In Berlin's suburban train: 20-year-old Syrian stabs 35-year-old German

Yesterday, Tuesday, the Federal Police announced that around 12:50 p.m., the control center of the Berlin suburban train informed the Federal Police about disputes in a suburban train travelling into downtown Berlin between Warschauer Street and Ostbahnhof stations. According to initial information, the 20-year-old Syrian citizen stabbed the 35-year-old German citizen in the thigh with a knife. Travellers intervened and detained the attacker until alarmed federal police arrived. After the suburban train entered the Ostbahnhof station, the officers arrested the man and confiscated the knife. The victim of the attack was sent to a hospital. The suburban train was discontinued. The federal police initiated investigations, which are currently ongoing.
