Germany: Sudanese man attacks police officers in the city of Wolfsburg

A 36-year-old man from Wolfsburg has to face criminal charges for resisting police officers. The officials had been called to Wolfsburg City Hall this morning as the 36-year-old, who comes from Sudan, refused to leave the offices of the Foreigners' Office during a visit to the authorities. The informed policemen had to use ordinary physical force when the 36-year-old did not follow the officers' instructions to leave the town hall. Instead, he unexpectedly tried to hit a 28-year-old police commissioner with a fisticuff. Her 26-year-old patrolman, also a police commissioner, courageously intervened and suffered slight abrasions when he prevented the blow and immobilized the 36-year-old with handcuffs together with two members of a security service. The accused was taken into custody for reasons of danger prevention. The 36-year-old will be released in the early evening.
