Bonn / Germany: Somalian man provisionally arrested after several sexual offences

A 17-year-old youth was temporarily arrested during the night to Sunday. He is suspected of molesting, sexually harassing and sexually coercing several women in the area around Bonn Central Station. Around 3:05 a.m., a police team of the Bonn city guard had been able to arrest the 17-year-old at the main station. A 41-year-old taxi driver, who had observed one of the young man's attacks, had intervened, brought the victim to safety and called the police. During the fact-finding, another injured person appeared to the officials and described a similar act to her disadvantage, which had taken place a few minutes earlier. The 17-year-old had approached her and touched her immorally. Initial investigations also revealed evidence of further sexual harassment to the detriment of two women in Colmant street. Here the responsible investigators of the Criminal Investigation Office 12 ask the alleged victims to report immediately on 0228/15-0. However, the measures against the 17-year-old Somalian, who had left a home for asylum seekers at the time of the crime, continue.
