Munich / Germany: Gang of Afghans brutally beat up a man after they asked him for a lighter

Already on Monday, 15 January at around 11.30 pm, a 31-year-old man in the city of Munich was brutally beaten up. A group of five people asked him for a lighter. The 31-year-old denied the question. Then the five of them struck him. In addition, a bottle was beaten against his leg, causing it to break. The 31-year-old fled to a restaurant and asked the local bouncers for help. The police reported that the group followed the 31-year-old and tried to get into the restaurant by passing the bouncers. There they hit and kicked the victim. One of the group members stabbed him with a pocket knife in the direction of the 31-year-old, but did not injure him. Only his pants were damaged. The doormen called the police. When they arrived, the group fled. According to the police, however, a 16-year-old Afghan resident in Munich and a 27-year-old Afghan resident in Graefelfing were arrested. The 31-year-old was slightly injured by the crime. After the police measures were carried out, the 27-year-old was released. The 16-year-old was transferred to a youth protection agency.
