Austria: Woman from Linz probably brutally abused by a Somalian

Last weekend, a woman from Linz was allegedly brutally abused by a Somalian. The black African allegedly raped her in the toilet of an underpass. The horror act is said to have occurred in the Urfahraner exclusion zone Hinsenkampplatz square. Police are now investigating suspicions of rape. As the prosecutor was obviously not satisfied with the victim's statements, he waived an arrest warrant against the suspected black African for the time being. According to the public prosecutor's office, the evidence is too lacking, reports the newspaper "Kronen-Zeitung". Further surveys are in progress. In recent months there have been repeated brutal sex attacks by migrants in Linz. On Monday, the trial against the rejected Afghan asylum seeker took place at the Linz Regional Court. In October 2017, he raped a woman near the Urfahraner market area and committed two further rape attempts during the same period. In January, four allegedly Afghan asylum seekers grabbed a 13-year-old girl and sexually attacked her. In June last year, a Turk and an Afghan raped a 19-year-old schoolgirl in a basement on Dinghofer Street in Linz - the two perpetrators were convicted this year.
