Yesterday, early Saturday morning, around 00:00 a.m., a 27-year-old woman from Essen was on her way home. She walked along the Huyssenalle street sidewalk coming from the downtown in the direction of Rüttenscheid. A man approached her about the height of the Philharmonie hall. He suddenly took a quick step towards the woman and touched her indecently with his hands. Then the perpetrator fled via Heinrich street in the direction of Kleist street. The injured woman pursued the man by far. When he noticed the pursuit, he took a few stones from a rubble container there and threw them at the woman. When the perpetrator noticed that he had not hit the woman, he fled further in the direction of Bismarck street. The police, meanwhile informed by the 27-year-old woman, immediately searched for the perpetrator, without success. He is described as follows: approx. 20 - 30 years old, approx. 175 cm tall, of Mediterranean appearance with conspicuously tanned skin, roundish/broad face, dark hooded sweater, dark underwear. Furthermore, the police are looking for a passer-by whom the victim had approached during the prosecution of the perpetrator. This witness is asked to report to the police.
