Germany: Cultural-historically important cross damaged and stolen

There stands the "Hansen Kreuz", which belongs to the cultural heritage of the  Trier region, for over 300 years unharmed in the municipality Dierscheid, in the forest area of the Keller hill. So far unknown perpetrators damaged the sandstone cross in the time from Sunday, July 8th to Tuesday, July 10th. The perpetrator or perpetrators used a heavy tool to knock down the Jesus figure on the cross from the sandstone base. Only fragments of the sandstone cross were found at the scene. It must therefore be assumed that the perpetrator or perpetrators have stolen the cross. The police are therefore asking for relevant information on who can provide information about the crime or the whereabouts of the sandstone cross.
