Germany: Asylum seekers of different nationalities fight each other in a public bus

On Monday evening there was a dispute between several people on bus route 1 in Gießen. A 26-year-old Algerian asylum seeker got on the bus at about 22.50 pm together with another person in the downtown area. About five asylum seekers from Georgia are said to have stayed on the bus. A little later, disputes between the Algerian and the other group apparently broke out. Suddenly the five persons are said to have attacked the 26 year old with blows and kicks. One of the perpetrators is said to have tried to injure the Algerian with a knife. Other bus passengers are then said to have intervened.The police are looking for witnesses who can provide clues to the dispute. Please call the police station Gießen Nord at 0641 - 7006 3755.
