The state of Baden-Württemberg and the city of Mannheim believe that they have found a solution to the problem of criminal unaccompanied minors. A group of 10 to 15 people will be dissolved as soon as possible and distributed to specialised youth welfare institutions throughout Germany. Some of them would have been in custody for quite some time anyway, the city and the country announce on Friday. A group of young North Africans have been conspicuous in Mannheim for many months by a high level of criminal energy. It is primarily about thefts, apparently preferable from bicycle baskets of their innocent victims. Because some of the young people are minors (under 14) or unknown due to missing ID cards, the authorities often had to watch the activity unconsciously.
