A 31-year-old man from Iraq is said to have almost beaten his 11-year-old daughter to death in Pforzheim on Sunday. The girl came to a clinic with life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the 11-year-old is out of danger. The father of a family from Iraq was remanded in custody on Monday at the request of the public prosecutor's office in Pforzheim on urgent suspicion of attempted manslaughter. As the first police investigations conducted by the Pforzheim Nord police station have shown, there had been several disputes within the Iraqi refugee family in the past, some of which had also led to police missions. Apparently, this time there was a dispute between the father and his daughter over an untraceable navigation device, in the course of which the girl was allegedly abused with punches and kicks. An attentive witness, who was in the vicinity during the incident and had heard the screams of the child, looked, finally met the 11-year-old and called the police. After the arrival of the officers, the injured child's condition worsened seriously, so that the emergency services were informed and the girl had to undergo intensive medical treatment in a children's ward.
