Germany: 23-year-old asylum seeker committed two offences in one day

The police had to take action twice on Wednesday because of a 23-year-old asylum seeker. In a shelter for asylum seekers in the town of Karlsruhe around 10.30 a.m. the young man snatched a mobile phone from a 7-year-old girl and threw it away. After the girl's father confronted the man, there was a skirmish. Father and daughter were slightly injured in the dispute. On the same day, around 7.30 pm, the man from Ghana was noticed again. From a bridge over the national highway 10 he threw an object onto a car passing under the bridge. Fortunately, this only caused soiling of the vehicle and no damage whatsoever. While checking the location, police officers were able to observe the 23-year-old throwing another object onto the road. At that time, however, there was no vehicle under the bridge. The slightly drunk man was subsequently taken into custody.
