lad was standing with pals outside the Leisureplex at Blanchardstown Shopping Centre when the incident happened at 5pm.
Eyewitness Rebecca Wade, 21, was enjoying a coffee with her boyfriend Eoin Reilly in a coffee shop in the area.
Rebecca described the shocking scene: “I was sitting in Starbucks the window is completely open and a car suddenly came up that path from the Leisureplex. He was moving fast – it looked like he was moving at about 50 kilometres per hour. He really sped up.
“The kids just dispersed everywhere. I went running for the door and got outside and the Starbucks people locked the doors.
“I left myself out, I wanted to help because I am a nurse. The car turned around.
“He got back into the car and went back at the group again. One boy was hit and he went over the bonnet.”…
