Germany: Syrian man said to have sexually abused nine women

Dresden police arrested a 33-year-old man on Sunday evening. The Syrian is suspected of having committed several sexual offences. A victim had recognized him at the BRN district festival. According to police on Tuesday morning, the police are investigating the man in nine cases. Specifically, these are sex attacks that have taken place in Dresden in recent months. Only a few days ago, the 33-year-old allegedly molested a 19-year-old woman in Löbtau. Two other women are said to have fallen victim to him at the end of May on Görlitzer street. On the morning of May 26, he had tried to offend a 23-year-old woman in a house entrance on Grunaer Street. Only when the young woman defended herself massively did he flee. Similar acts are said to have been committed by the Syrian in February as well as in March at Hecht street, Fichten street and Rudolf-Leonhard-Street. A 24-year-old woman was physically harassed at Görlitzer Street at the beginning of March. A woman at the age of 34 was in a similar situation at Bischofs way. She too was indecently touched. Police were able to arrest the suspect because one of his victims recognized him on Louisen street on Sunday during the district festival. On Monday, the Syrian was brought before an investigating judge and an arrest warrant was issued. The 33-year-old is now behind bars.
