Germany: 27-year-old asylum seeker arrested in Herborn after rape - urgent suspicion in two further cases

After the rape of a 91-year-old woman last week in Herborn, the public prosecutor's office and the criminal police identified a 27-year-old asylum seeker as a suspect. A judge of the Limburg District Court issued an arrest warrant against the man living in the Lahn-Dill district on Friday, June the 22nd, at the request of the public prosecutor's office. He's currently in a psychiatric hospital. In two other cases of sexual offences, investigations also revealed urgent suspicions against the 27-year-old refugee. The investigating authorities are currently assuming that the prisoner attacked a 52-year-old woman on a footpath near the grammar school in Dillenburg on the evening of the 14th of June. He is also suspected of having carried out exhibitionist acts against a 40-year-old woman in Herborn on 17th of June.
