On Wednesday, a woman was raped in a car in Essen by a suspected Syrian refugee. A randomly passing police car arrested the man. "When a patrol car accidentally drove past the parked car, the victim used the opportunity. The woman (31 years old) jumped out of the car into the street, asked the police for help," reports the Bild newspaper about the incident on Wednesday night, which is not yet recorded in the Essen police report. The woman told the police that she had just been raped by the Syrian. The officers then arrested the suspected rapist (35 years old) in the car. He is a refugee from Syria known to the police. The open question is who owns the car and how the woman or the Syrian got into it.
